“GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE”

I have been a customer for several years. Multiple glasses and lenses purchased due to changing eyes. The staff at America's Best in York, PA have been great to work with. When their supplier for a sun glass frame had difficulty with the lenses, they provided alternatives and worked with me. I experienced excellent service from the staff. Mike the manager was involved and was super to work with. Next time I need glasses I'll be back. I recommend the York, PA America's Best! - Doug D.

I ordered 2 sets of glasses online on 7/4/24, they showed estimated ship date of 7/14/24. It's now 7/19/24 and I can't even get a status update, after waiting over 30 minutes on hold I gave up and left a voicemail message. We'll see if I get any response from "customer care" or should I say "customer, we don't care".

I have used this place in the past with very little problems... But this last time it has been a nightmare! In Victor NY the woman Susan who helped me when I went in to get my glasses tried to tell me that I was not looking through them correctly and that was why it was blurry! REALLY? I have been wearing glasses most of my life and I am not young anymore! It was blurry and made me dizzy and she finally decided there was a defect in the right lens. So they said they would do it over. So next visit to get the glasses... yup, they messed up the left lens! No scrip in it at all, just plain glass! Yes I have very poor vision in that eye but I need something to make things clear! This time another lady helped me and wanted to know why I took them off so quickly and said...'how can you tell when you hardly had them on?" I told her it gave me an instant headache as it was totally blurry on the left side. So I made her check the second pair as I had gotten the 2 for one... and she agreed they were different but could not help me as she usually worked with contact lens instead. So... they want me to make a 3rd trip to get it right? I think they can do this over the phone this time. What a mess! Must be they don't have good help anymore! I am not happy at all.

Left my vision provider who I felt had outdated equipment and practice, who prescribed the incorrect prescription for me and tried America's Best. I went to the location in Flower Mound, Texas. I went in for the $69 special as I have just retired and only wanted single Lense glasses. The optometrist and pre-screener were exceptional, and I felt like I got a thorough exam. When I went to pick out my frames and explain I only wanted the special, there was no upsell! I walked out with a very thorough exam and two pairs of glass for $69, I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

America's Best of Mentor owes me six boxes of contacts from December of 2019. I left a negative review on their site four months ago, and received a response from the "owner" Nancy. I emailed all of my information, as instructed. It has been five days, and still no answer. This place is a joke and a ripoff. Why is it okay for them to steal from me? They used Covid as an excuse for the delay of my contacts, and then told me it had been so long that I'd have to pay for another exam in order to get them. It was THEIR fault I never received them! Meanwhile, I've paid out of pocket for a contact exam and contacts. I also ordered glasses, which aren't that great either. My insurance would have paid for a glasses exam. My out of pocket costs were very high, nowhere near the two for $69 offer they advertised. I will be leaving a complaint with the BBB next. What they did was thievery, plain and simple.

Extremely rude. I have a friend whose medical conditions won't let him wear a mask. They DEMANDED to know what his health condition is, which is a violation of HIPPA law and the Americans With Disabilities Act. When I explained that to them, they told me I was wrong. Uh, I don't write the laws but I DO know them, at least the laws pertaining to the disabled. Their corporate offices were as bad. If I couldn't wear a mask and they demanded to know why, I'd remind them of the law. If they still demanded to know why, I'd sue them until I owned them. Stay as far away from America's "Best" as you possibly can. Their idiotic management WILL destroy their business.

Hardly anyone leaves there without paying over $300. They don't give enough space to tell y'all the horrible experience I had. I went to the store in Kenner Louisiana on Veterans Blvd.

Got glasses, saw double! Went back and Dr adjusted the prescription and told me to pick a more narrow frame. 14 days later I called to ask status. They said the glasses were there and I had been called. NOT SO. So I went in and no glasses. They said manager would call me that day NOT SO. Next day I called and they said manager would call me that day NOT SO. Next day I called and they said manager would call me NOT SO. Wouldn't have minded them being so slow but their disrespect is autrocious.

Abigail is an absolutely WONDERFUL representitive. Took my daughter for her first exam and glasses Oct 2021 and Abigail was so extremely helpful. My daughter was really anxious about the experience and had a ton of questions and concerns. My daughter is 9, and Abigail was so patient and understanding. I was really appreciative of her service! My daughters glasses arrived earlier than expected and she was so very happy! Everything Abigail had informed her of anticipating was right on point and my daughter, my husband and I were so very pleased with her knowledge and customer service. EXCELLENT! I have been a customer of America's best for a long time and this is the best experience I've had EVER!

One of the worst customer service experience I have EVER received. Manager of the 35th in Quebec, Denver Colorado location should be fired! I will NEVER patronize Americas Best Eyeglass. You get what you pay for including low budget customer service!

AMERIC'AS "BEST" is a f****** SCAMMMMMMM! Go here if you want the cheapest frames on the market at 200% markup! The "2 pairs for $____ plus free exam" is a LIE. They charge you separately for the exam & for each machine used! They give you only 3 options of frames for the advertised price! Extra for thicker lenses & add-ons! They put you in a tiny office which is not the correct distance to measure actual vision. Every part of this process is designed to MILK YOU OF MONEY. What a scam. I am so dissatisfied and paid almost $600! Never going back.

