Hi, I absolutely love the website but unfortunately for some reason I cannot access "My Recipes" box. This has happened 3 times since I have been a member (about Nov/Dec 2010). It is so disappointing as I can't get to the super recipes I have saved and can't save any of the latest ones. Please help! I am using an iPad 1 if it will help. Thanks so much. Helen
I found two recipes that I followed on all recipes.com to yield results inconsistent with those advertised to be expected. It seemed as if they were just dreamt up, and published without any practical application. I then tried to submit a comment, and was advised that the email address does not exist.

What does celebrating black women have to do with cooking chicken? Help build societal change by taking color out of the equation. Choosing leaders for the future should be based on merit, not on color.
Chicken was delicious!
I used and LOVED the app for years! I had all my favorite recipes saved and I went back to it often to be inspired and find new things. Since we were all forced to this website now, I've lost all of my saved recipes and it's difficult to use the recipes. I like to look at the list of ingredients read thru the reviews, etc. Now each recipe reads like an article. I don't want to read all the dribble just to figure out if I want to make the recipe and if I have the ingredients on hand. You have taken one of the best apps there was (and one I told lots of my friends about) and turned it into something I rarely use. Please bring back the app!

Just the website
Our extended family started using Allrecipes over a decade ago, primarily to store and share recipes between family members. We entered hundreds of recipes. All of our recipes were lost and Allrecipes has not been helpful in helping us locate where they went. Tech support has been vague and unhelpful. Do not trust. Allrecipes 10-15 years ago was 1000% better than it is now.
I used to love AllRecipes. All of my family's favourite meals I found on this site. It is still okay on the iPhone, however, the desktop version is awful. The ad at the top takes up 75% of the screen and it does not go away unless you are looking at your account information. You can not see anything of value on the site. It is virtually impossible to now look for new recipes. I will have to look elsewhere for good meals. Such a shame.
I used this site extensively, sorted recipes by ratings, and never could go wrong. Something changed and it is utterly unusable. Why would I waste my time going over recipes with 1 star? You really messed up Allrecipes.com. I am no longer a customer. Horrible business decision.
I really don't get what has happened to this website over the past two years or so. It's slowly become less and less functional, and their most recent update is just terrible. I'm going to find a different recipe site now because AllRecipes is such a mess. Now all of your saved recipes are in one category (which doesn't really make sense), and you can't choose how to sort them. I haven't been able to save recipes as "I Made This" for like a year, and none of my reviews have saved since then. They must be intentionally running this site into the ground.
Tip for consumers:
They don't respond to any customer service emails, so don't bother
Allrecipes used to be brilliant. It was amazing. They took away menu planner, the interface sucks, you can't put your own recipes in efficiently any more, there are adds everywhere, and not just 10-15 seconds, but freaking 30 second ads. There is nothing good about all recipes anymore.
When I first complained about the new website, Allrecipes had an over 80% positive rating on SiteJabber. A year or so later? It's now below 60%.
And their management think they're onto something better than what they had before. Hah! Try a simple Google search for recipes you have in mind: you've find plenty of links, many with ratings, and you won't have to put up with the Allrecipes attitude which, forgive me, sucks. Big Time.
I understand websites are paid for with ads, but if the ads make a site unusable, everyone loses. I won't be using Allrecipes anymore after trying to follow a recipe and getting kicked out every time I tried to scroll down. This site is worthless. Go dig up your grandmas' recipes instead. You'll get less indigestion.
Like many others, I've frequented this site for many, many years. There were thousands of user-submitted recipes, and tens of thousands of ratings + reviews to guide you. Now, that most critical feature of the website has been rendered useless due to some idiot removing the ability to sort recipes by rating.
I understood when the site started turning into more of an online magazine, although I did not see the use of it. I bristled when they intrusively started "suggesting" where I could buy the ingredients for my recipes nearby, and at what price. But losing the ability to figure out which recipe is best, as crowd-decided by thousands like me? Sorry, but someone should be fired and publicly shamed for stupidity. It's like Burger King decided to stop selling burgers; I only went there for one thing, and now it's gone.
