I previously ordered a book through Alibris in July of this year and made full payment for that ordered book at the price and under the terms set out in the Alibris Website listing. Alibris, however, was uncooperative in requiring the listing bookseller, Wilmington Books, to comply with its book listing on Alibris's Website, and Alibris did so in despite evidence and proof that Wilmington Books retained possession of multiple copies of the ordered book and was still offering those individual copies for sale (albeit at a higher price than Wilmington Books had originally listed the book in that listing to which I had responded and to which offer I had accepted and paid for in full). Although my payment was fully refunded, Wilmington Books wilfully refused to fulfill the paid book order. I am unhappy that Alibris made no demonstrable effort to hold Wilmington Books accountable for compliance with and fulfillment of its book listing on the Alibris Website.

I was going to pay in CDN, but was told I couldn't use Paypal for that. I was told my order would only be processed in USD, and that Paypal wouldn't work with CDN. In this case, please add instructions on how to change currency to USD, because I am glad I was able to use Paypal, as I prefer it. Many thanks for a wonderful transaction! Stay awesome :)

It was confusing. I ordered 2, then 1 more book and did not receive free shipping. It wasn't until later that your site suggested the best way to get most of the books free of shipping charges.

As a first time visitor (and buyer) to you web site, most everything was user friendly. It would be nice if when you click n a book it would give you a few more pictures. I was specifically searching for postcard books, I went to the internet to look the book up to find more facts, like are the postcard really usable to mail and pictures to see if the postcards are what I am expecting. Covers can be deceiving. I also had issues with the "Order Summary" page, it showed my coupon but it also had est. Shipping cost. I was leary of proceeding to payment, but since I was paying with PayPal I figured I could cancel if it did in fact charge my account for shipping. One other item was on your "Contact Us" Customer heading it says to go to "contact Customer Service" When you go to this link it asks you to file out the form, BUT at the bottom of the form it says contact us by phone. I didn't read the rest of the information in the right column, my eyes jumped right to the phone number thinking that I could get a quick response to my shipping question. Oh I did look under shipping, but it gave no information that pertained to my question. Any way, these are small things, but they would clarify things for a new comer to your website. Even a blurb under shipping that stated that shipping charges would be removed prior to final payment step. I REALLY dislike that I can not submit this review to you without clicking that I agree to have this published..
Google search showed that your price on one of the postcard book I was looking for was the least expensive. I ship out a lot of postcards. I belong to Posscrossing.com,

I've been using ALibris for 20 years (I know this because I can see old shipping addresses in my profile that go back that far). I simply feel really ripped off by the shipping charges. $4.95 to ship a paperback just feels too high. It puts the total price too close to just buying the books new from online-bookseller-who-shall-not-be-named. I really want to support used bookstores, so I went ahead and paid to use ALibris, but I felt ripped off. // I would add to this that it's really difficult to search among multiple copies of the book in the same condition. The edition I wanted covered 50 pages of items, and I wanted Very Good quality. I did a sort by "Condition" but that grouped so many pages of "New" at the top that I had to hunt and peck around until I found the Very Goods. // So if the shipping cost were cheaper, I wouldn't mind the hunting and pecking. Alternately, if finding the copy I wanted in the condition I wanted were a breeze, I might have more easily been able to find a high-quality "Good" copy that could have met my needs, and I wouldn't have minded the shipping so much. // So, just overall, a somewhat demoralizing experience.
Long history of doing business with them, only needed a used (not new) book, and wanting to very much support used bookstores.

Somehow freight went from free if I spend about $16 more to not free shipping. Site is a little awkward to navigate, at least from a new user perspective.

Can't tell why HPB, Inc is different than Half Price Books, Inc, and Half Price Books Diamond etc. Annoyed I have to pay shipping twice. Also wish I could send a gift card or acknowledgement with my order as it is a gift.

I was very happy to find out that you had the books I wanted. I felt a gut punch when I found out that both books would cost over nine dollars to mail. I don't understand why it would cost that much.

Shipping is too expensive and even items coming from the same seller do not combine shipping. I would use the site much more if the shipping was reigned in.
The prices always draw me to the site, but when I get to the cart, I always have to get rid of a lot of what I picked out because of shipping costs.
