I cannot figure out how to place one order with books going to two different addresses. Otherwise, great prices, books in good condition and most always a quick turn around on my orders.

I tried to place an order for a book written in English but it came up Spanish. I had quite a time getting rid of the Spanish and replacing it with English. Should be easier to change order during the check out process.

I ordered a book for my kids. Alibris contacted me to ask if I had received the item. I dug into me records and found that it had been a long time since I had ordered it and I had not gotten the book. I responded with that information and asked to cancel the order and get a refund. They claim they cannot cancel and that the order was shipped, but also noted there is no shipping information. This is very suspicious and I would advise that customers do business with more reliable and honest companies. I will not be shopping with Alibris anytime soon. The book itself was difficult to find at the time i ordered. Alibris had it for $21.59. I have since found it for $9. This very much feel like a scam to me.

4-11-24 update Alibris reached out to me after this review and corrected the issue with a refund. The message did suggest that I had chosen the wrong option. Bad enough to have the initial rejection, not ideal to blame the customer after the fact. Happy to have gotten the refund, but there is more to customer satisfaction than just money. Bots are neat, but still a long way from a suitable substitute for good customer skills.

An order can't be canceled once it has been shipped, therefore the answer to your request to cancel the order was "sorry, we can't." Ultimately, what you want is a refund for an order that has been lost because it didn't arrive. That is what I have processed now.
