"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
We were given only 2 days to find a new place for my husband. Chris provided us 5 to 7 places with scheduled tours at 3. He ranked them and provided maps to the site. After visiting about 5 of the facilities, we selected the first.
I have known of A Place for Mom for many years, so when my son found it on the internet we were happy to use it.
I did not expect any help st all because of our limited budget - I was wrong! It was such a nice surprise - they got the job done for us and even placed my mom despite our budget! I am thrilled with the service.
Mom was lonely living in her own home. Her home was to much for her - my sister and I work together and could not be there for mom all the time - we needed help.
Eric gave Great service with compassion and eye for details. Listened to my story and know what was needed.
I needed knowledge of a place for my 91 year old father that did not want to suck every last penny he had and would treat him like a human being. Not a person that gets over looked. My father is my world and since I cannot take care of him myself, I need a place that gave him the dignity he deserves and needs.
I know that there's a lot on the website, but there's just so much there. I really feel like my best help was from Rob Icard over the phone. Rob is a good listener and navigating this whole taking care of your parents thing has been a huge challenge and stressor on me and my family. I wish we had more resources to do this.
I needed help getting a place for my mom.
One suggestion is the medicaid waiver process is complex and needs clarity. It's not this organization's job, but it would be amazing if there could be more resources for it.
I was looking for a new board and care home for my dad. I wanted a private room, close to my house and within budget. Nick from a Place for Mom was responsive, found what I needed, and followed up through the process making sure all my needs were met. Awesome job! Thank you Nick. My dad settled into his new place and is happy!
Ease of finding a residential board and care for my dad. Great support and follow up from this organization.
After dealing with social workers and case managers that were not helpful at all in helping to place my brother. They were only concerned about the last day that he was supposed to leave, and collecting 300.00 a day after his 20 days of rehab.
Because of their willingness and sincerity in helping me find the right place for my brother.
This is the second time I have used this service. Both experiences have been fabulous. Super kind, caring, informative. Really helped me look at a lot of great options. I am very appreciative and would highly recommend A Place for Mom.
I used it 3 years ago with the same amazing results.
A Place for Mom saved me! I had to find a memory care facility for my 94 year old mother in a short period of time after she broke her arm and went downhill in the hospital and rehab. I was trying to look on my own and not having any luck (and I was distraught because before this I had been taking care of her at my home for years).
A Place for Mom sent me numerous options right away and set up the tours for me! I found a great place right away and mom is very happy there!
From the moment I asked for help within an hour I received no less than 12 calls repeatedly trying contact me from homes that did not meet the criteria I had specified. Then trying to contact two of the homes multiple times to arrange a visit but no return calls. The result was deciding from the three homes who were responsive. It just seemed like the only thing A place for Mom did was call everyone or send an email blast to everyone in the geographic area to have me contacted. And it just seemed like the ones that did contact me were desperately looking for new people to feel rooms.
A wonderful lady at the VA suggested and made the initial calls for me to A place for Mom after that A place for Mom took over. Not the best experience for me
I was very pleased at a difficult time. My sister was forced to move from her independent living senior apartment when the property was sold. I needed her residence close to mine and ended up moving her to "A Place for Mom"'s first recommendation. They could not have been more helpful.
Had heard advertising on TV
I needed to find somewhere for my aunt who has advanced dementia because she could no longer stay at the current home since she was running out of money. I finally found them online and was able to find her somewhere within 3 days. My rep was helpful in getting things pushing when it felt like it was stalling.
I randomly found them online after doing a nursing home search on google.
I want to thank A Place for Mom for guiding us through a hard decision. Your assistance in scheduling tours and finding appropriate places to choose from. Kelly was fantastic and informative. She was always available for our questions. We chose Atria Senior Living. A beautiful new home for our Mom
When I called A Place for Mom, Brian Baugh answered the phone immediately and gave me his undivided attention. I explained that I was urgently seeking a memory care facility for my mother. He gathered a few details from me, including our price range, and told me someone would be getting in touch with me. In under an hour, I was contacted by Alma Macy who provided a curated list of memory care facilities in the communities I specified. All of them were within my price range and I was able to easily set up tours for the very next day. Within two days, my family and I were able to tour and select a wonderful facility where my mother now resides. Alma was with me every step of the way sending informative text messages and emails and ensuring I had everything I needed to make the best choice. I would recommend A Place for Mom to anyone seeking a facility for their parent(s). Thanks to their network, experience, and responsiveness, a challenging situation was resolved within a few days.
