I went there for an eye check up on January 2nd, the doctor, was a young male and it was extremely rude and rushing patients, I told him he need to take it easy because none eye exam can be done in a rush, he said he had many patients after me, I said it was not my fault and if he doesn't have time he shouldn't book so many patients, I ordered 2 pair of progressive eyeglasses, one transition and the other polarized, it was 535 dollars, after 2 weeks only 1pair was ready, I went to picked them up and after a week returned them because they were very uncomfortable, another doctor did a recheck and it was an error in the previous measurement, plus an error from the lab, another 2 weeks more for my glasses, on top of that the other pair was never ready. After the proper time they call me to pick up the new glasses, and the old ones, the new and corrected were perfect, the other ones were wrongly cut, they did the right measurement for the left eye and the left measurement for the right eye, completely mistaken, at this point the manager took care of me, she was very polite and treat me with consideration, a very long story short, I just call today March 18 and glasses aren't ready yet, after the last visit on February 21st, they said on the phone they sent the glasses back for a re make on March 9, at this point I really don't know what to do, just go somewhere else, too expensive and is not worth it, almost 3 month for some glasses, like a 3rd world country

I am writing to review the "America's Best" in Hodgkins, IL. I had some questions about glasses and sunglasses I purchased there. Abe assisted me and answered all my questions. He was patient and very helpful. He answered my questions in terms I could understand. I will definitely continue to go there for my eyecare needs.

I don't have enough time to talk about everything wrong with this company. STAY AWAY! They won't give you a complete prescription UNLESS you but glasses from them. So you can't take their script somewhere else and get glasses. Their selection is awful and their prices are higher than they need to be. They even told me I had to pay for an eye exam BECAUSE I had insurance. Evidently, if you have NO insurance, your exam is FREE? WTH?

My husband and I both had eye exams and ordered glasses. My husband's glasses were so bad he couldn't even wear them. He had to have a 2nd exam and reorder his glasses. Went to pick them up and became doctor wasn't in they won't give him his glasses. On mine had them for 2 weeks and while watching tv the nose piece fell off and they wouldn't fix it. We do not recommend this place. Not worth the hassle wouldn't let me give zero stars

I bought glasses there, they were around 600.00. They were progressive glasses, which I told them I really didn't like but they said try them and you will like them. After a while I called and asked if I can just get reading glasses. They said I have them "adjusted" because they said that is the next step. When I went I said if they don't work in a couple weeks can I come back and get reading ones, she was like sure. I called and now being told I only had a month to switch "never told" and they would give me another pair of glasses for 70.00. I said why wasn't I told this and they said no sure who you spoke to but this is what we could do. They need to tell people they only have a month OR just give them what they asked for in the first place! So I am keeping 600.00 glasses I do not like cannot see my computer and can't use them for work... Great thanks America Best

I had a complaint for the treatment at Scherrerville IN store. Corporate office got involved immediately and made the manager aware which was not present the day of the incident. Kurtis is a problem solver. Couldn't ask for more than he did

Each lens is a bare burger with additional charges for each item. Blue light protection $$. Bifocal $$. No-line Bifocal $$$$$. Scratch resistant $.
Free exam maybe but my insurance wasn't accepted. Wasn't a big deal until i needed a retina specialist. I was told "their policy was 72 hours to place a referral ". Not my policy nor was I told what their policy was beforehand.

The 2 pair for $79 + free eye exam ended up costing over $400 plus trying to book me in their retina specialist that did not accept my insurance.

THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT

My niece took me to America's Best for 2 pairs of glasses. I paid $701.00 & I can't see out of either pair. Complete waste of money. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. My niece took me right back for an adjustment. What a joke. My name is Georgia Welch.

The first question I asked When making my apt was Do you take my insurance and they said yes, so I made an apt got my exam they never asked for my insurance until I asked about it after my exam was over and found out that they couldn't find what they were looking for for my insurance. They said they were going to call insurance the next day and call me back. They called me back and said that it was all covered. The doctor that checked my eyes was in another state but gave me some contacts to try but they were out and had to order them, well I called back a few weeks later and they still didn't come in, so i tried a few weeks after that and same answer. I called a third time and was told that they never were ordered. This was the worst experience that I ever had to deal with. I would rather for blind than to step foot in that place again.

They were very understanding with my first glasses why I didn't like them, but i think it was my lack of knowledge what i really ordered. But they didn't give me any hard time and today i picked up the very perfect glasses. Thank you sooo much!

I order my glasses on 02/15/2023,they call me on 03/09/2023 to pick up my glasses [ surprise] wrong prescription,the second pear of glasses [ surprise #2] wrong prescription again,[ i say, i want my many back [surprise # 3] sorry you only have 30 days to get your many back [ if you order your glasses in americas supposed to be the best call then every day because they wont call you,note there glasses are chanese over the counter quality,like walmart over the counter.

Upon my visit at AmericasBest in the month of July, it was the best I've received from the eyeglass specialist (Marcia, Angela, and Christina) that serviced me. These three ladies knew their jobs and was very helpful, and I've recommended AmericasBest to all my friends and co-workers. The customer service was at its highest level (10+++). I advise you to try AmericasBest the name speaks for itself. DWilson

I was told beforehand that my insurance would be accepted. Five days later at my appointment, I was told that it would not be honored. But they had a couple of other programs that I would like; both were quite a bit more expensive.

The Doctor is a 28 year retired from the Navy. My Mom and her 78 year old sister went in for an exam for the Highway department. The Doctor was EXTREMELY rude to both my Mom and her sister. He needs a course in how to treat people with respect. My only hope is that this review will finds its way to the right people so this type behavior doesn't continue.

They said it would take a week for my contacts to come in, they never called. I call them, they say it would take 2 weeks instead, they never called. The third week I went there personally and they had them, and never called, even though i even called to check a couple times. I finally schedule the contact class thing, and I thought I would learn something since they called it a class but they just expected me to know how to put it on and said i would have to stick to glasses after trying for 30min…

I went to the store on 44th St & Thomas in Phoenix, AZ, the front office help & optician were good. I just didn't like the manager how she spoke to one employee. While she spoke to other employees she was all nice but this one employee, she spoke in a high rough tone. It seemed like she was mad at her, didn't like her.

My husband, my son and my self when to this store and the customer service was amazing. The Doctor was super sweet and good in her diagnosis's. Lisset was great helping us buying the right lenses and gave us a decent price, her customer service was amazing. Very nice and knowledgeable store

The whole process went so smoothly, the doctor was so knowledgeable, the staff was so kind. I was looking through frames and the lady before me was raving how this was the best deal she had ever had and how thankful she was.

Being a first time buyer I wasn't sure what to look for or what was a good deal, but I got a free eye exam and two pairs of glasses for $79. Love this company.

Yesss! The service was awesome all the way from Anthony helping me with my glasses down to Kira helping finish everything up and to the lovely Queasha who is always welling to help! You'll please go by and check them out the America's Best in Bessemer, Al in the Mccalla Area! You want be disappointed

Went to Americas Best at 7000 Forest Avenue and the entire staff was a pleasure from when I walked in the door and the doctor. I sat there and heard an interaction between a disgruntled customer and Miss Michelle, she was simply Amazing. I had to go up to her when she was finished and tell her. I work in HR for HCPS and if someone could have made a video of her it was Absolute Perfection. Definitely going back there again.

Ordered glasses on the 15th they said a week to get them, called on the 28th they say it will be at least another week, I'm sure they never submitted the order to start with, the person I spoke with seemed to be pretty uncaring, should have gone somewhere else
