Love this site. Especially benefit from others' comments on posted recipes. Videos are incredible as a learning tool. Ingredient lookup function is priceless when you have leftovers and want to combine them/use them up. Very few sites that I'm faithful to and this is one!
I found two recipes that I followed on all recipes.com to yield results inconsistent with those advertised to be expected. It seemed as if they were just dreamt up, and published without any practical application. I then tried to submit a comment, and was advised that the email address does not exist.

Brilliant! Easy to use site that let's you look up names of recipes, or search my ingredients. Each recipe is reviewed by those who have tried it and so you get honest feedback. I teach a cooking skill session at my church for young women and I always tell them about this awesome go to site for recipes and meal ideas.
I love getting recipes from this website. I've got 7 grandchildren that are always hungry and I'm always looking for new things to make. Searching the site for something new is easy and convenient as you can search by ingredient.
I enjoy experimenting with the food and cooking. Found this website a while ago while searching for some recipes. I'm glad for finding it very quickly. So many recipes any reason from breakfast, lunch, celebrities to many more. Thanks for sharing wonderful ideas
I relied on Allrecipes, and I saved a number of recipes to my account over the years. However, I've grown to loathe logging onto the site because it is now very clumsy, overloaded with ads, and one must go click through very slowly to get to "favorites" or through searches. And the ad for its magazine appears frequently in a pop up, which stops everything. Who wants a print magazine? The point of the site for me was its convenience and efficiency, not to mention that it was handy to not have to print a recipe. Allrecipes used to offer an easy way to store, review, and try recipes. I will be searching for new, less clunky ad-driven recipe sites in the future.
I've been an Allrecipes fan for years, till now. I must agree with many of the other reviewers. These changes were not for the better! My biggest beef is that the new web pages will NOT allow me to save any recipes. For me, that was the main attraction to this website. Now, I have to put anything I want to save on to Pinterest. This makes the recipe box rather pointless. I do hope Allrecipes will look at these reviews and take them seriously. - Lizzy R.
I've gotten many good recipes from this site but I think that the rating system is ridiculous. I don't think there's a single recipe that people who give it 5 stars haven't tinkered with, sometimes in very substantial ways. How you could take a recipe, change it fundamentally, and then give it a five star is beyond me. What's the point?
I used the AllRecipes site 4 or 5 times a week for years. I loved how quickly and efficiently I could find something to whip up when in a hurry. Now I DREAD trying to find something new to try. The new format seems so illogical to me! There is not a single thing that makes the site easier or more efficient to use, the recipes don't even line up making it impossible to quickly scan for anything. My iPad was too old to accept the update so that was what I was using, until now. I can no longer log-in, I just get a message saying "... technical difficulties. Please try again" I've lost everything I saved and could just cry I'm so mad!
This was my 'go to' website for recipes and from which I could learn cooking tips. I could print recipes and helpful comments. Not any more. It was easy to navigate. Not now. And I know it's not just me. Allrecipes used to come up first on a Google search. Doesn't show up at all now and we all know what that means! Too bad! Did Allrecipes' competition buy it out to eliminate it? What other logical explanation can there be? Sigh. Well, on to finding my next favorite recipe website.
This is sad. Allrecipes has been my favorite recipe site for years. I teach a cooking class for high school students and this is where I USED to send them. Not anymore. No longer can you order recipes by rating, and the adjust a recipe doesn't work (at least not for me). So frustrating. I don't even bother looking anymore. Such a shame.
I used this site all the time until they ruined it! I was able to search for a recipe, then sort those recipes by ratings, which saved me tons of time. Now it will not let you sort so I am expected to weed through some 9000+ recipes in some cases? If they wanted people to stop using their site I guess they figured out how to do that. Bring back the old site and then I will use it again!
Response is terrible, and this is nothing new. I try in the morning, noon, early afternoon, dinnertime, late at night, always consistently bad. When I have the time to spend I find recipes, copy & paste into documents and save them. There is no way to actually read the website while I am cooking.
WHY Would you change something that was so great?!?!?! This is so annoying...I've been using All Recipes for over 20 years and the App has always been way better than the website! NOW they decided to get rid of the App which has over 20 years of saved recipes. For some reason, the website has always been bad because you cannot sort and filter by Popularity, most reviews, etc...The app was really cool!
