“GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE”

I have been a customer for several years. Multiple glasses and lenses purchased due to changing eyes. The staff at America's Best in York, PA have been great to work with. When their supplier for a sun glass frame had difficulty with the lenses, they provided alternatives and worked with me. I experienced excellent service from the staff. Mike the manager was involved and was super to work with. Next time I need glasses I'll be back. I recommend the York, PA America's Best! - Doug D.

I ordered 2 sets of glasses online on 7/4/24, they showed estimated ship date of 7/14/24. It's now 7/19/24 and I can't even get a status update, after waiting over 30 minutes on hold I gave up and left a voicemail message. We'll see if I get any response from "customer care" or should I say "customer, we don't care".

Followed all the rules. Filled out all the forms and talked to an associate on the phone. Asked what their policy was and was required to wear a mask. All good.
Walked in and more paperwork was required but it was all about Covid. I have had covid. I have my shots. But I was honest and said I was outside at a function with my mask on and there were people who said they were testing positive. She said 2 weeks I was good. Went to sit down and they told me I had to leave.
Why wasn't this told to me.
No apology. Wasted my whole day said I could come in for another week.
Lost my business.
They claim your time is important to them.
They do not care about you time.
Going to LensCrafters

If you know you need glasses bad it might be ok but no matter how well you see they will try to sell you glasses. I went for the exam only and was told nothing.

There are two female receptionists at the front desk (Reynolds Crossing Location) with serious coughing problems. You can clearly hear the phlegm come up in their mouth and instead of them spitting it out, they sit there and swallow it, DAMM.
SIMPLY NASTY. Someone needs to teach a course on office etiquette, especially as a customer service provider!

I eye exam for contacts and doctor gave me pair to use until I get contacts in mail.I had the ones doctor gave me so tried on frist and they did not work. So when I got the new ones in the mail I carried them back. They told me to bring them back on my next visit and they would refund. So on my next visit I carried them back. And then they told me to bring them back when I get my new one and they would make a refund and a exchange. So when I carried them back the last time they told me it was over 30 days and they couldn't make a refund. And they were sorry about the miss communication

I recently purchased a 6-month supply of SofMed contacts from America's Best (ha, that's a laugh). The left lens were highly distorted and the right was not much better (made in the UK). AB would not make good on their contacts... left me hanging with a bad product AND kept my mony! I went to COSCO and bought Bosh and Lom... PERFECT and $10 less. AB's is a thief in my opinion... they would NOT even offer replacement lens. I'll NEVER buy from them again... and, the optometrist was lousy too IN MY OPINION. The whole experience SUCKED and it still SUCKS. Save your money... go to a honest-real clinic... don't risk your eyes on AB's trash!

I was having double vision and i needed to update my prescription and this is the 3rd time i have gotten the two pairs for 79.99. It comes with an eye exam by two drs.dr han was great and she found a stigmatism.also let me not forget The kindest from the first person i spoke with Mattie.she was very caring and got me an appt of convenience.then Natalie who explained throughly what i was paying for and made a printout for me.and Jobe who showed me a large variety of frames to choose from.Everyone there made me feel so comfortable.Customer service was excellent from all.They made me feel so special.And followed through updating me when my glasses would be ready.Extremely happy with my glasses and Very impressed with the staff.5 staes to all.Highly recommend the Edgewater Nj location.Americas Best lived up to their name.! Thank u

Went in today to see doctor and the staff and doctor himself were so rude and insensitive. I was told I had some hemorrhaging in the back of the eye and the doctor was so rude.

My husband and I received the best customer service from our eye examine doctor Phuc Nguyen, O.D and Associate: Kevin. Kevin took his time in finding the best cost for our glasses and fit. Both the Doctor and Kevin were our kind of customer service that keeps us coming back to the Albany Oregon America's Best.

My son and I had an appointment yesterday and I can't begin to tell how bad the customer service was at the store on Roswell Rd at East Lake Plaza in Marietta Ga!
First they threaten to cancel our appointment if we didn't arrive 15 minutes prior to time, literally said they would close the door on us.
Then, SURPRISE, found out after 1 1/2 hours that my son has to return for another appointment to get new contacts. Took over an hour for them to input my insurance information and then the power went out. We left but now have to return today to finish the insurance payment process.
NEVER EVER will I return to this store again!

Great customer service and staff! Don't have to wait all day like other places. Had a problem with my insurance and they helped straighten it out. Will definitely be back.

Went there for the 69.95 eye exam plus 2 pair of glasses! Not even close to that price... well over 100.and then the run around about why! I walked out never to return!

Was at Americas Best (Reynolds Crossing Location In Richmond) to pick up my glasses and the front receptionist was talking about a pot luck at work and what she was going to bring which sound really good, but then this chick began to cough constantly and never once stopped working to spit that mess out her mouth or went to wash her hands. Who in the world would eat anything from her?

