I have been a customer for several years. Multiple glasses and lenses purchased due to changing eyes. The staff at America's Best in York, PA have been great to work with. When their supplier for a sun glass frame had difficulty with the lenses, they provided alternatives and worked with me. I experienced excellent service from the staff. Mike the manager was involved and was super to work with. Next time I need glasses I'll be back. I recommend the York, PA America's Best! - Doug D.
I ordered 2 sets of glasses online on 7/4/24, they showed estimated ship date of 7/14/24. It's now 7/19/24 and I can't even get a status update, after waiting over 30 minutes on hold I gave up and left a voicemail message. We'll see if I get any response from "customer care" or should I say "customer, we don't care".
I went in to receive the free exam and two pair of glasses for $99.99. Yeah right. They tried to charge me $400!
Docs are decent staff is horrendous if ya don't watch your $60 glasses turn into $150 glasses. And there not worth that

Worst customer service. Book an appointment and told me my appointment was at a different location on the same day.

Terrible customer service to the point that Terri the manger just walked away from me without answering my question. She went into her office and close the door in my face. My eyeglasses broke and Terri told me that she couldn't help me. I asked her repeatedly if she could put me in contact with her area/district manager. She never answered my question, just closed her office door in my face while I was talking. After I paid over $600 dollars on my glasses! Please avoid American Best like a plague. This is the third time I had issues with the same glasses. Save yourself stress and go to Lens Crafters. I took my glasses to Lens Crafters, even though I didn't buy my glasses from them and they tried to repair them knowing that I didn't buy the glasses from them. The young lady at lens crafters suggested that I go to a booth in Greenbriar Mall, which I did. The young man at the Sun Shade booth in the middle of the mall repaired my glasses for $10! American Best Is The worse place you can buy eye glasses. Save yourself pain, money and regret. Try Lens Crafters

I would have written a really nice review because there are some who work at this store who really care about customer service. Those people deserve a shout out Travis and Holly were a pleasure to work with.
I saw two different optometrists, because it is a factory style experience as you must know. One optometrist the young woman was good. The guy named Mark Meyer was not good. I felt like he was dismissive to me, when I had some questions. And seemed like he was put out that I even had any questions. It as clear to me that he wanted me out as soon as possible. I rarely write reviews, I was so upset after my visit today, that I realized I would not go back again, unless they find a new optometrist. Or have him go through some professional development. He seems like he hates his job and is very unfriendly. I wanted to spend a bit more time asking him a few more questions, but he did not want to do that so I left. IF you do go to America's best in Lynnwood, please see Travis for your eyeglass fitting. He is friendly and caring and seems happy to serve his customers. I really appreciated him, And Holly also was very friendly and kind. She was the person who checked me on the eye chart before I went into see the optometrist.
If Dr Meyer's was not there, it would have been better. He made my entire visit uncomfortable. And I do not enjoy writing unpleasant reviews. That is how bad it was seeing him. It was the second time I did, and I wished I had asked for the young woman optometrist again. Oh well, as long as you can avoid seeing that one doctor, they did a great job on my glasses for a fair price. The contacts were the thing I was trying to figure out, but that doctor prevented me from learning more information that I hoped to ask today.

They are very very unprofessional and the managers do not know their job at all. Both of the 2 fat ones need to be fired ASAP!

All four of us (Myself, wife, and two daughters) came into America's Best in Rancho Cucamonga on mid-June 2020 to get our eye exam and new glasses. I paid almost $800 out of pocket for the glasses and received our glasses by June 30th. I noticed that the right side lens on my glasses was moving and my daughter's glasses did not fit right so we went back on July 2nd and my daughters' glasses were replaced and received it back in the second week of July. My glasses required to reorder the lens due to it was cut incorrectly and was told I should have it back within 14 business days. I called to check and spoke with a manager (Erika) on July 24th and she apologized and stated it got lost in the shipping and reorder it again and will have it expedite and I should have it by the following week. I just called again and spoke with another manager (Debbie) and stated it would take another 14 business days due to the shipping issue. I told her that it's not acceptable because I was promised that I will have it this week. Her response was: "There's nothing we can do about it but to wait." I asked her, what happens if by next week it's still not in, then what? Her response: "Well, we can issue you a refund." After all the wait and inconvenience, she expects me to just get a refund? I would have expected something like, let me contact wherever the place is sending my lens and have them overnight it for you. I don't think they've trained their manager's how to provide real customer service. This is unacceptable especially if you're working with the public.
I had some trouble getting my prescription correct but all the employees were so nice and helpful every time I went in it made it OK. I will go back.

