“GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE”

I have been a customer for several years. Multiple glasses and lenses purchased due to changing eyes. The staff at America's Best in York, PA have been great to work with. When their supplier for a sun glass frame had difficulty with the lenses, they provided alternatives and worked with me. I experienced excellent service from the staff. Mike the manager was involved and was super to work with. Next time I need glasses I'll be back. I recommend the York, PA America's Best! - Doug D.

I ordered 2 sets of glasses online on 7/4/24, they showed estimated ship date of 7/14/24. It's now 7/19/24 and I can't even get a status update, after waiting over 30 minutes on hold I gave up and left a voicemail message. We'll see if I get any response from "customer care" or should I say "customer, we don't care".

We've used the same office for years. This last time we went in they had no record of my last 2 visits. I explained to them i wanted a pair of glasses that matched the pair i brought with me. 2 Different people agreed and said ok. I payed over $350 for that pair. My wife got 3 pairs. We go back to pick up and the pair they gave me were the new prescription. When i said i was guaranteed that i would receive a new pair based off my current glasses they said that was impossible, I could only get a pair based on the new one. There's a lose of $350. Then 2 of the 3 pairs for my wife were incorrect and had to be sent back. To top this all off, about 2 weeks after paying on our credit card, which we never used anywhere else before, Somehow we started getting fraud charges on that card. Stay away, they are no longer worth the deal they say they provide.

Purchased transitional lenses, were not cheap. Within a month, they were so scratched and hazy that I could no longer see out of them, returned them, they decreased the tint of the darkness to a lighter shade, told me that was the problem, but within 3 months, same thing happened. I have worn classes for 50+ years and this is the first time ever that lenses scratched this way, they would do nothing for the second pair, I went to another place

If you want a 2 minute eye exam this is the place for you. Then you will also have to define why you need the glasses, for reading, computer or distance. Silly me I believed an eye facility would be able to tell me, not the other way around. The you get your glasses and they are not right and break the first time you try them on. Worse decision I ever made to give business to them. STAY AWAY

In February of this year I purchased two pairs of glasses and had an eye exam at America's Best in Flagstaff.Last week the sunglasses broke. I was initially told that my coverage only included the second pair. After looking into it,the manager at the store in Flagstaff approved fixing my broken glasses. I would definitely do business with this store again!

There is a smudge in my line of sight that will not come off of the lenses. I cant and they couldnt get it to come off and scratches everywhere. No reasoning on why this happened or what it is. I have scratch protection on my lenses, or thought I did. I have been wearing glasses for over 40 years and have never had this issue. They have now charged me $225 to replace them. Would love to know if anyone else had this problem. It stinks

Went in for a free eye exam ($50.00) with the purchase of 2 frames. 1 for $69 and the second for $45. Didn't have.the second one I wanted in stock, so I agreed on just the one. After pricing the frame and transitional lenses, the cost was $311.00. WHAT? Not the $114 that I had budgeted. I ended up paying the $50.00, and leaving without purchasing any glasses. Mad and sad at the total misleading ads seen on TV!

I waited 3 weeks for 2 pairs of my glasses to come just to receive both bent to hell. The packaging was HORRIBLE. They basically threw both my glasses in a plastic bag and then threw them in a box and sent them. I'm so pissed off. Never buying from them again.

I was not made aware that i had only after 30 days from purchase, not pickup to report a manufacturing of lens problem. After 2 ½ months one lens has a crack and the other a crack and chip all radiating from the frame. Since I did not purchase a warranty for something like $100 I'm SOL. I spent over $300 and now I have to start all over. Please go somewhere else. As a vet it sickens me the call themselves "America's Best"

Like to express how thankful and/or grateful I am to Melanie for her assuredly amiable proficiency. Her understanding of my request within the time limit that was needed is what stands her apart from other representative/assistants. Melanie took the time to explain no matter how busy she was. I really appreciate all of Melanie hard work and her willingness to take that extra step, her prompt response was incredible. Brought my prescription in to have two pair of glasses made for $79. After receiving them last year I wore one pair and put the other pair away in my drawer. Took them out the other day and one of the lenses fall out. I took them back and they stated the screw has broke and they can't fix them. They will however sell me a new frame for $69. Now they peddle their eye exam for $59 and didn't have to perform it but still charged $79 for the two pair of glasses. In any event, they don't stand behind their product and their customers are just walking dollar signs to them. (At least at my location in Amherst, NY

I purchased 2 glasses and 2 boxes of contacts for each eye different prescription.
I also purchased insurance.
After several months of headache I tried the contacts and I realized I saw blurry from left eye.
Called and the said it was too late only 30 days to exchange mind you with insurance and product i spent approx $580 and it was a waste of money.
Insurance doesn't cover anything other than damage but goes not help for wrong prescription.