Spent over $500+ $$ for glasses. They had the nerve to charge me for an eye exam. $50.00. Year ago I went for the two pairs for $69.00. NOT! $189.00. Stay away from this place!

Not rich so I found a good price and went to America Best contacts & glasses at. 9225 SW Hall Blvd, Tigard, OR *******
Big mistake, gave me the Free Eye Exam, good Dr. That were it stoped they then told me I would have to pay more to get glass that didn't look like coke glass, didn't have the extra money, can be that bad, it was?
The photo shows the best of two the other one I'll never use
Like a car lot see one deal untill you seat down, not fair or right!

They don't care about you they just want your money after I give them the money they said they would put my glasses in the mail after 3 weeks I found him sitting in the alley behind my house the box was opened and had been gone through tried to contact them but nobody answer the phone they said there's nothing they can do glasses would not fit and they could not adjust them why I don't know can I sit here with two brand new pair of glasses I can't wear thanks you stupid morons save your money and go elsewhere you'll get better service and products

I recently visited America's Best location in Snellville GA Store #5146 and received EXCELLENT customer service from Tawanna Fulton! She was very pleasant and helpful from the time I entered the store and went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. I hope her leadership reads this review and gives her the recognition she deserves! Thanks again Tawanna!

I called the store to explain my glasses were not correct. The person on the phone generally told me if it's been over 30 days there is nothing they will do.
Than I took them in and they found they were laid out wrong and offered to make them under my scratch warranty. Not do it cause they were in mistake but use my warranty.
I than called customer service and let them know the replacements were taking to long. They searched and found they were on a ups truck headed to store, ok great.
I get to store and identify my self and the ask me to try the new one one and see what I b think. STILL Wrong and I told the manager and he gave me all a bunch of excuses and told me that's all they can do for me. Than deflects there poor workmanship on me telling me that I should hold there card up to my face and so I did and could only than read the words with the card 3 inches from my face. I Than laid card on there counter and put old glasses on and read card laying on table. He proceeds to tell me most people hold item that close to there face to read it. Than accused me of baggering him when I said the new glasses are not correct. So tough crap $500 downstream drain for glasses I can not use.
In short if you want proper glasses made go somewhere else. The lack of quality and there ability to make there mistakes right are at a I don't care standard.
They have got the last of my money and word of mouth will be poor when asked about them.

My prescription happens to be out of warranty,
HOWEVER… there is a film on my glasses!
When a technician looked at the lenses she said "it looks like the film has come off the lenses and there is NOTHING that can be done since out of warranty!" I have had several pairs of glasses through other companies and have NEVER had this experience!
I followed up with corporate and they said there is NOTHING that can be done, period!
I will never use America's Best ever again and will be sure to pass the word on!
I'm assuming they use sub par material for their glasses!

On last Monday 6/13/22 I went to American Best on Sgn Lane. Everyone was all friendly over the phone even when I arrived to the store. However over the years things have changed drastically as for the time frame it takes to have a pair of eye glasses made. The manager over the glasses suggested I get the coat to help me see better for on coming head lights at night paying extra money for a year warranty. I haven't been able to report to my evening Job as a manager at a local fast food restaurant nor my morning job at The Bocage Racquet Club... I'm not use to sitting at home all day feeling helpless now seeking mental health to help with my depression. Being legally blind is not easy and with the name American Best, you'd think they'd have a lab shop inside the building. I've received excellent service at smaller eye doctors with in house lab technicians and my glasses were back in 2 to 3 days. Yes they told me 7 to 10 days but after having my nephew read the guidelines it also states they are supposed to give an exact date I still haven't got a date. They don't count weekends or holidays. I'm being unprofessional because I
Can't give neither one of my employees a accurate return date. I paid $286.00 cash
Told me my united health care insurance not showing up for Louisiana. They won't use my California insurance I just moved back home to Louisiana in March, Won't ever recommend these ppl to anyone in the future. I'll stick with the smaller companies!

Tip for consumers:
If you're employed please stay far away .... If you are retired are on vacation then it's up to you. But being out of work for 3 weeks waiting on glasses to come in . Should be a law against. It's cruel. And I allowed her to talk me into getting a second pair for back up. O I definitely will just not with American Best!!!

To bad cant give no stars. They are horrible. I took my family to purchase glasses including my mom. They pull my benefits but informed us that we only had a $120 allowance. Since my mom had no insurance and liked her glasses I paid about $440 for her pair. My wife and kids decided to go across the street to another company where they gave us a $300 allowance on frame selections. This is where this company sucks they would not release the lock on our insurance benefits and told me I had to wait 24 hrs. Making us unable to select glasses at the next store. Since my insurance allows us to get new glasses every 12 months, I knew this was not the norm. I've gone to Visionworks where they have pulled our insurance benefits and the same day went to Kent Eye wear and picked up a frame that suited us better. VisionWorks had no issues in release the insurance benefits. To make a long story short. After going back to the store no one would assist me after 15 min. I had to get upset and get loud in order to get attention. They threaten to call the cops on me cause they were unwilling to release my benefits. An off duty officer was also at the store that day intervene and got them to refund my mom's glass I paid for and proceed on releasing my benefits. STAY AWAY UNPROFESSIONAL PRACTICE!

Awesome people know there stuff and don't try to upsell stuff you don't need. Prices are good. $88 dollars cheaper that eye mart. Not done in an hour but you can save lots of money
