“GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE”

I have been a customer for several years. Multiple glasses and lenses purchased due to changing eyes. The staff at America's Best in York, PA have been great to work with. When their supplier for a sun glass frame had difficulty with the lenses, they provided alternatives and worked with me. I experienced excellent service from the staff. Mike the manager was involved and was super to work with. Next time I need glasses I'll be back. I recommend the York, PA America's Best! - Doug D.

I ordered 2 sets of glasses online on 7/4/24, they showed estimated ship date of 7/14/24. It's now 7/19/24 and I can't even get a status update, after waiting over 30 minutes on hold I gave up and left a voicemail message. We'll see if I get any response from "customer care" or should I say "customer, we don't care".

I went into the American Best on 2626 North Belt Line Rd in Irving, Tx to get my glasses adjusted on 04/16/22@ 11:20 am. The worker was very rude when I asked if she could adjust my glasses. She used a "matter of fact" tone & continued to say if you don't have a warranty on your glasses it's nothing I can do. The assistant manager was standing by and the the worker gave her my glasses and told her to help help me instead. The assistant manager proceeded to help me with a very nonchalant tone. Once finished I asked her could I make a customer service report, and she nonchalantly asked me "on who". Her attitude was very "I could careless". If you're going to work with the public, you should have a positive attitude, even if you feel there's nothing you can do to help. I would never come back to this location! This is literally the 2nd time I've had to come back due to my eyeglasses needing adjustment.

I wanted to get the 2 for price glasses but they made me use my medical insurance instead so I only got one pair. I was going to try bifocals. Could not get used to them so took them back and got single vision. Bifocals costs a lot more than single vision and they refused to refund me the difference in price. Then they had a bunch of add on prices--cost of an additional test by one of the techs to give the dr a better "picture" of your eye.

I have had my glasses there for nearly a year and I have been in and out of the store many times to have them adjusted where they bend really easy. This is the worst experience I have ever had with glasses. I don't recommend this company at all choose another place. Very low quality frames and plastics in glasses.

I had cataract surgery and no longer need contacts. America's Best wouldn't refund me because the order was older than 30 days. Costco took their contacts back for a full refund of over $700. Same for 1800 contacts - fully refunded an order from 2011. Also, America's Best website is horrible for ordering. It takes the order then emails you later to let you know they cancelled the order.

Avoid, avoid, avoid! This place only wants your $$ does not care about you or your eyes. No eye dr even on staff, all done virtually! Refused to refund or give me my correct prescription after they sent the wrong order to my house. So I paid for contacts that are useless to me and have no recourses. Horrible horrible company. Avoid!

I collected my 2 pairs of glasses on 9/8/2021 and to my surprise I find that both pairs are identical. When I had selected the Frames I remember choosing from 2 different areas and one was Ray Ban and brown. However when I collected both were Black Randy Jackson (RJ 1084). I called left a voicemail, sent an email however even after a week no response. It appears the Customer Service is very poor, even to loyal customers like me! Will not recommend anymore.

The guys at the front desk acted like I didn't matter. Barely glanced at my insurance card before saying that they don't take that kind. The optometrist (through Zoom) could not do my eye exam and said I needed to see an opthamologist all the time her baby is screaming i

My appointment was March 07,2023. My eyes were examined and I was promised contacts for March 22,2023. Today is April 24,2023 and the only products I have to show after paying America's Best in good faith are two different lies after reaching out to the Humble, Texas location twice. America's Best has blatantly failed to provide timely communication, honest responses and as of 4:00 pm today no product. I attempted to convey the fact that I paid the company in good faith to a representative by the last name of DelaSantos,she responded that my insurance paid for my order in a very indignant tone. At this point I've paid for merchandise that I can't access or make use of.

Opportunity for retraining.

Positives: Very affordable, good frame selection with some frames clearance-priced even cheaper. Staff is friendly and helpful though not very experienced.
Cons: Any specialized request will incur an upcharge, including (in my case) a request to polish the lens edges, usually a standard practice. I have a high-minus (thick) prescription and requested that the lens be mounted in the frame such that the thick lens is mostly behind the frame as opposed to in front of the frame (an industry standard if not a simple request that I've made elsewhere for decades) only to have the manager tell me that this was not possible (?!) at America's Best. Use this business for your emergency pair of glasses or other un-critical eyeglass needs.

What a great experience I had while at the Cheyenne Wyoming America's Best eyeglass store. The entire staff was extremely attentive and professional. The prices were very reasonable and the assistant manager was a huge help with fitting my new glasses.
Please express my sincere gratitude to the whole staff for their extreme professionalism. I will continue to use this store for all my eye care needs. Please pass on my thanks to the assistant manager and the entire staff!

Never give reviews but the experience forced me to share my worst customer experience. Staff lacks knowledge about copay, rude & slow working staff, the bathroom is not functional, incompetent staff, what a pathetic service. Even if you get free service its not worth it

I recently had the oppertunity to finally get glasses from Americas best. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. All the staff, the front desk desk, technician and the Doctor. Had a few laughs as well. Great deal and great service. And guess what...I can see now! I will go back here, i recommend them if you are looking for a great place to get an exam and low cost for exam and glasses.