Love this site. Especially benefit from others' comments on posted recipes. Videos are incredible as a learning tool. Ingredient lookup function is priceless when you have leftovers and want to combine them/use them up. Very few sites that I'm faithful to and this is one!
This site contains so many cooking recipes I've never seen, I do like these delicate food pics, but there are really too many choices to make a quick decision. You might meet an unpalatable recipe if you randomly pick one, or spend too much time to find the best one. A good place to try new tastes.
IPhone user here. Since the change I'm getting ads that I can't get rid of and the pages load so slowly that it takes twice as long for me to finish a recipe.
Another minor annoyance is how it opens up another tab every time I click 'see instructions and video' Something funny going on, here. I just want to look at the recipe!
I used to love this site and had many great go-to recipes. Wish I could access them more easily.
A cook has always had to keep in mind that anyone could post any untested, unpalatable nonsense to AllRecipes and call it a "recipe." The sort function helped weed out the worst culinary offenses quickly. Careful reading of the reviews posted by cooks who had prepared the dish would then result in a decent recipe.
So, of course, the site has been "redesigned" to eliminate the only feature that made the site remotely useful. If I could block AllRecipes from ever appearing among my search results again, I would. I certainly won't bother to click on AllRecipes again.
Good luck with that ad revenue AllRecipes! Mm-Bye-bye.
Brilliant! Easy to use site that let's you look up names of recipes, or search my ingredients. Each recipe is reviewed by those who have tried it and so you get honest feedback. I teach a cooking skill session at my church for young women and I always tell them about this awesome go to site for recipes and meal ideas.
Bunch of Morons. Poll your users before making idiotic changes to your site; cannot sort by reviews of recipes. Took away vital and useful user tools. Seems to me like you took this function away to possibly have users stay longer on your site by making them hunt for recipes to get a higher engagement score and lower bounce rate... in reality you probably have missed the mark. I bet most of us long time users are leaving very quickly now or not coming at all...
This used to be my go-to because I could sort by rating. It is worthless now. Please fired the person that overlooked this and take these user reviews to heart. Bring back that feature before you blow it forever. Thanks!
I love getting recipes from this website. I've got 7 grandchildren that are always hungry and I'm always looking for new things to make. Searching the site for something new is easy and convenient as you can search by ingredient.
I have gotten several good recipes from this site but for the past few months the website has not functioned properly. It skips around and won't stay on a page. One could get nauseated if you watched it for too long. Too bad, it was good.at one time.
I have been using this site for years (probably a decade) and this update is the absolute worst I have ever seen. (Funny enough the Food Network site is really lousy too but this is worse.) I agree with the many comments so I will not repeat them
However, I did send an email to their technical team to ask them to STOP insulting our intelligence with that stuff on java and cookies. They want to play with the big media dogs but apparently do not have the talent or skills. They should stick to what they did best and the people will come.
I enjoy experimenting with the food and cooking. Found this website a while ago while searching for some recipes. I'm glad for finding it very quickly. So many recipes any reason from breakfast, lunch, celebrities to many more. Thanks for sharing wonderful ideas
The site used to be great, but it's so overrun with ads that it's incredibly slow and crashes often. I usually start by trying out this site but end up going to others because of these technical issues.
I've gotten many good recipes from this site but I think that the rating system is ridiculous. I don't think there's a single recipe that people who give it 5 stars haven't tinkered with, sometimes in very substantial ways. How you could take a recipe, change it fundamentally, and then give it a five star is beyond me. What's the point?
I've found some great recipes on this site, but I'm not sure why they changed the format. I miss being able to add my own notes to the recipes. Notes reminded me how well I liked it and why, and what, if anything, I would do differently next time. Why did they take that feature away?!