Do not even bother! I understand they sell cheap glasses, but I've had nothing but bad experiences with this place.
The staff are always friendly and as helpful as they can be but the Company as a whole is a disgrace.
We bought 2 pairs each. I very quickly had the lens pop out of a rimless pair. Brought them back, they were repaired, and I was told that I had just used up my 'Warranty'. It is really just 1 prepaid repair!
My wife's lens keeps popping out of her rimless. I can put it back in, but brought them in for repair. The put it back in. I said I've done that 3 times, I need them fixed properly so it doesn't keep happening. I was told they're fixed now, that's all they can do!
The arms came off on my other pair Was told that they're broken and can't be fixed-need to buy new rims. These are my 'back-ups' that have been worn maybe a dozen times.
So the "2 Pairs for $69"-Which cost over $200-plus "Warranty" (which can be used ONCE!) is a complete scam! The rims are cheaper than anything I've seen, including the big box stores!
You'll end up saving in the long run (money and aggravation)if you go anywhere else!

Hard metal chairs. Cold 45 minute wait. Left after I was told there was still someone a head of me. Doctor seemed unapologetic and annoyed that he was behind.

Warning, they DO NOT offer WARRANTY on any of their products. Soon as you walk about the door with the glasses, America's Best will not offer any refund or replacement. You must purchase an insurance policy that costs extra, and even then they hang up on you. They have no access to a corporate operation and they are operated with National Vision Corporation, who is raking in the profits for "Dollar Tree" quality on their frames and lenses. BUYER BEWARE - STAY AWAY.

My family have used America's best for several years, until today. I made the only available appointment for July for my son. His fist at 8byears old. I was sent a patient information request through my email. Filled it out. This past Monday, got a text to confirm. I did. Received 2 more texts confirming his appointment at 440 today. 7/20/2022. Then today at 10am, they call to cancel because he is a pediatric and will need more time to examine. My son live a couple hours away, made arrangements to have him with me today, and they cancel on the day of due to needing a few more minutes. They are open until 7pm. So they should have no problem seeing him. It wasn't my fault, they waited until today, not a month ago when I made the appointment to see his age, which I clearly filled out. Then they said the earliest would be August 10th, after school starts back up. Horrible customer service.

HUGE CANCER tumor not caught at America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, my eye had to BE REMOVED a month later! Went to America's Best Contacts& Eyeglasses on 9/18/2023 for exam and glasses, ALSO paid additional money for FDT and RETINAL IMAGING. They said everything was good and ordered me new glasses. When glasses arrived, still couldn't see well. Went to Michigan eye care provider on 10/16/23 who informed me a had a HUGE CANCER tumor on my eye. University of Michigan appt on 10/18/23 who informed me I had a huge 19mmx19mmx8mm chorodial melanoma tumor on my right eye. Eye was REMOVED on 10/30/23. Life expectancy is SHORT.

America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses were PAID to do a job and FAILED to do it properly. I had a detached retina on top of the huge tumor on the back of my eye. My previous few America's Best appointments were 12/08/21,12/28/19 and many before that.

I was 5 minutes late, because of stand still traffic and they cancelled my appointment. Would not see me! But doctors are late all of the time! Never walk in at your scheduled appointment.

This place is the most expensive of all the eye centers here in Louisville. Their customer service is useless. I purchased two pairs that cost me over $400 and the prescription was never correct.

I called on December 15th to try to understand why I booked online to buy two glasses and get an eye exam included. And I spoke with the attendant, I think Patricia, she didn't know how to answer me, she said that I did the exam for $99 and it didn't include the glasses. I asked again why if I scheduled something else and she said she wouldn't keep going back to it and hung up the phone on me and won't answer me anymore. I had asked for contact lenses because I saw on the website that I could choose and without my permission she canceled my order and did not answer me. It was in Parker

If it's your first you going to this place like mine was. Make it clear what you want. I arrived at the place said I had an appointment and I simply did what they asked. I've never had an eye exam before so I didn't know what it would be like. In the end they made the exam more expensive and charged me for glasses or lenses different from what I saw on the website

Popped in to America's Best (AB) on University Pkwy to see if they could repair glasses that I could not repair. The staff was courteous and helpful, my glasses were repaired and within minutes I was on my way. Another reason why I've been a purchasing eyeglasses from AB for years.

First the dr was good. I won't slam her. 2nd, i waited for them to call me that my glasses were in. They didn't call, i had to call them. Apparently there was something wrong in the shipping, good thing i called them. 3rd, i asked to make sure that my trifocal was "line free", i wanted progressive, like i have now. He said they were not written up that way. So my $35.00 charge just jumped to $194.00. BIG DIFFERENCE DON'T YA THINK? Maybe they need to take the time to train the customer service people before they send them out to help the customer or have someone with the know-how look over the request before it's finished. I had to go back in and get remeasured for progressive in lieu of the line trifocals. Let's see how long this will take now. Not a happy camper. :(
