"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
I received lots of calls and emails from possible places for Dad. Everyone was very nice and easy to work and talk with during each interaction.
I have heard about A Place for Mom on TV and when we were having concerns with where my Dad was, I thought I would reach out to you. It really turned out to be the best experience I have had.
While the technology could be a bit more advanced, in remembering that I have already connected with an advisor, the care, responsiveness, and willingness to help was excellent. Our advisor listened, adjusted as needs changed, and helped us provide both Live-in support during a critical period, and the assisted living facility that became the long-term solution to our needs.

She gave me a list of agencies who employed their staff (no self-contracted individuals) as well as having them licensed, bonded and insured. She continued to contact me to see where I was in the process and e-mailed several informational notes on how to begin the, what to look for, what to expect and questions to ask. Deserea's help was invaluable.

I started my search for assisted living care for my mother on the Memorial Day afternoon. Within an hour I had 4 tours set up with local assisted living communities. Traci, my senior care advisor checked on me and supported me through the entire process. She also communicated with the assisted living communities to ensure they were responding to my questions/needs in a timely manner. I really appreciated having Traci walking with me on this emotional journey.

When I contacted A Place for Mom, the advocate, Jim, I explained my brother was a Veteran, 66 years old, and in poor housing.
My brother, was in need of a senior community with all amenities a man my brothers age and a few medical conditions.
The next day Jim contacted me with a few Senior Suites. My brother and I did not waste anytime.
The following Monday my brother and I visited two facilities. The Managers were familiar with a place for mom.
On our visit the senior suites on 66th inch South Shore I believe where the manager was too busy at that time told us to come back. The next Senior suites we visited on 77th and South Shore. The manager was very hospitable and The manager was very hospitable and very familiar with A Place For mom they showed us apartments and gave us an application and gave my brother a list of documents that he would need to apply
When my brother brought in his documentation within just two weeks, he was approved for an apartment and we were ecstatic so thank you thank you thank you
My husband was ill—I forgot the year, maybe 2013—and I called A Place For Mom. They helped me find an assisted living facility for him, and we were very successful, so I was aware and knew that A Place For Mom could and would find him a place.
The staff person assisting me was available during the evening and afforded me significant attention right away in finding the right place for my father. She interviewed me and identified key information necessary to find the right place, including close proximity to other family members. Within two hours I had my first appointment scheduled for the next day. My Dad fell in love with the place and so have we...absolutely amazing experience.
