But,. Things change. The last loan failed and I got a message, "Your loan has been declined", and no one spoke to me again. I will be calling other companies when the economy restarts.

This is the most disconnected company I've dealt with. I have financed, bought and sold over 10 homes in the last 4 years and this is the biggest bunch of b. S. I've ever dealt with. They have asked me for the same information 3 times... I've uploaded the information as well as emailed it to them, they confirm receiving it and still ask for it again. Not a good way to do business. Initially I was told it would take 4 to 6 weeks to close on my refinance. It has been over 10 weeks and they just changed my loan originator and are asking for the same info again. My credit score is in the high 700's and my income is close to 50k per year. This company is not one to deal with. I don't know who they paid to leave good reviews, but it must be employees doing it.

After nearly 3 months, I withdrew my application for a refi. I found the people at Amerisave to be incompetent, liars, and noncommunicative. I have an excellent credit rating, but they still ask for information time and again that bordered on stupid. One minute they say I was approved, and than they requested the amount I pay for my homeowners association fee. I sent them a copy of a cancelled check, but this wasn't good enough. I have never been treated so badly by any financial institution in the past, and I am over 80. On a positive note, the Processor, Crystal Lee, did everything she could to expedite things, but she was up against some very incompetent people.

I've done several refi's with multiple lenders and have never had any problems, always closed in 30 days.
One delay after another with AmeriSave because of their incompetency and mistakes. No one picks up the ball after they drop it. 60 days later and no real communication to let me know what is going on, I have to constantly pursue updates and their excuses are frustratingly ridiculous.
I should have stayed away when they demanded an unrefundable $500 to start the application. I have never been charged a fee upfront like that. Should have listened to my instincts.

We started the process of refinancing our home... before the application was complete, they asked my husband to give them $524.00 for assessment of the home. This was yesterday... well, we did not complete the loan application- and decided to go with another company. My husband called today to let them know we were going else where and that we wanted our $524.00 back- only to be told it was nonrefundable because we were locked in... we never completed the application! NO ONE came to assess the house!.

After receiving my pre-approval letter, have my offer accepted on a house, and being told through multiple emails I was good to go and the house would be mine after we order title work and appraisal I was completely ghosted. Got one call from his supervisor saying he would handle my account then nothing for 3 weeks. The day before closing I receive a phone call saying he was sorry about the miscommunication but my loan wont be going through now. The next morning I received a generic email from the original loan officer saying Im prequlified for a home loan through them. Absolutly horrible company who will waste your time and give you false hope!

As an experienced real estate attorney who has worked with other online mortgage lenders, I expected a smooth process when I applied for a refinance loan. Just wish I had visited this site and read the reviews which all accurately explain my experience. Despite 800 credit scores, 60 % equity, this company has continually asked for more and more documents. They even requested me to obtain our tax transcript from IRS. I complied with all their requests even though many times they requested the same things over and over again. But the final straw was when I received their Closing Disclosure as we approached a closing date. They had REDUCED the loan amount and TRIPLED the loan origination points as they claimed that we had requested a change in terms. UNBELIEVABLE. I now have an email into the supposed manager over my loan processor. If this is not resolved promptly, I plan to pursue all legal remedies. UNDER all circumstances, do NOT use this company.

Applied to prequalify for a mortgage loan over a week ago.
Original email said 4.99%-5.35%.
Loan officer cameback with 5.85%, which was not what was communicated.
Then estimates $9k in closing fees for points. When i challenge why and to be removed. Explanation is buying points is good. Also did not fix the high cost but pushed a $1000 if signed today.
Sorry a company that lies on interest rates and closing cost inflation - should not be in business.

This company shows tables for all types of financing. When you select the interest rate you would kike it shows you the cost, problem is the shown cost is for the ideal credit score and financial picture. You don't find this out until you have paid 35.00 for a check on your credit score, after paying and finding out that the closing cost had becme five times higher than first quoted i felt taken advantage of, there should have been a notice making customers aware of the fact that their costs, in most cases, will be higher than their tables showed.it compares to the old bait and switch tactic. Stay away from this lender. What they are doing may not be illeagel bot it is shady at best

First time for refinancing my home and applied with AmeriSave due to them be recommended by lending tree. I assume AmeriSave pays lending tree $$$ to promote them. Either way, horrible communication from loan originator. Underwriters would ask for the same documents multiple times (not paystubs but previous year w-2s and tax returns). What did they do with the first set I submitted? Had to Withdraw my application 2x since the first time I guess they disregarded the email or are just idiots working there. Would not recommend to anyone.

I wanted to know what their 15 and 20 year fixed rates for a no cash out re-fi was. They ask you a bunch of personal information and the clincher at the end was they wanted my Social Security Number to pull my credit. DANGER DANGER. I am shopping around and my credit score would take a huge hit if every lender did this. If I recall, your score goes down on the 3rd check in a month.

I applied for a loan and was treated well. But that's where the good service ended. They had put the wrong city in the application so the appraisal service did not cover my area. I got that straightened out and go a call from the appraiser in my town. She made an appointment with her having to take time off to meet her because her daughter was having a school program on the day I had free. That's the last time I heard from her! No return phone calls. Then I noticed that they canceled by loan, I guess because it was taking so long. I contacted them and Atif ** Loan Originator NMLS ID #** told me that they had tried to contact me. Funny I had no email messages or phone messages from them. I think that he's trying to cover his butt for screwing this up. At any rate I have now lost the $400.50 dollars I paid them for no assessment plus the few point hit on my credit. Don't waste your time with them.

