Let me preface by saying I have been a customer of Al Serra for roughly 10 years. In that time I have used the service department (which has served me well) and the parts department which, until today, I have been satisfied with.
Over the course of years I have purchased a motor, 2 transmissions and a differential as well as miscellaneous low dollar parts from them but based on my experience today that relationship is severed. I can safely say that I have spent several thousand dollars with them but today for a transaction that might have been $20 I am done.
I tried calling on my mobile in route to the dealership the parts department and was transferred 3 times by Kelly and was cut off 3 times. After driving 20 miles to the dealership I was informed they didn't have my parts. A surly employee in the parts department told me he had taken 50 calls that morning and didn't know why I couldn't get through. Based on that attitude I will be taking my business elsewhere to someplace that values my business and appreciates that while today I may be spending $20, tomorrow it may be $2000.
I will encourage anyone I know and anyone who reads this to go elsewhere where your business is valued and appreciated. You have the opportunity and the obligation to patronize businesses that value your patronage.
