My 5 year old MacBook Air would not connect to my new Canon printer. Mark spent 4-5 hours patiently finding a way to remotely access my computer and look for evidence of virus infection or other problems. He felt an overnight reset might be needed. Next day the problem was not resolved. Called again. This time I spoke to Steve T who also had extraordinary patience and kindness. Got the printer to work via wifi and told me not to try the cable again. Worked great for 2 months till I forgot and used the cable (head slap!). Steve T answered the call this time and got that problem fixed in JUST A FEW MINUTES this time and installed the new Norton application for me quickly as well. I give this company super-high ratings. Outstanding effort and patience. Worth every penny.
I first contacted Norton on a billing issue. Then I was on with a support agent who was wanting to access my computer. What made me listen to him was he would be giving me a credit for what I had already paid for Norton. He continued to fix my computer on line remote and told me of the problems i had. He then offered me the yearly support packeages. Like an idiot i selected the 5 year plan for 699.00. Well its two days into it and my computer have many issues that developed. When you dial them you sit on hold for a couple of minutes then they say good by and your disconnected. I'm going to dispute the charge on my CC. And see what happends.
They pretended to be Canon tech support and asked to install software on my laptop to determine what part the printer needs. Scammers stealing personal information. Avoid.
I have had Allroundfix technical support for almost a year now and they have helped me get mul-tiple problems figured out... no matter when I call them. They are courteous and helpful.
I logged in to McAfee "official" website to buy antivirus protection. All Round Fix LLC spoofed the connection and claimed to be the tech support for McAfee to gain confidence. The woman on the phone pushed to sell one year of McAfee antivirus and 3 years of technical support for $599. A technician installed McAfee and I gave him access to my computer for him to fix any errors.
On October 2021 All Round Fix LLC called saying, "We are your Technical Support and have observed some network abnormalities and we need to access your PC to check it out". The guy wanted an additional $599 to fix the problem. I said no. Suddenly my screen became all blue and I could not see what was going on… the hacker was actually downloading all my files!
I quickly pulled the power cord from my PC and asked, "So, you are the hacker!" "Yes, I am the hacker and I already got everything that I need, he replied"
When he got to my bank login page he could not get in because, fortunately, I never saved the password to access my bank account.
I am not the only one that has been hacked by these crooks. There are many complains filed with the BBB where they pulled the same scam pretending to be the tech support for Norton.
Tip for consumers:
Hard to predict because I logged in to the official McAfee website and they spoofed the connection. This is the new trend and it was reported to the FTC and the FBI.