I went thru 1 agent and my loan wasn't approved. It was for to much money. I had another agent call me the same day and said he could get it approved. Lowered what I wanted to borrow which was fine with me. Paid application fee which I had to borrow. Drug it out for 4 weeks then told me I didn't qualify. I own my home no mortgage on it. So if I would have defaulted they would have had a home appraised at 121,000 for a 61,000 loan. I would never send anyone to them for a loan. They lie to you through the whole process. DON'T TRUST THEM.

Brandy Adams our loan processor has been the most wonderful in the world to work with. We have had no problems and if anything came up she would work with us immediatly. I will reccomend AmeriSave to anyone who asks for an excellent company to work with. We have worked with Amerisave more than once and never had any problems. JAS

I really wish that there was more truth online. If I had only seen these reviews instead of the "paid and faulty reviews". That Amerisave controls and wants you to see. This company is a complete scam. They also own the Appraisal company NOVO. BUYER BEWARE. They will have their own appraisal company do the report, claim that it will be done by a third party unaffiliated appraisal company. THIS IS A LIE.
Then they will try to jack up your rate, closing costs etc. It doesn't matter if you have excellent credit, a great job, whatever! They will try and SCAM you! We lost over $1,000 just trying to apply and then pulled out when we realized how terrible this company was. WALK THE OTHER WAY PLEASE.

In may 21 I reached out to amerisave for a re-fi. They WERE quick and courteous to get me A loan. They immediately wanted the appraisal fee, but after a month of sending info and neccessary paperwork. We were down to changing the insurance, when THEY saw that the original house was a manufactured home. They terminated the loan, and said they WOULD send the fee back to me. It's now been over a month and no one will return my calls! Why wasn't i asked MORE about the home? I never saw an appraiser, so how can I be charged for one?
Tip for consumers:
They should have asked ABOUT THE HOME about the 3rd question , when they asked what type of home I owned! This could have saved days of information being sent and signed, ONLY TO BE TURNED DOWN AT THE LAST MINUTE!

Johnathan Kavanaugh is the worst loan originator at AmeriSave. He creepily dug into my whole background and sent me messages on the side while looking into my credit report. Doing credit scan is one thing, but to dive deep into my personal information and question all that he sees is a violation of my privacy. Not only that, he also unnecessarily shared my personal information with agents he sent my way. Did not feel comfortable working with that company.
Tip for consumers:
Just go to someone you trust.

I was able to successfully refinance with Amerisave. Thanks to Taylor Thomas and Erin Scianimanico for there professional work. I am a union employee with and atypical house and a property that was being replatted into different parcels. This was a tough one. Thanks again for sticking with it through the process.

Was caretaking for my mom for 1.5 years and left my 27yr business closed during this period until she passed, needed to get back on my feet so looked at taking out first mortgage on my newly built home. They promised me the world last September,,, 8 months later not only still waiting but i had to cancel in attempt to find a reputable company instead. Requirement after requirement with no results. Coincidently perhaps but both home and cell phones blowing up with telemarketers and auto warrantee scam calls all day! I truly believe this is there only means of income. Horrible company in my opinion,,, Stay far away!

Like others, I paid $500 to get the refinancing process started. They kept asking for more and more obscure documentation (like my divocre decree from 12 years ago!) Finally, they asked me for a paystub from 2020. Not only do I not save my paystubs for years, but I was self-employed at that time and didn't have any paystubs because I was paid in distributions. This appears to be a scam.

Trey LaVera and Scott Circo were very thorough and efficient! When you're serious about doing your refi, these two will get it done in no time! They were the best! With these two behind the charge... everything happened it seemed, in minutes... of course in reality a little longer. With all my questions, they were quick to respond and answer them to my understanding. Once these two got the ball rolling and with the rates that were being offering, I didn't have a chance or desire to go with any other lender. Thanks for having such great employees on hand.

AmeriSave quoted and approved me for a loan. Found out from the realtor that AmeriSave does not loan on manufactured homes in mobile home parks, and now AmeriSave won't give back the deposit I paid on a loan I was told was approved. They finally admitted that they wouldn't loan on my type of loan and still I cannot get my money back, stay away from this lender.

If you are assigned to Daniel Hill
(Loan Originator NMLS ID #*******) RUN. He will waste your time and not have a clue what you are trying to accomplish. My current rate is 2.625. I want to do a cash out refi using a VA loan. We started this process two weeks ago. Today I noticed his GFE was just a refi. I have over 130k in equity. He told me a straight refi is my best bet.

I went with Amerisave on a cashout refinance of 150k on a 300k house value. My credit was over 800. The interest rate offered was 2.25% on a 15 year loan. Like most people here, they required a massive amount of documents. I expected this, so no problem. After 4 months of providing everything, they submitted the final contract with the interest almost a point higher than we agreed on. They did not draw attention to the change, just emailed me the new contract. When I asked about the changes, they said the product they originally offered me was no longer being offered. I declined the changes and went with Loan Depot. They offered me the same thing and we closed in 35 days. My advice is to give AmeriSave a pass. If you have a similar experience, be sure to file complaints with the BBB and Attorney General for your state. If you don't file complaints, they will continue to do this to unsuspecting applicants.
