"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
Our overall experience with a place for mom has been positive. The individual assisting us with finding a location that best suited my mother-in-law was extremely helpful. She listened to our needs and did an excellent job in focusing our search to only those facilities that would suit her needs. I am though overwhelmed with emails, Sometimes up to three a day from a place for mom. This is too much outreach from the organization. Once maybe twice a week would seem to be sufficient to provide me with any updated information or reminders.
I was interested in having a more personalized approach to finding a place for my mother-in-law. And we did have that personalized experience.

Having found places in a small town for my parents years ago wasn't difficult because there were just a couple places to choose from.
However, in a large city with many suburbs can be a totally overwhelming experience. So when it came time to find a facility for my spouse I decided to ask for help. A Place for Mom cared about us like we were family! They asked about our needs and recommended enough facilities to give us a choice. After seeing two of their choices we chose one that is perfect for our family. I highly recommend their services. Caring, supportive and professional people! Thank you!

We suddenly found ourselves needing to find a new facility for mom after her health condition changed. I had to quickly find a place that would provide the appropriate level of ongoing care that was affordable. The options the hospital recommended were sad and depressing. Amy at A Place for Mom steered us in a better direction, providing options that were much more agreeable for mom and me.
I needed some direction from someone who understood the various levels of care that different facilities provided, had an idea of what they charged and knew what type of accommodations they offered. We were faced with finding a assisted living place for my friend. Not knowing where to turn, an add appeared for A Place For Mom. They gave us many choices from which to choose, making our selection much easier...we didn't have a good idea of where to turn. They kept on top of our search, letting us make a final decision that worked out best for our friend.
Sunrise of North Wales had many young people working with the older folks. It seemed like a nice fit for our friend. Its larger rooms wee accommodating for more furniture (like a recliner) than several of the other places we visited.
When I found that my 91 year old mother-in-law was being discharged from rehab in 7 days, I was panicked! We had expected her to remain there for another month and had not yet formulated a plan for the next step. I recalled having seen an advertisement for A Place for Mom on TV and called right away. I spoke with Emily, who was awesome. I quickly felt less anxiety and began to feel like we would be able to find a place for her with the very short timeframe we were working with. Emily provided recommendations of places that may be appropriate for my mother in law and provided insight in to the process and what to expect. I feel that the help I received from A Place for Mom enabled me to find a great place for my loved one!

I appreciated some of the info I received online. Darlene Thom was an easy contact to work with. However, because I had already done so much research, and our parameters were very specific, a lot of the information did not work for us. I believe this program is aimed more to people without a lot of resources in their communities.

I needed to find a place for my brother to go after he was discharged from the hospital. The gal I talked to listened to my situation and within about an hour I had multiple locations to review & she even set the appointments for me. She addressed all my questions & followed up several times to make sure everything was going well.
After trying to do this myself, I remembered seeing something on tv so I called & they didn’t disappoint.
I highly recommend them for anyone who needs help navigating their special situation.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I answered the call from "A Place for Mom" with Matt Corley but he was very informative, helpful, and encouraging. He asked questions and listened to what our needs were and sent a great list to get started with, which got the process looking at places started. I really appreciated that there wasn't any sales pitch/push, just helpful information. And one of the places turned out to be exactly what my Mom likes. Thank you so much Matt!

As soon as I contacted A Place for Moms, I was connected with Diba. Diba made a couple of suggestions on facilities that would be ideal for my mom and one did indeed meet (even exceeded) our expectations. We were able to move my mom in immediately upon release from a skilled facility where she was receiving therapy. Diba made sure to keep in contact daily and followed up after our selection. After attempting to find places on our own, we realized how big the search would be and knew then that we needed help from a professional with the knowledge on how the system works.
They gave me options and advice when I didn't know what options were available. I needed to place my father in a new facility without any notice. One of the recommended facilities ultimately admitted my father in just 5 days. They worked with me over the weekend and while I was on vacation. They were fantastic!

A Place for Mom was easy to work with and we were quickly able to tour facilities in our price range and with the amenities we were looking for and make a decision. It took us only 3 days to find a great location for my 86 year old aunt. She is moving in this weekend.

I can't say enough good things about Virginia! She listened to all of my concerns and needs for my loved one! She set up tours and honestly the first one we visited was the one! She encouraged me to tour all of them just to be sure, they were all amazing and all met our needs so it was a hard decision but she helped us choose the one best suited for our needs. When suddenly needing 4 to 6 weeks of respite for a non-weight-bearing ankle surgery, I called A Place For Mom. Heather was wonderful in finding a place for me to park myself where I would be safe and comfortable. She kept in contact till I was satisfied with the placement and could not have been more understanding and helpful.
I had heard and read about this company, and thought I’d give it a try. I was desperate because surgery was happening in five days and I could not return to my home where there are numerous steps.
My search for an assisted living facility had already begun when a fall made the search time line shrink.