Are you trying to completely sink your company?! I guess I'll have to try the "Tasty" app. I hate when companies do this crap...They get some hot shot in there to try and Change everything when essential they ruin the entire company platform just like Budlight.
Love the recipe ideas on this site, they give me a lot of great inspiration (especially around the holidays!)
Generally, I tweak the recipes a little to suit my tastes and occasionally make them more efficient, but overall it is a great site for relatively simple recipes.
This is a great site to look for recipes.
I have liked many recipes from here and placed them in the Favourites of my account, and they were accessible from my iPad and some of them even have videos!
What's more is that we are able to add the ingredients individually or all of them into a specially designed shopping list, making the process of cooking great meals as hassle free as possible.
I feel that of so many recipe sites I've visited, this is a one-stop solution for whipping up an awesome dish even for last minute events.
I don't use recipe sites often, but sometimes during the holidays I'm in the mood for a new cookie or dessert recipe. I also rarely write reviews, but I feel the need to vent my frustration and disappointment. This site is merely an annoying array of ads, pop-ups, and product shilling with a recipe hidden in there somewhere...
With the myriad recipe sites available, I certainly won't be returning to this one again!
I've found some great recipes on this site, but I'm not sure why they changed the format. I miss being able to add my own notes to the recipes. Notes reminded me how well I liked it and why, and what, if anything, I would do differently next time. Why did they take that feature away?!
This was my go-to site when cooking. The recipes are excellent! I have been a member for a long time and have watched the site deteriorate over the years.
I have complained to their CS dept., filled out their surveys, and yet they don't care. I have even taken to writing their advertisers asking why they waste their money on such a crappy site.
I now just google what I want to make or go to Food.com. All Recipes should be ashamed of their lousy site.
Printing a recipe from the old website was so much nicer than your new one. If I print from your actual recipe page, the number of servings and calories does not show up on the printed copy. Why? When a new website is created, it's supposed to be improved not more confusing.
Allrecipes.com used to be my ONLY go-to site for recipes but now I hate it. The user interface is confusing, cluttered and most importantly there is NO SORT OPTION. In the past my habit was to type in a general term like "chocolate cake" etc. and when it pulled up 100+ cakes the next thing I did was to sort according to user reviews so I always got to see the most tried and liked recipes. But... no more! For some totally bizarre reason they've completely done away with that most important option. I will never understand why companies do this... take a system or product that works and that everyone loves and then change it to where lots of people hate it! I now tend to totally skip allrecipes and go straight to google to look for recipes. I wish they'd go back to the simple, precise and awesome system they used to have before they totally ruined it.
If I have a recipe that takes 30 minutes to make, but it takes almost 20 minutes to find it, it's not worth it! Pages load SO slow. Searching through my favorites is SO slow (and if I click a recipe it takes me back to the top of the list every time). The search feature doesn't work at all in my favorites. For example, I have about 10 recipes with the word "banana" in the title. But depending on the day, 0 or 2 or 5 of them will be displayed. It's so fickle and broken. :( Looking for a new recipes site...
I adore cooking and Allrecipes is one of my favorite sites. The reviews help to choose good recipes and this often saves time and money. Their low-calorie menus allowed me to lose several kilo this spring without skipping meat and some other products I cannot live without. I always apply to Allrecipes whenever I have inspiration to cook something special.
I subscribed to see if any recipes were ones I wanted to try. Then came the emails. I would delete a few, then immediately be assaulted by a few more. When I look at my emails I do not like having to delete all the incessant and repeated emails from a company that does not represent me, or listen to my wishes.
I have tried to unsubscribe many times. Each time I get "Oh Snap, something went wrong. Try again later"
And then they immediately pelt my email address with more unwanted emails.
Do not subscribe or give your email address to allrecipes.com or any of the Meredith sites. I am believing that the refusal to unsubscribe me comes from the Meredith site.
Sorry for being so long in my review. Negative stars is not an option.
I try to avoid this site because it is so painfully slow... I assume because it's loaded with ads, etc. Sometimes I really want a recipe I know is on Allrecipes and am willing to endure the wait. Right now I have it open in another window and it's still connecting. Never mind... it just timed out.
This Website is terrible for storing personal recipes. You cannot edit the recipe or delete it once you've created it. Sometimes there is just a typo i want to fix, and I can't edit it. Drives me nuts. Not worth the hassle.