I walked in and the young lady at the front desk asked to help me. I clearly stated I was there to pick up a prescription. I didn't stutter, I didn't whisper, I don't even have an accent. She asked if for glasses or contacts. I replied, contacts. She then took my name... searched the PC and asked me if i'd received a call stating my prescription was ready. To which I replied, yes. She then walks to the back to find it. Well, almost 20 minutes later, I ask another front desk employee how long it takes to find a prescription. This woman hollers to the back that I'm there waiting for my prescription. Next thing you know, the young lady along with another employee come to the front desk. The young lady says she can't find my CONTACT LENSES. I restated I was there to pick up a prescription. The 2nd employee looks at me and asks if i'm there to pick up a paper prescription. DUH! I just about lost it, but managed to keep my cool, barely. Very clearly i enunciated PRESCRIPTION! The young lady says oh, and looks at a stack of paper that had been sitting on her desk the whole time, and there was my prescription. Seems that they don't know what a prescription is. I should've asked for it in Spanish. RECETA pune... RECETA!

I went there to get my eyes checked and went an hour away from home for them to say their machine was down.
I went to America's Best the first week of April for an eye exam and progressive lenses. I waited quite a long time for my appointment which was scheduled for 4:20 PM. At 5:30, one of the girls told me that the doctor ha left for the day so my appointment needed to be re-scheduled. They offered me a free eye exam for the aggravation. Well, I was purchasing two pairs of glasses that came with a free eye exam...so what were they giving me...nothing. So I spoke up and received a $250.00 credit. I took it. I finally had my exam a week and a half later with an online doctor. My glasses came in two weeks later and I could not see out of my left eye. I went back for an adjustment hoping that would solve the problem. Nope, still was not able to see out of my left eye clearly. They scheduled me for another eye exam which was another 7-9 days later. I sat down with a doctor that only spoke broken English and I felt as if I was one of the first people he had given an eye exam to. He was clearly not confident in his skills. He had to keep checking the computer.this was not a flawless exam. Received my new lenses two weeks later, and AGAIN, I still could not see clearly from my left eye. I went back four more times for an adjustment. Then I went to another optical center and had another eye exam and the prescription is slightly different than the one from America's best. I was told that the difference could certainly be the cause of not seeing clearly out of my left eye. I went back to America's Best, with the new prescription and now, the optician is thinking I do not know how to see with progressive lenses though I have been wearing progressives for 2 years. Then they asked if I had a resent physical.did I have blood work done, do I have diabetes, etc. They are now making new lenses for both pairs of glasses. Can't wait for what I see or not see this time. They should really pay me time and mileage...WTH.

I hope that many people see this review and even the management, in the kendall store I had many bad experiences, one of them is that apparently they have forgotten that kendall is in the state of florida where the use of masks is not mandatory ( if you don't wear it they don't attend you) on the other hand and even more importantly I had my glasses for more than a month so they could fix them since they supposedly had a guarantee and after leaving them nobody called me to tell me that they didn't have a guarantee, even after After 3 weeks my wife went to ask and they told her that they were not ready yet, after 4 weeks I went and after searching it turns out that all this time they were in a drawer because they supposedly had no guarantee (I had paid more than $700 for them) of course it bothered me and they fixed it right there in just 5 minutes, I never intend to go back to that place, although the girl who fixed it did nothing other than what they have stipulated there, I blame the company's policy company
So we had an appointment today and the treatment my daughter and I received was downright appalling! The way we were treated my Diane/Diana the manager was down right disrespectful and shocking. I have lived in Arizona for 44 years and I am a citizen of the United States and never in my entire life have I felt so ashamed of a person or their treatment. Not only did she talk to us in a manner that was so disrespectful but she laughed and said " ok you guys have a beautiful day" when we decided to go elsewhere for glasses. She stood there laughed and as my daughter walked back in to get the number to corporate she was already taking about us. We were the only Hispanics in the entire store and the difference on how she spoke to everyone else as to her demeanor with us was absolutely disrespectful and disgusting! I have never felt racial profiling and discrimination until today and I still can't believe this happened! I have worked in customer service for over 20 yrs and I have NEVER treated anyone this way because of their race or color of their skin or their circumstance. You are a horrible woman who has hatred in your heart and you deserve to be fired for the treatment you have me! I was not looking for a hand me down a coupon or discount! I was paying 100% out of pocket, but you are a disgusting excuse for a human being, and be sure that I will be contacting the better business bureau and your direct supervisor to make sure no one else ever receives treatment like this again. You Are an awful person and I hope someday you get a taste of your own medicine. You're in the wrong line of work! Get out before you poison others with that nasty attitude. Never will I walk into that store again. I am livid at the treatment we received. LIVID!
