But,. Things change. The last loan failed and I got a message, "Your loan has been declined", and no one spoke to me again. I will be calling other companies when the economy restarts.

AmeriSave Mortgage is a deceptive company. Friday my wife and I received information from AmeriSave titled "Notice to Home Loan Applicant." The documentation showed our credit scores from the 3 credit reporting agencies. The problem was that we had never heard of AmeriSave and did NOT apply for a Home Loan through AmeriSave (or any one else).
On Monday I called the number on the documentation and reached "Brett" (if that was his real name). He told me he was licensed in AZ. When I explained that we had never applied for a Home Loan and that I was concerned that someone had misappropriated our social security numbers, he kept saying "Well, this is like a menu. No one stole your social security number. This was only a soft pull." He explained that he did not have my social security number. When I asked how was he able to pull our credit scores if he didn't have our social security numbers, he hung up.
Again, we never applied to AmeriSave for a home loan and we certainly did not authorize Brett to use our social security numbers to pull a credit report, soft or otherwise.
BEWARE of this company. They are pulling "soft" credit reports without permission apparently as part of a marketing scheme.

I was conned into paying $500 to process a "loan pre-approval letter" which was also being prepared at a very ridiculously high rate. The agent did not tell warn me of any upfront fees to process the said letter.
I was advised to send some of my personal documents and complete some disclosure documents online and it was in these documents a payment authorization was hidden whic the officer said to complete being part of the process. He sent me a notice which basically says the letter is still being processed. On detecting their scam, i immediately reached out and asked the process be stopped, cancelled and demanded my money be refunded to y account. The agent in question repeatedly ignored my emails and calls and even had the audacity to email asking i send more personal documents to continue to facilitate and complete the process. I again re-terated my wishes which he ignored. I disputed the charges with my bank but in the interim will warn others to be wary while dealing with these company.

You will jump through hoops like a trained poodle only to find that you need to spend more money only to borrow money to replace the money that you spent. Seems like a definition of insanity to me.

Wish I had looked into reviews before wasting 2 months on this company and their process. We are self-employed and have had several mortgages with just a few extra steps for income verification. Our credit is good and was looking for refi on home. They offered more than what we wanted and said we were approved. Unfortunately they started our process with my maiden name. We requested it corrected immediately and they kept pushing it off. The info (tax returns, license, business info) was all in my married name. This caused EXTREME confusion for their 'underwriters'. I am not sure what training they have since they do not know what certain tax schedules small business owners use. Finally after fixing my name they now needed me to verify who I was. 20 yr old marriage certificate and same license they had…over a week later after emails and calls went unanswered we finally got a call back from loan originator. He basically gave my husband one reason and me (thru email) another. Not once did they want paystubs or business formation to prove we were owners but weren't 'comfortable' with income verification and proving we owned business. Basically they just wasted our time and never had any intention on closing on a loan with us. By the way, they had us sign closing documents too. Not sure why they would those if they weren't comfortable being in business with us. Shameful and not professional.

I made the worst mistake of my professional life accepting a job at amerisave. All of the negative reviews are 100% accurate. Amerisave exists to take applications and the $500 processing fee. You might get lucky and have your loan funded but the real intent is to keep your $500. They make a lot of money doing this. By the way, if you want your $500 back simply submit a complaint at the CFPB or BBB websites. You'll get it back faster than you can imagine. I could go on for days about how awful and pathetic this company is but rest assured, it's as bad as a company can possibly get. Avoid at all costs and for gods sake quit stressing about saving a quarter point on the rate so your payment is $30 lower a month. NOT WORTH IT. That's why you're in this mess and you should have been smarter than to pay $500 for a floating rate and wait months with no communication. A little reading into the company would have told you they were already fined huge for deceptive marketing. Take a little higher rate with a reputable company you greedy dopes lol. In summary, there should be a congressional investigation into the mortgage industry and companies like this should be eliminated immediately. Anyone that works here should be ashamed because you are a pathetic human being if this is the best you can do.