Wonderful service tons of discounts. Three year membership for $100 and they credit your purchase on contacts or glasses that same hundred dollars plus you get a $20 credit for just signing up for the three years. Kennedy my associate that checked me out and set me up was amazing. She's fixed my old glasses in less than 10 minutes for free. Of course I purchased them there years ago. Been using America's best for years and years. They are America's best for sure

Took them 6 months to get a trial contacts...one pair. When I ordered my new contacts they weren't in stocks and didn't email me for 3 weeks. The pair they gave me in the office ripped so I had to go back 3 times. Finally just got my new prescription 8 months later and the prescription is so off. They gave me both with astigmatism but I've never had astigmatism in my left eye before. So frustrated with this company I could scream.

I worked with Summer when I visited your Burnsville store and she was amazing. So helpful, fun and kind. She gave me honest feedback and took her time to find the best glasses for me. She didn't make me feel rushed at all and seemed to really enjoy helping customer's find just the right pair of glasses. I love my new glasses and truly feel Summer made that happen. What a treasure you have in her.

I have a medical condition which prohibits me from wearing a mask. Americas best in Griffin, Ga refused to serve me. The woman behind the counter had a loose mask which moved when she talked. I went to college and grad school, I know for a fact that a paper mask is USELESS in protecting anybody from a virus. There was not one customer in the store but I was treated poorly by the staff. Do not buy anything from americas best. They don't care if you have a disability or not...

I have had nothing but trouble with this company. I needed to get contacts for a new job because I was not able to wear glasses. It took 4 months to get the contracts after being told it would take 20 days. I had person after person tell me they were ordered, until finally I was told that the individual I was working with quit and never actually did so. After have the prescription for a year and now needing more a month before I run out they are refusing to send me more contacts and I'm being told I have to get a new prescription. Unfortunately I am unable to give 0 stars because that is actually what they have earned.

Tip for consumers:
Don't go to America's worst. Go literally anywhere else for better service.

Went to the Sanford store. Everyone was very nice and courteous. Patrick was a wonderful delight to work with. I have never been more happier with the choice of my sunglasses and regular glasses. Thank you sooo much Patrick!'

For the online shopping, America's Best contact lens sells what we can't use then alters the merchandise that we never ordered without our permission to ship out, saying "we found a problem with your order". They notify the issue nearly one week after the order as another problem. They refuse communication with us on such trouble by not giving a reasonable customer service contact. I just had this issue, getting a voicemail saying that I was not allowed to use the contact lens I ordered, a week after the order. They left a phone number but I can't reach anyone on the 'forever wait on hold' Trash service is here.

Went to doctor yesterday,due to foreign body in eye,doctor asessed problem,solved the problem in very short period of time,very polite and knowledgeable gave medication and follow up,great asset for company,i would recommend to anyone,wish to have more doctors like you.

Sara was the best receptionist I have ever spoke with she got me in quick and helped me decide what was best for me I truly enjoyed my visit and will be back as long as Sara will help me. I went in for my eye exam. I specifically told the doctor I wanted colored contacts and I was under the understanding my trial period would be those but now that I want to order my colored contacts they said I have to trial another one because they didn't give me the correct trial contacts in the beginning. I said fine, order them. Here it is a month later and I was told they just now TODAY ordered them. My eye exam was on 4/2/2022 and today is 5/23/2022. There have been 2 calls in between those dates also. This is unacceptable all the way around. I will not ever go back there again!

This place has become a joke. Two weeks ago, I requested an eye exam with Dr. Karl Schwandt, whom I have been seeing for the last 15 years in this location. The apt. Was made, and I was ensured that it would be with him. On the day of the apt. I called to confirm the appointment with Dr. Schwandt and was told that he had left and there were 2 different doctors performing exams. Why did the office not call me to say that he won't be in the office? The customer service at this location worsened each time I had to schedule an exam. After 15 years, it's time to change eye doctors if I can't get the one that I want.

This company offers such a good deal on commercial sales, so I tell my husband let's drive to peublo co which is 240 round trip we get are eye exam, then they sale is only for a pair of cheap long distance an one for reading it is not for bifocals. Then we had to go there four times over a 1000 mile an the last time they said the glasses were ready an they were not. It took us over 8 months to get r glasses. The people were so rude an we felt like they we so rude I've never experienced anything like it. We spent so much money an time, they seemed to have a problem with a person that has disabilities.

I'm 58 years old and have not had my eyes checked for a number of years. I stopped in to the University store in Sarasota and were greeted by a very nice & pretty young lady. She helped me right away with getting a eye exam. Good thing I did! My eyesight had definitely changed! I was shown the frames to choose from and helped with finding the right ones for my face shape. She was so helpful and the eye doctor explained everything she was doing. I highly recommend this store to my friends& family.
