"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
My coordinator helped me locate agencies that provide home health care and a contact from the VA that reached out to us. Really appreciated the help to find help for us!

Was looking for a senior living facility for my wife and was not having a lot of success in finding something that was both affordable and a place where my wife could be happy. A Place For Mom very quickly and efficiently provided a wide option of places to visit and evaluate. Within just a few days I had found a nice senior Living facility that was within budget and only 30 minutes from home. Without the guidance of A Place For Mom I was at loose ends and completely lost in this new experience.
We were in need of a quick solution,A Place for Mom responded quickly with referrals and other helpful info to find a facility. We toured three places the very next day and chose a place and within the week we were moving her in. My experience was great and I recommend a Place for Mom,you will be glad you did.

From the emails to the conversations, this was a great resource for finding an assisted living facility. They provided a list of several places near us.
It was a resource that narrowed down the list of facilities based on the needs.
Sarah was awesome and so helpful. Worked with our budget and helped find the perfect place. The other ones were not nearly as nice as were we landed, cannot say enough great things about Maristone of Franklin...under new managment and just mountains of difference between this place and others they recommended...Sarah was so helpful and kept on top of me!

Gave me a place to start, I appreciate that. When I talked with the consultant, they prematurely set up tours that I was not ready to do yet. However, understanding that I could was helpful. Talking with each of the facilities managers was wonderful - they were very very helpful.
I didn't know the area of Rochester, when doing internet searches, it was difficult to compile a list of independent living faciilites.
Marie has been helping me find placement for my father (63 male with severe dementia) and she has been an angel! Definitely recommend A Place for Mom! There aren't many resources out there for people in my situation but this company has always been there for me!
Dana was a pro from the get-go. Very quick to respond, a subject matter expert, and a very compassionate and patient demeanor. I was able to quickly relocate my mother to a hospice care home which she could afford.

I had no clue what my next steps should be and I was almost at the panicking stage because my Mom could not live alone anymore. Leisa went over finances and what types of services may be needed. She gave me several options in my budget and around the area I needed and set up the visits with the facilities. She also sent me a check list of important questions to ask. She reached out after each visit and we talked about them. She has texted and called to make sure everything was arranged.
I can't say enough positive things about this company and especially Leisa Wade, she is amazing. She was my angel when I needed help and I can not recommend her enough.

Our counselor Stephenee was incredibly helpful. After gathering some information about my mother, her situation and finances, she sent us a list of several possibilities. Since my mother lives out of town and will be moving to my area, I visited the suggested senior communities. I also got ideas from my neighborhood listserv. My mother came to town and saw the top 4 of the ones I visited. Actually, she only saw three, because she loves the third one and decided to go there.
I didn’t know where to start and had seen commercials for A Place for Mom.
I use to recommend this service to everyone that I worked with. Then I needed their service. Well, it didn't go as well as i had planned. I did 90% of the work. There was a financial issue when I rented at the place I chose. I was floored.

My first interaction with APFM….was an overwhelming feeling of peace and gratefulness. APFM were so calming and soft spoken and constantly endsured me that her only concern is that together we find suitable extended care housing, where I can be in peace knowing my Mom would be very well cared for. I'm grateful and thankful to APFM and God for the peace I now feel with Mom in her assisted living situation. God Bless the young lady who assisted me in such a warm and caring manner!
I work in senior living, memory care and skilled nursing; so when my mother needed help I thought I would be able to choose the best place. I was mistaken! I did not find the best place for her and realized it after a few months. I contacted A Place For Mom and reached Cindy Doty. Cindy made me feel comfortable and, after discussing my mom's needs, gave me options for good places for her. I chose the one I felt would be best and I was right! My mother is happy, healthy and mentally stimulated. As a daughter, that is exactly what I needed. I never would have found this program if not for A Place For Mom. Thank you

They have been very helpful finding places to tour and setting up appointments. They also gave me a lot of information I would have never thought to ask about.

We had to move quickly to find a home for my Mom that could accommodate her needs, and I do not think we could have managed the process without A Place For Mom. We worked with Jamie and she was amazing at every step of the way. Our family is deeply appreciative of APFM and will definitely suggest it to others in similar situations.
On a referral from the nursing facility which was good since we needed to move fast. We were literally looking for anyone to assist us in this complex process. My mom’s previous retirement home would not accept her back because she needed memory care service which they don’t provide. The whole process went much smoother than if me and my siblings had to do everything ourselves.
