"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.

My husband was very ill and in decline to the point of needing hospitalization. I could not care for him any longer. Melanie at APFM was so helpful and knowledgeable, narrowing the search down to just the places that could provide care for my husband. I did not have the energy, time or knowledge to research all of the places in the area.

When I contacted a Place for Mom, and I was contacted back I had no idea that I was being roped into a system where I was trapped into using their services in terms of referral. I was searching for help in my journey to find assisted living and simply by having a conversation with someone who I did not realize I was looped in with, committed with in terms of receiving referral I took the call. Then in more personal search I found a more correct source for me. That other source was the help for me, yet A Place for Mom got all the credit for nothing. Not correct at all and off putting.
I was investigating resources I did not 'choose' them ever and the fact that they get the referral is just bad business. I choose whom I want to receive help from not an automated oversized chain that attaches to referrals as a means to make money.

I suddenly and unexpectedly needed an immediate assisted living placement for my partner. I had no idea of what to do/where to start. A Place for Mom saved the day. Within minutes, they provided me with a list of possible facilities meeting my requirements, arranged tour appointments, and continued follow-up. I was able to arrange a placement almost immediately at Meadowview in Johnston, Iowa. It has turned out to be a perfect match for me and my partner. I didn't know the facility existed until I was referred by A Place for Mom. A Place for Mom saved the day/my sanity. I'll forever be indebted!
She set up all the appointments for me. I was a mess trying to make decisions about where my husband would go. Jenifer assured me everything will be okay.

I called A Place for Mom when my mother in law needed help after a fall. They quickly put me in touch with home health care providers. They also asked me questions about locations and sent me some suggestions for assisted living places for me to visit and tour. The person who was assigned to help me was very kind and called to check on me and see how things went. I liked how they had information they could share with me.
A friend of mine recommended them to me.
This service suggested to me 5 recommendations for my allowed budget and desired zip codes. Ms. Drury understood my personal needs without being too intrusive. I highly recommend this service to anyone searching for an independent senior living facility. I have successfully found the perfect place to live and have already signed my lease. I never heard of "A Place For Mom" until I started to search on the internet for senior living options. I am so grateful that I found this service. This web page certainly caught my eye and if you are looking for a senior living option, this is a must and you will be happy that you did.

A Place For Mom contacts were pleasant and provided helpful direction which led me to Willow Grove, in Matthews, NC. The personnel at Willow Grove were equally very friendly, answered my questions, and helped me to see that Willow Grove was a good fit for me.
I wanted the broadest opportunity to reach out and find a place that would get me close to my family as well as to provide a quality of life that would keep me active and in a friendly, affordable community.
A Place for Mom is not only for Mom's. My Father was coming to a time in his life where he could no longer take care of himself, and was too much for family members as well. We had heard that A Place for Moms actually could help us with "Dads" as well. We gave them a call, and they were pretty amazing. They let you know right up front, it won't cost you a dime. Tell them what you are looking for, and what your situation is, and they pretty much take it from there.
We received several calls within that day and week to begin our search. Several different places reached out to us and described their services and set up tours, from within the same day, or any time during the upcoming days. We went on several tours and were able to choose the best one for our Father. During that time, A Place for Mom continued to keep in touch and offer their assistance. We finally decided on a location, and A Place for Mom was extremely helpful... Would highly recommend!
We had heard good things about them, and heard that they "may" help with Dad's also. Figured it couldn't hurt to ask... what a great choice!

I was able to get an appointment at a senior living facility for my mother right away. Within a week a decision was made and she moved in a couple of weeks later.
I did not want to do all of the research for my self and the service is free.
