“GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE”

I have been a customer for several years. Multiple glasses and lenses purchased due to changing eyes. The staff at America's Best in York, PA have been great to work with. When their supplier for a sun glass frame had difficulty with the lenses, they provided alternatives and worked with me. I experienced excellent service from the staff. Mike the manager was involved and was super to work with. Next time I need glasses I'll be back. I recommend the York, PA America's Best! - Doug D.

I ordered 2 sets of glasses online on 7/4/24, they showed estimated ship date of 7/14/24. It's now 7/19/24 and I can't even get a status update, after waiting over 30 minutes on hold I gave up and left a voicemail message. We'll see if I get any response from "customer care" or should I say "customer, we don't care".

My appointment was scheduled for 11 o'clock it is now 12:40 and still waiting to see doctor with someone ahead of me! When asked if running behind why don't they contact their clients and let them leave for appointment later or a chance to reschedule. I got the dumbness look and said don't do that. I was offered to reschedule but after waiting so long I'm staying. Because she said I'd most likely have a long wait then again. I will not come back as my time is just as valuable as theirs. Very poor policy on scheduling

Tip for consumers:
That waiting time would be so long 15 min shy of 2 hours. But doctor just went into person ahead of me. I’m sure that’ll be another 30 minutes. Very displeased

This is by far the worst experience. Eye exam was great until you pick up your glasses/contacts. Wrong prescription for 2 of us and then didn't even bother to place the order a second time. They led us to believe that it would be 2 weeks. When we called for our order they dismissed us like trash not taking responsibility for their mistakes and then was hung up on multiple times bt the front desk lady. No apologies and I had spent over $600. What a joke. You lost a whole family for life.

Although I could not take advantage of the 69.95 deal as I have progressive glasses the staff worked with me took time and listened to my concerns afterward when I struggled with my new prescription. I had no issues with the service and the end result was a faster than expected return on my order (told 2 weeks) 10 days they were in, Alejandro did a great job for his first day on his own, Dr Ferguson great sense of humor and very attentive.! 00% recommend,

I booked my appointment two months in advance. Walked in for it and yet was told that they called yo cancel. I have no calls from them at all. Even if they did try calling why would they not leave a message cancelling the appointment. Just lying to try to cover their asses. Never again.

Not one friendly person on that place. Dr. Tucci was not very personable, horrible bedside manner, Not friendly at all and made me feel rushed. Amanda was equally rude, nasty and unfriendly. I literally had to ask her what her name was. Kristin was cold and clipped with me. Never again will I come here: 2810 Sheridan Drive. In today's climate, businesses might want to be more careful and mindful on how they treat people…..

Hello,
It took 2 weeks to get an appointment. It's at 9:40.
I show up 10 minutes early. I checked with all the paper work filled out online.
I waited 45 minutes and saw 2 other customers get waited who came after me.
So I asked at the front desk why? I was told they work on doctors time frame, when ask why not
Inform customers of the wait. They told me to have a good day. So if I could I rate this a zero i would.

I woke up to put my glass on. A lens fell out for no reason. I look closer and see they don't use screws but cheap look alikes that are just the flat head looking part of the screw. I could understand if they were dropped or something. But to just fall apart is Not Right!

Only for emergencies! Not good Quility..

I can get past the bait & switch and even the incompetence of the staff / up sell attempts.

What can't get past is a doctor who was told I needed glasses for the computer which is 16-18 inches from my eyes. When I got the glasses they work for a book or newspaper but not for the computer.

I should have gone to Eye Glass World as numerous friends told me. I went because the last experience with America's Best (North Port Florida) was satisfactory several years ago.

Very poor experience this time with two pair of glasses that do not work for the computer.

I am still waiting for my second pair of glasses. I paid extra to have contacts in 2 days now it's been 7 days still no contacts. I called and they cannot tell me when I will receive them. The script for contacts was for a brand you can only get through them so I must go to another doctor for another exam so I can order contacts from another company. The customer service doesn't answer phones on the weekends. Do not use America's Best. Giving 1 star is to much.

I went in because an eye exam I thought would be $99. Them I find out that for $30 cheaper I can het the eye exam plus 2 pairs of glasses. They ask if you want to add $350 for anti scratch and if protection and darkening lenses. I said no thank you and walked out paying $69 tax included. Culpeper VA also has a great obstetrician.

There is a reason they give you two pair for good price, you get what you pay for and by the end of the first year...your gonna need that second pair. Call me stupid, but I've been going there for several yrs. Same thing every time...don't do it, go to walmart

The Locations in Oregon is still requiring everyone to ware a mask for and eye exam, even after the mandates has been lifted. Pushing to be more political to support the democrats woke nation to destroy this country, is something America does not need. There is no "real" scientific proof mask block any virus.