I would not choose this company again if my life depended on it, I currently have my mortgage through them and trying to get away from this company. They have hidden fees in the sub lender DMI they send you off to. It was virtually impossible to get a hold of my loan officer prior and after closing. They charged a ridiculous amount of closings costs, nothing went as told. They shorted my Escrow so when it was time for payment to be paid, I had to cover the difference because the back of the letter that was not disclosed states any changes in property taxes is the customers responsibility to notify the lender. At this time I didnt have any information to give I didnt find out until after closing. The process was one big.rush and close and get paid.So now because of so many errors and mistakes it is impossible to get away from this company. They have ruined any capability for me to refinance and go some place else from their fees and costs, even lied about interest rate. Higher then agreed too. Everything about this company is one big joke. Stay away from them. Do yourself a favor and save the headache and waste of time.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from that company Amerisave. They talk all good, but they dont disclose everything.

I believe its a loan originators responsibility to see that a paying client receives what cash out they are asking for at closing. When its requested via my initial application and repeated multiple times via email, text and phone calls to my originator but the cash out to me is almost $5,000.00 less, someone didn't do their job. Very unhappy about the poor service and communication I received from my loan originator and my loan processor. Loan processor was repeatedly interruptive and snippy. I was told by my loan processor that she would request as a courtesy from my poor service I received, a refund of 1 point that I paid as part of my closing costs. I agreed. I never got a refund. I never got any correspondence about it. Being disabled and not having nor received the correct cash out at closing nor any explanation why, has actually cost me money. 4 Closing disclosures were written with still, not the correct cash out at closing indicated. There is no reason for this especially after repeatedly talking about these incorrect disclosures. Amerisave was fined in 2014 for shady dealings. Very sorry I gave them a chance. Look elsewhere, there are plenty of fish.

I was wanting to refinance, for the sole purpose of lowering my interest rate. I was told by representative S. Redmond that Everything looked good and all we had to do was get an appraisal. I asked why the appraisal done at the time of purchase couldn't be used, considering the property was purchased 2 years ago. I then expressed my concern about paying for an appraisal and not getting approved. He assured me unless there was significant damage (such as water or fire damage), the appraisal shouldn't be an issue. I found someone to do the appraisal for about $200 less than the company he recommended, but he stated we had to use their appraiser. Their appraiser appraised the property at $3000 above the purchase price, although the property was purchased at a minimum of $20,000 below its actual value, and I made upgrades to the property (such as tankless water heaters and central air units). The refinance was denied, wasting 3 - 4 months of my time and money. But a month later I was able to refinance through my credit union. BUYER BEWARE!

I would have given this company a NEGATIVE Star, but I had to at least give it a One Star to do this review. I tried working with this JOKE of a company and they were constant Liars, Manipulators and wanted SO much more info than they needed that NOBODY EVER had asked for in the past of things that didn't even apply. They would feed you answers you want to hear but then send you documents that were TOTALLY opposite of what you just talked about at ridiculous prices. Too many people working on your things and re-requests and not listening. Even talked to a Manager that was a total liar and busted in his lies... as I saved every email he sent. Promises that were lies just to try and keep the ball rolling and keep my questions out. I read reviews and did not see ANY posted that were bad, reason for us to try them. Sounded so good. I want to help who uses them KNOW what they may get into. From the get go they seemed very odd... asking me - what do you want for an interest rate, to,... you need to change your Mortgagee with your Ins Company to us ASAP before we go any further...(never ever had to do that before you even KNOW you are going to close with them). Bottom Line... BE AWARE!

Patrick Markert - CEO / Owner
Today I got an email from my loan processor stating that my loan was declined because of debt to income ratio...? This has never been an issue so very unclear as why underwriters would deny us unless they were not provided the appropriate documentation.
Started application on or about Oct. 19th. According to the loan officer this process normally takes 8-12 weeks. Mely response as it related to the on-going delay. Only have seven loan numbers and was told that computer issues were attributed to a delay...
We signed loan disclosures about 8 weeks ago and recently signed our second set of disclosures after unfreezing our credit for the second time because of of your delays,
BOTH time they spelled Diane's name Dianne... they have all our documentation with the name being spelled as Diane.
I cannot begin to express my anger and disgust given the amount of time and energy I expended getting all the documents sent in a timely fashion only to get this recent rejection.
Other loan numbers,,, *******, *******, *******, *******, *******
Again, I can only think this was a bank error and not researched prior to being declined.
Please refund my $ 500.00 application fee as your company has continually botched this re-re-fi application. I will be seeking other remedies and plan to file a complaint with the Consumer Complaint office and others.

