Horrible customer service after the sale. Bought Generac stand by generator had problem from first month. Generac is no help at all and their customer service people are nasty. So I go AP ELECTRIC who advertise free lifetime technical support. I called them spoke to Dom who told me he could sell me the repair manual fo $20.00 that isn't tech support to me. Then finally got to managing partner Chris Tessier who said he would help. Spoke to him 2 or 3 times. He gave me his cell and email. He no longer answers his phone or email. I purchase 10 to 15 generators a year if he wnot help me he for sure won't help a single purchase customer. If your have any problems with your generator don't let them lead you along until it's out of warranty immediately DISPUTE it with your CREDIT CARD company
Sold me a broken generator and refused to fix or replace. I was told to pound sand! Please do not buy from this company

They sell defective generators for new ones will not Owner warranty, fix them, and they won't ignore your emails and telephone calls, do not buy!
They lie to you and say their generators are in stock. In reality they just order them from the manufacturer, when you place your order.

I purchased $7600. 00 in products from this company and in the order I purchased a soft starter for my air conditioning unit for $378.00 upon installing it. The box fried the compressor on the unit. I contacted AP electrical and told them I wanted to return it and that I wasn't looking for a refund on the compressor just the for the soft start. They informed me that they couldn't provide a refund since the box was used unless Generac authorized it. So I contacted Generac Corp who advised that they can't do anything about it since they don't sale to the public. They advised that I would have to deal with AP electric where I purchased it from. The customer service sucks. You might want to really consider if you want to buy from this company. I also had a delay in receiving my switch box after paying for it. AP electric failed to notify me that they were OUT OF STOCK at the time of purchase. I had to call 4 times over a months period trying to find out what was going on. The product finally arrived 30 days later! Delayed the project a month and a half. This company will take your money but getting them to do follow ups, good luck. They won't call you back and it appears they won't except any merchandise back if you have an issue as in my case. You can buy the same products from other companies for the same prices. I was going to buy another 22kw from this company until this issue. I'm going somewhere else to get the another generator. I feel this company is geared more to getting sales than customer service in the end. BUYER BEWARE! Do you homework and read reviews I wish I had before ordering from this company.
As a retired person and needing power at all times I researched generators and selcted a Westinghouse 7500 and bought through APE&G as they said they had them in sttock and available for immediate delivery. The order confirmation came through with 4 to 6 weeks delivery. After 4 weeks I rang to check on delivery and was told it was on the ramp being loaded. Great I thought but then when it did not arrive, and the tracking number did not work, I rang them many times to get to the bottom of the problem and was told they had no firm delivery date as they were waiting parts from China. I therefore went on line and saw they had a dual fuel unit for immediate shippment (they said they physically checked) so I gave them another $100 for immediate shipment. The tracking number was not working so I rang them back 24 hours later to check. Now for more lies they had spoken to Westinghouse and they said the original unit had been shipped and thereefor e they cancelled the new order and would refund my $100 - guess what I am still waiting for the refund. Now they are saying they can not find where my original order has gone!!!!!!! Now I start to get worried and see this morning that Westinghouse has just come out of Chapter 11 and I was never told by APE&G.. What is more annoying is that I see they are advertising this same unit on their web site as IN STOCK and AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE SHIPMENT. Talk about Fake News this must be verging on fraud and certainly is covered by "miss information and deciet".
Do not deal with this company.