We were waited on by Mr. Clay Mitchell. He was extremely courteous, very knowledgeable, and very, very helpful in helping me pick out glasses that would look the best on me. My wife and I really appreciated his kindness and expertise. We will certainly go back there when in need of another pair of glasses.

My father was a long time customer of theirs. He bought a pair of glasses a year ago. Since then, the nose piece fell off twice and now the arm fell off. He is not hard on his glasses. They refuse to fix or replace. Will never go back to them. I receive much better service at Walmart and Target.

We got my son's glasses like a month ago, then the nose pads got broke and the lens coming off the frame. So, we went to the America's Best Clinton, MD, and the two female front desk are not friendly and not happy of having us there. We are asking for replacement they want us to replace out of pocket again for $180, but she said there's no other options to offer just pay the whole thing. No offer to the customer and they are just pushing you away. I am not supposed to give stars but no options. Not recommendable.

Staffs need more training and not the friendly.

I contacted customer service over a month ago regarding a problem with my glasses. They sent me the wrong color. I have yet to hear back from them. I also had requested trials of contacts since they decided to change my brand, but have been waiting over a month for those as well despite being told it would only take a week. You have to lie and say you don't have insurance in order to be able to get the discounted prices of the glasses. I ended up paying $300 out of pocket for my glasses and they're not even designer glasses. If this would have been disclosed, I would have instead gone to another eye doctor and saved myself some money. The quality of the glasses is horrible they're very cheaply made.

Tip for consumers:
do not go here at all - especially if you plan on using insurance.

The 69.99 deal will never happen
Two pairs will cost you over 300.00
And getting your glasses will usually take 3 weeks. Just hope the prescription is right. Doctor rushes people through eye exam. Think he may get paid by the amount of people he sees.

Simple... they violate your constitutional rights and your God given rights.
I don't believe you should have to wear a mask against your will if you're not sick.
According to the CDC the mask mandates are dropped.
Any kind of a doctor should know that the masks don't do a damn thing.
I'm not paying for an exam by a Nazi doctor.
Cancel my appointment!

I was able to walk in and get set up for an exam for the same day. The Dr was really great and help in understanding my vision issue and was amazing at helping with the situation. Then to pick out the frames and getting everything figured out... I got helped out by Dino at the St Petersburg FL location. He went above and beyond to help me figure out what frames and options that worked best for my needs! Truly A+ service. Heather also helped out and again, everyone I encountered there today was top notch! Thank you so much Dino for all your personal assistance! It was greatly appreciated!

Beware when ordering online. Site states that lenses are in stock, will process in 1-2 days, and even with expedited shipping they are still not received 2 weeks later. Calling customer service is impossible. I waited for 25 minutes with no response; emails and messages were unanswered. The local store where I am a patient could not help since I ordered online. I ordered from another site, received the contacts in 2 days at a fraction of the cost.

The original pair of glasses was poorly focused. The second pair had a coating that quickly looked as if it has snail tracks. The frames rusted within weeks. In case this company wants to send an attorney to harass
Me, I have locked their junk in my safe. By the way, I attempted to return the pair of 'glasses' for a refund. I
Got the "run-around". The price was very low. I moved on and happily paid over $700 for excellence.

I went to the Sherman Oaks location, with my prescription in hand. Brought my own frames in. Paid over $300 only to wait two weeks for them to come in. Both pairs had me seeing double. I tried for a week and went back. They remade them only to have the same issue. Again tried them for a week... still the same thing. They ended up remaking them three times. And finally told me I was wearing them wrong!?! What?!? I asked for my money back they declined. I searched the Internet and found a Customer service email for the president. Got a call back two days later with a full refund. Went to Walmart and 7 days later both pairs are perfect! And half the price!

Use walmart vision center. Cheaper and better quality

Went in for my first eye exam as an adult and was really impressed by how fast and organized the store operations were. This was less than a month before school starts, the wait was short with an appointment and I got in and out within an hour even with extra tests. I was given full explanations and everyone was super friendly! Really surprised me as I took my daughter in to a regular eye doctor and they were less friendly and very slow.

The price was very low and the glasses selection was really good, even for the bargain options. I'm very excited to get my glasses and will definitely go back to America's best! Thanks for being a charitable company and keeping your prices reasonable for everyone!

I'm totally dissatisfied with America's Best services. They give you your glasses without taking the time to ensure that your glasses fit and that you do not have any issues with seeing out of them. When you tell them you are having problems with the prescription, there is nothing done about it. I have had three unsuccessful attempts to get my issues corrected. You are basically stuck with what you have and will need to pay more money(out of pocket now) to get another eye exam some where else to correct your prescription.

I bought a $350 pair of DKNY glasses and they didn't even come with a case. The salesperson says "yea, people complain about that all the time". Well, maybe start giving people cases or tell them up front. Sales people care more about chatting than helping. I never even got a call when my glasses were ready. I had to call and ask.