Wasted $100.00 on 2 pair of glasses i cant use perception wrong and bifocal's line too big for the glasses measured me wrong cant see called them and i got oh well had to go to walmart and start over and wasted 100.00

America's Best seems to believe they are more knowledgeable than my doctor and all the hospitals I've entered this past year. I think they are just control freaks because they forced me to remove my bandana and wear one of their masks. I have severe asthma and can't breathe with a regular mask. I even told the manager I had proof of my vaccine; she didn't care. She doesn't even allow shields. She said the CDC requires masks, which is not true; a face-covering is adequate. I said the CDC also said if you're vaccinated, you don't have to wear a mask at all!

Tip for consumers:
Make sure you wear your mask and not a bandana or face shield or you won't get service here.

I bought glasses, was promised a quoted price. I paid, my insurance paid. They then decided 6 months later that - they wanted 35% more, 95$ more dollars for glasses. They are liars, bait and switch, and the quality of the lenses were garbage. I will never do business with them ever again.

We have been using this establishment for our glasses for a while now. The staff at the Harrisburg Pa location are the nicest people. They interact with their patients, and make you feel so at home. They are always willing to answer any questions or concerns you may have without making you feel uncomfortable. Thank you for your extreme patience.

My son and I have been there a few times. Notice quality of service was lacking, but I tried again. Coating came off my lens for the transitions and glare protection, returned the lenses twice takes 10 plus days to get them back and 4 months later here we are again, can't see out of my glasses. Since I am past my year mark, technically not because they had to redo my lenses in Jan, so they are only about 4 months out. But because my prescription expired they will not warranty, I told them I would pay to have my eyes examined again, but they should pay for the faulty factory work. Well per Brenda the district manager they don't, so no more doing business with them. It is a shame they cannot own up to there own work and having the same problem for a third time means you never fixed the problem the first time. So what we have here is a failure to own up to contracting other work out and to bait and switch you if they can. Lost my business along with my sons.

I was very disappointed with the deceptive, double talking, fine print, BS sales job I got from Americas Best. Went in for 2 pair of glasses for $69 and free eye exam. WRONG. I ended up paying almost $300 for one pair! They also charge for their "free" exam if you don't follow their dangling carrot sales tactics. This business is a huge gimmick.
I will NEVER use them again. Also, they manipulated internet search engines. I specifically searched for Walmart Eyecare and Americas Best is was what kept coming up. Naturally, I assumed they were in Walmart. NOT! Very conniving. BUYER BEWARE!

I went to the eye dr cause I am a new diabetic & they never told me that I have Diabetic retinopathy, found out from my endo who got the full report. I was only told had a little bruising on the back of my eye. I can lose my vision cause did not know.

It's like buying a car. You're told you will get these quality glasses and insurance will pay for most of the cost. Glasses are poor quality needing constant adjustment. Lenses are poor quality that scratch easy. Then you get the bill later that insurance didn't cover the cost so you are on the hook. Do your research and avoid Americas Best.

Excellent Service from the Crossland's Branch in Kissimmee. Maria (Store manager) and Hector did a great job, and I know the store is very busy. This was all done by email, WhatsApp and a few phones calls, they had my prescription and they sourced frames that had been discontinued. The prices are good compared to what I pay in Abu Dhabi. Excellent all round and good service, good value for money. The shipment was picked up yesterday and I will have them in a week.

I have been going there for years, I went last week to get 2 pairs for my son, the tag on the glasses said 79.95 but I got charged 127 for the 2 pairs so they told me the tag is not if it goes by the color of the tag. Really? She overcharged me and didn't want to admit it or give me the extra money back. Never going there again they just lost 5 customer my whole family wears glasses.

First, I would like to say the employees who have helped me have been very nice and helpful but, the products they offer at America's Best are garbage. I also need to mention that the events I am describing below occurred within a 4-month period. I purchased two glasses, one of which was sunglasses. I selected the "Nike Adrenaline" frames. These frames kept breaking in the exact same place without any type of impact. After the third set of broken frames, they told me the frames had been discontinued. I was then told that if I wanted to get my glasses replaced, I would need to pay for new frames and lenses because the lenses from the Nike frames would obviously not fit a different set of frames. I have owned several glasses in my life and the only time I have ever broken a set of frames was once when I was skiing. My recommendation for anyone looking to purchase new glasses would be to stay away from America's Best.

They call you and text you several time to make sure you are going to show up for your appointment. Then they make you come 15 min prior or they won't see you, but the doctor takes about an hour to actually see you and he doesn't not like to talk much and takes about 5 minutes to se you. Customer service is rude.

This is the for me to hate my glasses it's too late to return them but the lenses are crap. I'm constantly rinsing them the lenses are not clear cannot stay clean like a dust/dirt magnet ughhh so horrible them frames are ok but the lenses suck they must be refurbished I will never buy again!
