I have been a customer for several years. Multiple glasses and lenses purchased due to changing eyes. The staff at America's Best in York, PA have been great to work with. When their supplier for a sun glass frame had difficulty with the lenses, they provided alternatives and worked with me. I experienced excellent service from the staff. Mike the manager was involved and was super to work with. Next time I need glasses I'll be back. I recommend the York, PA America's Best! - Doug D.
I ordered 2 sets of glasses online on 7/4/24, they showed estimated ship date of 7/14/24. It's now 7/19/24 and I can't even get a status update, after waiting over 30 minutes on hold I gave up and left a voicemail message. We'll see if I get any response from "customer care" or should I say "customer, we don't care".
My husband and I pay cash for our glasses so we have to save to get them. We both got the 2/ deal here and they were good until we decided to take back to get anti reflective coating. Which is another 88$ for 2 so another expense. First 2 pairs came back very spiderweb like and we just thought that was coating then second 2 pairs were pretty clear. We were moving to Arkansas so I messaged the company 3 times explain how we can only wear 1 pair and we would like our other 2 fixed and we have not got any response at all just a robot message. We paid almost 1,000$ for all this junk and can only wear 1 pair and can't even get a professional response. Never again.

I have purchased glasses and had 3 eye exams at America's Best in West Plano, TX over the past 4 years. The staff has always been very helpful, and I have been very satisfied with the glasses I have purchased. Today, 2/21/22, I had an eye exam with Tram Nguyen, O. D. She took the time to listen to me and fully understand my needs and concerns. I worked with Heather to help me pick out 2 new pairs of glasses. Heather was amazing and very helpful. I look forward to all of my future interactions with her. Keep up the great work, Heather! Thank you America's Best for having outstanding staff members like Heather and Dr. Nguyen.

What I was expecting sounds good The I exam what is free with the glasses but over 300 and some dollars later For one pair and by the way is 79.95 a pair That are uncoated Single vision I should have looked more in to it but when Advertise that's all they show 2 pair for 79.95
They advertise two pair single lens glasses for $79.95 and when I called, they quoted me $99.95 for no line bifocals. After my exam and choosing cheapest frames, I was then told my two pair of no line (progressive) lens glasses were going to cost over $400, with no additional add ons! I informed the tech that I was quoted $99.95, she said that was the receptionist that I must have spoken to, should have spoken with a tech. I paid for the exam ($59.) and bought my glasses at Walmart Optical who honored my prescription. I can tell you that my new glasses did not cost anywhere near $400!

If I could leave no stars, I would. I have been going to America's best for over 10 years. Unfortunately, there customer service is in the toilet. I will never go their again or take my family. For one, the prices are NOT competitive. Second, staff IS unprofessional and disrespectful. I was given the wrong fax number when I told them I was ordering contact from 1800Contacts. Then, when 1800Contacts rep attempted to verify the fax number with America's best (Deptford) The staff kept hanging up on them. When I called to confirm the staff was extremely rude and disrespectful. They hung up on the 1800 contacts rep on purpose. It took me 45 minutes and three people to confirm the right fax number. They make it difficult for you to order elsewhere.

They never call me to tell me the glasses were ready, after 2 weeks I go pick them up one of the glasses was broken they promise to have the glasses in a week. Iv'e been there 3 times call 2 times and its been almost 2 months and I still don't have my glasses... St Cloud Florida store *******

Was in store 3 min before being asked if I had a face covering. When I told them no. Per my Dr. The attendant then proceeded to violate HIPA laws and ask me what my medical condition was that I couldn't wear a mask. I do not recommend this place.
I made a special 20 mile trip to town to have my glasses tightened. Despite two employees in the store, no one could assist me as there was no optomitrist on site, optomitrist works part-time. Nothing on website clearly indicating no optomitrist fulltime. I called complaint line and all I got was "sorry." I paid for service in the price of my glasses; cheap glasses, cheaper service.

A little effort posting information conspicuously on your website regarding limited optomitrist hours would have kept me a satisfied customer. We all make errors and how they are fixed is what counts. So far,America's Best is coming up empty.

The associates at the Wildwood Centre location in Homewood, AL love what they do! From trying to set the soonest available appointment over the phone to the greetings we received as soon as we opened the door; this place oozed with quality customer service. I felt completely comfortable during our visit because all the associates were following the required COVID protocols. We were immediately checked in and didn't have to wait to be seen. The variety of frames available for my 13yr old to select from made this a very stress less process. This was our first time at America's Best and I was highly impressed. The associates were pleasant and explained each step of the process and treated us like family. We will definitely be back!