I was referred to A Place for Mom by a social worker at Sharp.
Everyone was helpful. They were every bit interested as we were in finding a place. We were just a phone call away. They were very informative about the process and programs available to us. Pleasant to work with. If you're looking for elderly health care services talk to them.
The hospital recommended them. This was our first experience looking for caregivers.
This service is awesome. So much great information and helpful people. Don't know what we would have done without it.
I asked for information and find them and so glad I did
I was having a problem finding a suitable place for my sister who suffers from dementia. Marie recommended several residences and I went for visits. She followed up all along the way and helped me immensely.
I saw advertisements.
I flew from out of state when mom had a stroke, and before I even saw her I contacted A Place for Mom and got them going on a search. We had appointments booked in hours, and a place selected in days. Their online tracking tool helped me keep everything straight. Wonderful service, and we were very well cared for!
Heard about it from a friend, and it was first up in google search
I enjoyed my initial conversation. Appreciated the speed appointments were arranged. Found exactly what I was looking for on my second appointment. Highly recommended!
Liked the TV ads.
Through out the process of finding the perfect place for my 97 year old dad, the Senior Advisor was extremely helpful, patient and caring. Although my dad was not quite ready to make the advisor reached out to me every few weeks to see how things were going and to offer assistance. I was very pleased with the help and guidance provided by A Place for Mom. Moving an elderly parent is hard on everyone but our experience was made much easier with the compassion and help of our Senior Advisor.
A friend recommended A Place for Mon.
Jason was able to walk me through the process, saving me lots of call and steps. Mom eventually chose to stay at the rehab/long term facility but truly A place for Mom made us feel more confident about the choice.

I needed to find a place for my younger sister who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's about 8 years ago. She is married and her Husband has been caring for her. He is 81 years old and she is 72. I could see that this was beginning to affect his health and it was time to change things up. As one facility director said to us. It is time for him to back to being her Husband rather than her caregiver. A Place for Mom was so helpful in giving us a list of facilities with good Memory care units and with good track records in our area. There are so many facilities here in South Florida that you need a guide to eliminate the lesser rated ones. They gave us 5 names and I visited them all. They were all nicely appointed, all roughly the same price, but you have to go there, see the rooms and feel the vibe of the place for yourself. We wanted something nice, but not like a high class hotel. Something with a more Homey feel and the residents engaged, laughing and talking, etc.
I had heard of it and thought it was just what I needed to help with the search. Years ago I went through this process with my late Mother-in-Law. Her sister and I must have visited 10 to 15 places down in the Deerfield Beach area of Florida and it was grueling. We never did find a place, because she developed heart problems and passed, but the guidance from A Place for Mom was so helpful this time. They truly do fit a need.
Lisa was absolutely amazing and so patient with me. I was looking for a place that would accept Medicaid and she gave me places that I never would have found on my own. She kept checking in to make sure I saw what options were available and really cared about what was going on. She is absolutely the best!
I needed someone who could help narrow down my search and possibly find options that I didn't see.
My family member who was widowed and had no children was recently diagnosed with dementia. We live about 9 hours away but were the closest family member in both distance and relationship, so we needed to find suitable assistance for his care.
I co rates a Place for Mom and spoke with a dept who was very patient and answered several of my questions while offering a variety of alternatives.
I was extremely pleased with the services and was able to find the services that fit best for our family member.
I submitted a Google question for the area and chose several to contact.
While living 2000 miles away from my aunt, I wanted to make sure I researched many independent living facilities that could fulfill her needs before making the trip. My advisor (Mike) was very helpful in lining up numerous options and helping me to narrow the choices. My aunt is very happy with where she is living now.
They were able to help me narrow down the numerous options available and really did a lot of the legwork for me.
Susan Waller was a Godsend! I was fortunate enough to be put in touch with Susan when I called for some information. She was amazing. She helped me navigate the numerous options and narrow down the properties that fit our needs and budget. She even scheduled the tours. We found the right fit and were able to get my mother in law moved into a community that she's loving.