This punk a$$ company beat me for $500 upfront "lock-in" rate (just like everybody else on this review site). I was originally told the closing would take 3 - 4 weeks and my rate would be 2.6%. After 6 weeks and me sending in an ungodly amount of documents, they tell me that there was a hit and that my rate would have to increase to 3.1% in order for the loan to be approved. After careful thought, I agreed to continue on because that was still much better than my current rate of 5%. After agreeing and completing the new loan paperwork, I was told that it would close in the next couple weeks since they already had all my info. Then crickets... After a week in a half of nothing, I called on a Friday morning to confirm the closing date (which I was originally told would be the following Monday). Low and behold I was told that the Manager denied my loan... WHAT?!?!?!?! So if I hadn't called to check on the status, I wouldn't have even known that my loan was denied. And how does everything go from looking great to all of a sudden being denied at the very last minute. I mean, I was literally told that I would be closing on Monday of the following week - to finding out that I was being denied the Friday before. WTF!?!?! Do yourself a favor and stay FAR away from this company. It's a money grab... consider hundreds (maybe thousands) of poor saps around the country coughing up $500 upfront fee and the majority being denied. That's a straight up money grab! You've been warned!

Stay Away!!!

This has to be the Worst loan company ever.
Amerisave representatives are non-responsive and miss important details. We started to do Business with john cady or what ever his name is. Guy made promises he couldn't keep. After the first day of sending him our documents he went ghost no reply no call back no reply play to my emails. Was pressured into signing the refinance paperwork before we could fully review it. This resulted having to pay a $875 appraisal fee after canceling the contract with Amerisave do to there Unprofessionalism. Now we have to pay a $960 appraisal fee for a Company we are not using. When the company we are using only charger $600 continuously misunderstand simple communication. Their rates may be low, however, their customer service is lacking a lot. If your rates aren't locked in and you receive paperwork do not believe them this Company is full of con artist that are looking to get paid anyway they can. Someone needs to Investigate this company and get them shut down I see I'm not the only one who has been ripped off do to lack of information and I'm sure I'm not the last of you are thing about trying Amerisave or looking to get a loan do not use this company I promise you will regret it. Do your research and look up the reviews if I looked at the reviews First I would never have tried to use this loan company. I been waiting on a reply from them since June 14 it's July 5th now if I could I would give the 0 stars if you get some one name John Cady, Brandon, Britney King or Ashley Hawley hang up and save your self
Tip for consumers:
Do not use them and do not trust anything they tell you do not let them pressure you into skipping over documents that’s how they get you they briefly read certain sections of the document and tell you just to sign. Then you end up Having to pay for things you didn’t even know that you would have to pay for or stuff that they said they would take care of end up you have to come out of pocket

I started my refinance process with Amerisave in early July. I started with Amerisave after talking to one of their representatives and foolishly believing in his promises of prompt responses, closing this in August and getting a floating interest rate in case the interest rates go down before closing. I also paid $500 upfront as per their rules. Its 4 months since then and there is no sign of a closing date yet. I'm stuck with the $500 that i already paid. Also the interest rates have fluctuated and gone down since then and no word about reducing the interest rate even ater me asking them several times. I just wanted to move on if they refund my amount, but they Never Ever entertained any conversations about my refund and let me go even after me asking them so many times. Also they kept requesting my current lender about loan information which costed my $30 everytime they did. I think so far i got charged extra for about $100. They wasted my TIME, MONEY AND STILL TESTING MY PATIENCE. They always answer the question they want to and not the questions that we ask. This is absolutely unacceptable and i need my refund and get the hell out of this mess. Its sad that i cannot and now I'm really not sure if they will ever close this and honor the credit and interest rate they initially agreed to.

Dealing with this company was an absolute nightmare. Over a ridiculous span of 5 1/2 months, they asked repeatedly for the same documents, were unresponsive to the majority of my emails, told me multiple times everything was on track, only to back pedal. In the end they FORMALLY APPROVED MY LOAN and scheduled closing... then BAILED a few days beforehand.
At first I gave them slack due to the pandemic, but three of my friends refinanced with other companies within a month without all the aggravation and ineptitude. It was the unprofessionalism that really got me, such as when one of the reps sent an insulting email to my employer, and when a different rep kept harassing my HO insurance agent for a document she had already submitted, to the point I had to intervene and call a supervisor. I wasted countless hours of my life with this company and strongly caution others from applying with them. They may have once been a legit company, but that is no longer the case. Be sure to check out all the complaints on the Better Business Bureau website.
