Love this site. Especially benefit from others' comments on posted recipes. Videos are incredible as a learning tool. Ingredient lookup function is priceless when you have leftovers and want to combine them/use them up. Very few sites that I'm faithful to and this is one!
I found two recipes that I followed on all recipes.com to yield results inconsistent with those advertised to be expected. It seemed as if they were just dreamt up, and published without any practical application. I then tried to submit a comment, and was advised that the email address does not exist.
This recipe has some wording that should be clarified in regard to the amount of rice. Instead of 8.8 oz of rice cooked it would be better to say 8.8 oz of COOKED rice. There is a difference. I should have followed my instinct and I wouldn't have ruined my mixture. I have used a lot of your recipes and liked them. I will trust my own cooking experiences in the future. The recipe really sounded good and easy to make was why I tried it I will have to stick with my old way to make cabbage rolls in the future.
I used to LOVE this site. I used it all the time. I hate it now and have just about given up on it. I have found I am searching for recipes anywhere other than her now. The site is so slow. The little Apple wheel just spins and spins. This does not happen on any other site I use. I loved you once allreipes but I am breaking up with you. Goodbye.
I have never been considered a good cook, and I have no imagination of how to add to, or change a recipe, but since using the allrecipes site, I have been learning how to do that. I know some people get annoyed with others who change recipes, but for me it's very helpfull. It gives me ideas as to what to do. My cooking is definetly improving, and I have to thank everyone who has sbubmitted recipes on allrecipes.com. Maybe one day I'll feel brave enough to submit one myself.
This is so far the only recipe site I use. I love the serach feature,, it is very extensive. I like that you can adjust the servings on a recipe and it will change the ingredients for you. My favorite part is to read the reviews, because I have learned a great deal about how to imprive the recipe. When I look for the a recipe I sort by recipe rating for a dish.
I have been a allrecipes member for years and now I can't even find recipes I want to try. When I search for a recipe it gives me about a dozen to choose from and then the list turns into completely unrelated recipes that are suggestions for me. I want what I was searching for not smoked salmon or snickerdoodles. I recently lost all of my saved recipes when I went to login I was told my email address had expired and when I tried to enter it I was told they couldn't find it and to contact the admins. It's not worth the hassle anymore. Goodbye Allrecipes. I'll miss what you were, not what you've become.
I used to go to this site for a majority of recipes. Something has changed. I couldn't even get on site. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Signed up years ago and have my email and password saved. When I tried to log in, it said it didn't recognize my email address. For years I only had 1 email address so I know I sign in with my "go to" address, but said it was"not found". Lost all of my saved recipes. Site has great recipes, but the new design is awful
After years of entering recipes, writing reviews, blogging, and getting new ideas from this site, someone(s) on the allrecipes.com staff decided they needed to update their website. I'm only guessing they used 20-30 year olds who don't spend a lot of time cooking.
The updated site has the following problems:
Users can't access all the recipes they've entered onto the site.
Emails with a link to a new review of your recipe don't go to the review: they go to the recipe. From there, you have to find the "reviews" section on the page.
When looking for new recipes, users can't sort by recipe ratings.
Users who've posted blogs in the past can't access them.
Blogs are now filtered through their staff and, so far, the one I wrote about the problems I'm having with their new site hasn't been posted.
This used to be an incredibly user friendly site. Now, it's more focused on the look than ease of use and content. A perfect example of turning marketing over to those who haven't got a clue about what it's like to be a cook (or an iPhone user... but that's another story).
When are you going to fix your new format problems? I haven't been able to access my recipe box since you changed. I sent you an email a few months ago asking this, but have never heard back.
Not sure why they stopped allowing you to do this. This used to be my favorite recipe website. I'm assuming they probably push ads to the top that people pay for instead of actually good recipes.
What happened to the ADD NOTES feature? I don't see it anymore. Really a big mistake.
NOTE TO USERS- I'm now copying recipes to Notes on my iPad. That way I can adjust and add any notes, and not have to depend on allrecipies site dropping features or going offline. Fyi.
Easy and fun recipes for all occasions - This simple and navigable site contains hundreds of thousands of searchable recipes submitted by home cooks (totally doable, even for the kitchen-challenged). You can even search for recipes using specific ingredients if you have random leftover ingredients that you would like to use up.
Very cool is the option of scaling the original recipe yield for the number of servings. They even have a nutritional breakdown for each recipe, a section on similar recipes, downloadable cookbooks (their summer picnic cookbook is pretty good), and an entire section on budget-friendly recipes. I'm a fan of their shopping list feature, where you can save recipes in your recipe box and the site creates a shopping list organized by category (e.g. Produce, meat, dairy, etc.). How convenient.
The best part about this site is that the recipes are reviewed and rated by users, and a sizable proportion of them have creative modification suggestions (to make the end result tastier, healthier, or even better, both!).
I didn't even like lemon bars until I tried these (check out the modification suggested by the second reviewer - it's best with freshly squeezed lemon juice): http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Bake-Sale-Lemon-Bars/Detail.aspx
Ha, I love this place. I just signed up and you are previewing one of my favorite sites. I am on it at least once per day. Some of my best creations are taken from all recipes.
I am very unhappy with the advertising that pops up when i try to use the site for recipes. It usually takes up half a page and makes reading the recipe almost impossible
I love Allrecipes because the spinner option is very easy to use and gives you great choices of dishes to make with what you have and the alloted time you have. The comments section is also very helpful becuase I cna get advice on what to do when I mkae it before I start.
What started as a great site to get recipes and share recipes has gone to pot. Unfortunately, it's a long simmering pot. The good has been cooked out of the site. The ability to modify and save recipes disappeared long ago. The dinner spinner feature never really worked. The final straw was moving all my favorites into various collections with no input from myself. And on top of that, they removed the ability to search my favorite recipes. I've got thousands saved. Trying to figure out where they put it was like trying to find where the grocer thinks that one item you're looking for should be in his store. What makes sense to him, doesn't to you. When I contacted them about that, they said that the current iteration of the site doesn't support search and they MIGHT bring it back, but it wasn't in the immediate plans. A total disregard for their base. If Meredith were a politician, they'd be voted out. Time to move on. I printed all my favorites to PDF files. I can now search for them easily on my PC. Having Adobe DC Pro, I can also edit them. Such a shame that such a great site was left on too long to the point of a serious reduction.
Ads galore and no ability to filter or sort. Now its endless scrolling with no ability to distill what I need. Goodbye my dear recipe site. I'll miss you
Not an issue comes out that there is not something I want to try. I like the website and Chef John was introduced to me through AllRecipes. Everything I have tried was delicious.
It must be the Ads but this website is extremely bad. The recipe content is good but the loading and errors are ridiculous. I'm avoiding as much as possible
All my saved recipes are gone. I saved them for years. It's like losing my favorite cookbook. I hope another similar app becomes available, I would pay for it.
I used to love this site. Now, I can't print a recipe. What is up with that? This is the last place I will look for a recipe now. Sadly, it is just not working for me.
This is very creative area to learn new recipes. I am a dog owner and they have homemade dog food recipes too, and I try to prepare my dog these perfect recipes.
This is a awesome website. This is the first place I go for recipes. I love how you can adjust the recipe by how many servings. Great for trying a new recipe. Love love love it!

I used to LOVE All Recipes. I can't use it on my computer now and it's even more useless on my tablet. Why, AllRecipes?! I can't even use it anymore...
I used to love this site and used it almost constantly for years. Now I can't sort, search is like pinterest without as many results. Hate it, hate it, hate it.
That was the best feature along with ability to great collections. Not only were both removed but all of my notes. Am looking for another recipe system.