They lure you in with a great deal and a smile, and you leave cheerfully thinking how wonderful these people are; not knowing you were just "conned". Two weeks later you happily stroll back into the store with your eyes sparkling in eager anticipation of your new fly glasses. You try them on, and you say "perfect! You guys are awesome, where's my other pair?" He says, "wha choo talkin bout Willis? "didn't you read the fine print?" In that instant my heart drops and my blood boils realizing "You have just been PUNKED"
I went in for reading glasses, they twisted my arm to go for progressive lenses, that's the catch! The 2 for $69 deal is only for regular lenses NOT progressive and they don't tell you; READ THE FINE PRINT! Unfortunately I do not recommend and will not be going back.
The staff at AB in Palm Coast Fla has no clue what they are doing. They have continued to mess up my trial order of contacts. Did not call me when they came in several times. They lost a pair and had to reorder. Did not order them twice. I wish I had never gotten involved with AMERICAS WORST eye glass place!
First time patient today, totally impressed. Optometrist took amazing great care of me, addressed my keratoconus, gave me a referral to a specialist and took the time to talk to my about my dads upcoming cataract procedure and he's not even a patient of theirs. Connie took great care of me while picking out frames and getting them ordered. Columbus, IN you guys are wonderful. I will make the hour drive again for my kiddos when it's time for them to get their next exams.

The dr very thorough, explaining everything. Staff super nice. I've been to three places to get glasses. This doctor listen to me and then the test I have two pair of perfect glasses. I can see! Merrit blvd is the one I went too.
When I went to pick up my glasses from America's Best the customer service person handed me my glasses and walked away. Noone asked if they fit properly or if I could see. I got home put them on and could not read the computer or a book. I went back they replaced them and guess what I still can't use them. I took the pair and left and went to another Doctor who said the script was incorrect. I purchased glasses with that facility and I leave the ones from America's Best in the car as they are as good as the dollar store glasses. And today after 6 months they broke. America's best should be America's worse. I wouldn't advise anyone to go there.
I purchased a pair of Nike glasses and eye exam and spent $600. I know for a fact I paid for the insurance and warranty. I scratched him up about a month later took them back and they told me I didn't buy the warranty or insurance so there's nothing they could do to help me I only had two glasses for one month. So they basically told me but they are ripping me off and there's nothing I could do about it because I didn't check my receipt before I left

Ordered glasses online. 6 weeks later no glasses. Called they said we will refund and reorder. Finally got my glasses 2 weeks later. Still no refund. Stated they will give me 50% discount never got that either. Totally unacceptable. Get your $#*! together.

Dr Stuart Little has helped my husband who got piece of metal in eye was able to remove metal. Dr Little also helped me when I got cleaner or something in eye was able to help eye even though I did not have appt. They are great company with warranty on glasses Catherine was able to put lenses into new frame to sort out the pair I broke.
They really care and have great customer service.
I recommend this store and staff is great. Dr. Stuart Little and Catherine are awesome and great at what they do.
I would like to begin with when I arrived at my appointment, they had the wrong email and the wrong phone number on my paper. I am still waiting to be called back to tell me my glasses are ready. I finally called them and they told me they tried to call. (funny I live alone. You think i would have known about the phone call attempt) drove 120 round trip to get visit this store. After paying $230 for my $59.95 glasses I have them less than 2 week and a screw falls out. Now I realize this is common. But my question is why not check/tighten the screw while you are fitting the glasses to my face? Now I was told take my glasses to any optical shop and as a courtesy they will fix them. REALLY? I did not give ANY SHOP USA my $230! I wont drive over ice to get them fixed so I guess you know what I am. It begins with an F. And rhymes with fire trucked.
I am leaving this review due to the courteousness and friendly service I received through consultant Tierra. She went above and beyond to service my needs. We need more individuals in this world such as herself

The eye doctor is great. The people that help with frames to are friendly. The two that work the front desk for check in need to learn how to properly greet people in a manner that is professional. Both times instead of welcome to America's Best how may I help you. It's what do you need. These two are very unprofessional. One yelled my private insurance information across the store to another employee. Would not recommend the Hixson location to anyone.
I went in December for an eye exam before going I had progressive lenses. Told no don't need. Had my eyes redone by someone else and guess what need progressive lenses. My frames are too small for those type lenses. One lense cracked because it was forced into the frames I had chosen, that they approved by the way. I went to them in April and told them was having problems seeing and a lense cracked. They told me need have re examined and it be at my cost. They never looked at my lenses to see what going on. Both lenses are 2 different prescription's. I went somewhere else and they were great. I deserve a refund seeing I paid out of pocket. I have 2 pair of frames I can't use because they aren't big enough for lenses I need. Their customer service is horrible. Please none go there. I'm only giving one rating cease it won't let me post without something. That don't deserve that. They are in Charlottesville, Va on rio hill rd
I will never go there again too 2 hours to get exam and everything then to get wrong prescription. Set up new exam and got there and wanted to change it and super rude and then asked for refund and after 15 min they said they only refund the 19.95 and I still have to pay the $50 for the wrong exam/doctor prescription. And told me it was a service and they can't refund it. So left called there corporate customer service and talked to them and I am still waiting for a call back that I feel will never get

I didn't get good help picking out my glasses. The person helping me kept pushing really small glasses -which I ended up with and don't like. No one ever called to let me know my glasses were in and when I finally picked them up they were in such a hurry to give me my glasses no one bothered to make sure the fit right. They fit really poorly and then the pandemic hit so I couldn't get in to have them checked. Now it is too late and they won't do anything about it. I paid over $300 for glasses I have never been able to wear.
