"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
Debbie Rogers & A Place for Mom were instrumental in finding a place for my dad and I can't thank them enough. We had quite the journey since my dad is a smoker and that seemed to be an issue at so many places. We placed my dad this week and not only did they help with that they helped with connecting me with other services like Patriots Angels for Veterans benefits.
My sister has worked with them before as a sheriff and DCF representative.
I found A Place for Mom representative to be very helpful in suggesting places and letting me know what was offered.
I heard about A Place for Mom on the television.
Set up a variety of places for us to visit. Found the perfect place for mom and she is very happy 😊
Asked some questions and they called me. So glad they did. Lots of good info.
A Place for Mom provided guidance at intake, followed almost immediately by contact from an advisor. The facilities they work with and suggested for my loved one were equally responsive and made contact and set up tours, one the same evening I interacted with my advisor.
I thought it would be helpful to sort through options. Marketing folks always paint with a positive brush-its their job. So it was helpful to have recommendations to begin the process. Contacts with 5-6 facilities vs going on your own trying to figure out personal care/ nursing care, etc.
We have had a great experience using A Place For Mom. It has saved us so much time to be able to get locations in our area, in our price range, and other people ratings.
Thank you for your assistance!
I had to be in Oregon and find a place for my mother in my city, not knowing what to do! Cathy was helpful and a calm presence during the process.
They were very helpful finding a good place for mother. They gave my options I didn't know about.
I didn't know where to turn to find a suitable place foe my mother.
Needed help with finding my Mom assisted living care, A Place for Mom gave me the information to help move forward and decide what was best for us.
Referred by my home healthcare team.
The list of memory care in our area helped us find the right place for my husband
At first I was a little reluctant, but then I took a chance and was so thankful for the assistance with finding the right independent living property for my mom. They helped with determining the need for independent living vs assisted living and gave lots of information on those properties in our area.
The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the persistence of the first liaison we worked with. Even though I would let her know that mom was not wanting to move yet and she was in and out of the hospital throughout the experience, the liaison would continuously call to "check on us" and always at just the wrong time. Then, for whatever reason, our account was transferred to another consultant and she was very respectful of my "I'll let you know when we need further assistance" request, letting me reach out to her as needed. Our journey took over a year to get mom moved and we wound up at the first property I visited.
I literally just "took a chance". If Joan London would endorse them it shouldn't be too bad, right? Right!
A Place for Mom was so helpful finding assisted living for my 98 year old mother who broke her hip.
Mom needs someone around the clock for every day living, and they were so helpful and
Had excellent communication with all parties involved.
Heard through word of mouth from others. Would recommend.
Jonathan has been so helpful. He understands what I'm looking for that's local and affordable. He's wonderful!
I've use A place for Mom before.
Jonathan was very nice and helpful. We are so grateful. He set up appointments at a few assisted living places and we ended up using one for my dad. Wonderful help for me!
Saw on internet.
Phenomenal. LaRonda coordinated tours. We were easily able to make the right selection. LaRonda listed, asked great questions and made wonderful referrals.
Provided several places to select from. Followed up with phone calls after each visit. Gave good advice.
Without this phenomenal service,
My 83 year old, very ill mother, would have not received the right medical attention and care!
Word of mouth!
My senior advisor, Aimen Jawad, was so knowledgeable and helpful. After listening to my needs, she recommended Brookdale Vista, a highly-rated assisted living facility for my sister that is located near my home. She scheduled a tour for me the same afternoon. I was so impressed with the facility and staff, that I made the decision that this was the right fit the same day!
For assistance describing the various assisted living facilities in my area, and help narrowing down the potential best fit for my needs.
I took the recommended places and surveyed them myself to see what I thought about them. Then I took my mother to each of the places and let her judge them for herself. In the end, she picked the place that I would have picked for her. I appreciated the range of cost and the range of places.
Basically, I had seen the television ads and that helped me go beyond my own knowledge of places for assisted living.
Donna was super friendly and understanding of my needs. She was reached out to me daily to see if I needed anything. Thank you a place for mom for all that you do.
I was familiar with the company. I used it for my father. Jackie Mc Cord helped me a while back. I like that you get a call back instantly.
They called us back almost immediately and were so kind and helpful! I couldn't be more thankful
Someone recommended them
I wasn't sure where to start the daunting process of researching future living arrangements for my mother this past spring. Luckily, she wasn't in an urgent situation to find a place, but I was still encouraged to start the search for when the time came. I had seen advertisements for A Place for Mom online and decided to give them a call. My agent, Vince, was extremely helpful from the very beginning. I felt such a relief after that first phone call, as Vince helped me choose several local living facilities to research, schedule tours of the properties and help compare my findings with each other. I felt like I had an ally by my side. After exploring dozens of options in multiple states, we finally found a few that fit the criteria we were looking for which we took tours of. Vince was always great at checking in with us to see how it was going or to offer support if needed. In the end, after weeks of exploring different properties, my mother decided that perhaps she is not ready to make the big move yet into Independent Living...but when the time comes, I now feel prepared and know I have help just a phone call away if needed! Thank you A Place for Mom!
Social Media presence and they seemed to offer just the help I was looking for!
When you are beginning this process, it is overwhelming. I welcomed all the advice I could get.
I saw a lot of ads, & the rehab we were in gave me quite a list.
Was called by a couple of places and got a place convenient for the family.
It was available right a way - all moved and settled in.
APFM is not just for Mom's. It's an exceptional resource for anyone looking for specialized care for a loved one. One phone call promptly resulted in 6 recommendations and appointments within a week at quality nearby facilities for my brother. I have only compliments for this service.
Heard the ads and decided to call.
