"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
Susan Waller was a Godsend! I was fortunate enough to be put in touch with Susan when I called for some information. She was amazing. She helped me navigate the numerous options and narrow down the properties that fit our needs and budget. She even scheduled the tours. We found the right fit and were able to get my mother in law moved into a community that she's loving.

Spoke with Sam minutes after submitting my request and he was able to connect me first with Assisted Living options, then in-home healthcare options. This saved me time, money, and energy from having to do all the research myself.
A Place for Mom helped me and my family find in home caregivers for my father during the last 3 months of his life. They connected me with several agencies that could offer the high level of hands-on care that he needed. I was able to interview 5 different agencies before choosing the provider that worked with my Dad. A Place for Mom and the agency they helped us found allowed us to keep my father at home during the end of his life, surrounded by his children, familiar voices, and high-quality care givers.
I heard about them from advertising.
As it turned out, we had to move quickly to get a family member placed; those were just the circumstances. A Place for Mom got back to us promptly with a list that gave us an excellent choice of places within our area and price range. The placement went perfectly, and we couldn't have done it without your agency.
I heard about it from my wife.
The woman that worked with me was so patient. She never gave up. Set up every tour for me and checked back to see how it went and was interested in my personal opinion of the place I toured. She suggested places that I didn't know about.
Visited a new place in my area and informed they were represented by Place for Mom. Sometime later I called the number and was lucky enough to be paired up with the person I spoke about.
A Place for Mom was able to help find an assisted living facility for my father in 3 days that fit his needs and I was comfortable with.
I did not know where or how to start looking for an assisted living facility for my father.
Laura, our advisor went above and beyond to find a group home for our father in a crunch time situation. She communicated frequently with us to make sure are needs were met.

There are so many different things to understand and consider as my father's needs changed after his most recent stroke. A Place for Mom offered reassurance and thoughtful support while offering a wealth of resources. My advisor, Jody checked in with me to see how things were going and was easy to reach as new questions came up. I couldn't be more grateful for her help to find a memory care unit that would be a good fit for my father's needs. We looked at several different options - some that were on the list she provided and some others that were not. We ultimately went with one from the list and were reassured to know that it was a facility they recommended. He's been there for about a month now and it's going very well. What a relief!
We weren't sure where to start, so I took the advice of a friend - "Don't recreate the wheel. Others have already done all of the research. Rely on the people who know all about this already." I had seen the commercials for A Place for Mom and it was clear that they were exactly the kind of resource my friend was talking about.
I was working with Angie Byron and I cannot express how helpful, supportive, patient and knowledgeable she was. I was under a time restraint with finding help for my Mom. I had 4 places to look at in under 24 hours. I was so lost. Had no idea where to even start and Angie pointed me in the right direction. I found a wonderful place for mom to go and Angie is still checking in on us..
I saw the ad on TV. Had no idea where to even start with the process. A Plce for Mom really came through.
As a RN of 30 years finding a facility close by and appropriate accommodations was very high in my list! A place for Mom assisted me to find facilities within a 15 radius to my home that meet our needs for my mother in a very expedient manner. Try not only helped locate the fact arranged tours within days and my mom was able to be place by the end of the week which alleviated my fears of not being able to provide 24 hour care to my mother in a safe manner. No place is home but my mom has settled into her new place and actually recovering better than she did at home. Thanks to Ms Karen for her quick response to my email and helping me and my sisters secure a room within 1 mile of my home and I get to see my mom everyday and even have supper with her some nights.
Matter of convenience because I work full time 5 days a week and could not make all those calls and still have time to work. I also have read reviews of the great job they have done for other families and they were recommending me from my mother’s hospice social worker.
I did an interview of what my parents needed. They create a profile which is useful and shared with facilities so that you don't have to retell the story. You then schedule a visit with the facilities. That's where "A Place for Mom" stops.
What I had to learn on my own was extensive: Definitions of Independent Living, Assisted Living, Pallative Care, Long Term Care insurance, Veterans Aid & Attendance. Ask about transportation, in-facility care, meals (or meal allowances) vs. costs, non-refundable "community charge", rent increases, notification of leaving, waiting lists, pets, smoking, parking, second resident fees, grills on balconies, cable/internet, community vs. list of activities (do the seniors interact?), gardening, field trips, shopping, in-facility doctors/nurses/beauty parlor/scheduled care.
My company recommended them as an employee resource.

The lady that helped me was soooo helpful. Hospital's sometimes do not even give you a warning when they will release your loved one, and that becomes a precarious situation when that person cannot take care of themselves. To this day I ask myself: What if my mom would have been all by herself? Good luck we are done goodbye? The case manager at the hospital gave me a number and what a godsend. Multiple locations for ALF's were given with contact persons.48 hrs later all was set, and we had a solution to a situation that seemed dire. Thank you again.
I believe the big man upstairs had a hand in it. :)
Not knowing where to begin a place for mom was extremely helpful. I received names of places that I did not know existed. It gave me choices and comparisons I wouldn't have otherwise had. Would definitely recommend!
It lucky came up in a google search.
Laura is such a.kind person. She has moms best interest at heart ALL the time. This profession is PERFECT for her! I welcome her to call or visit mom anytime! She like family. You have a jewel. Please treat her like one! Thank you Laura!
I think it's the best agency that can steer us in the right direction.
After filling out the online questionnaire, I was contacted within minutes of completing it. I was introduced to Kelly Connors Senior Advisor. Kelly provided the information and direction I needed during a very stressful time. Additionally, she provided community resources for assisted living, helped answer my many questions about applying for senior living communities, caregiver support resources, Medicaid application process and much more. She followed up frequently, always providing information and very much needed support as I made decisions for my mom's transition into assisted living. I can't thank Kelly enough!
I saw advertising on television months / years before I needed the resource. When my mom’s condition changed, I immediately remembered having seen the ads.
Was lost looking for a place for assisted living. They guided me in helping a family member find a new home
Help in sorting resources for a new space to live.
This free service is a great way to start the search process if your elderly relative needs additional care. Was provided local options, introductions and on site visits that led to a great assisted living situation for my mom. Many local connections provided a great resource during a difficult situation.
Needed a starting point for additional help with elderly relative. Great reviews, local help and ease of communication were determining factors in choosing A Place for Mom.
Thank you to everyone that assisted in helping our friend find a good place for her to go. I know she was a little stubborn but everyone was. Very patient with her and we are so grateful for everything! Thank you. 😊
We were referred to by St Ann's.
I had several very nice discussions with Maricel over a two or three year Period. Initially, I was just gathering information for future use. Recently, I settled upon Legend in Lancaster Pennsylvania. Planning on moving in that facility in July 2024.
Discovered on internet site.
I had dealings with Amanda and I just can't say enough about her. She is a very kind person that looks out for your best interest. She guided me throughout the process of finding a suitable place for my parents. I would've never known what to look for in my search without her I would've been very lost, and I believe that everything worked out perfectly with her help.
They gave me 3 places to look at for my friend. I loved the first one 5 minutes from my house. I signed up with the facility only to hear that they charge the first month as a fee for using this service. I did not know the facility pays so much when I did all the running around. That is way too much money charged for their service. Would not recommend this to anyone.

For a senior looking for independent living these guys at "A Home for Mom" are the very best. They work with you to find what you can afford and where you want to be very quickly. Every question is answered professionally and I am loving the life they found for me.
There was a concentrated effort from Deserie until I indicated we placed my husband in a facility she sponsored. End of year Quotas. I haven't heard from her since. I guess it's all about the numbers. I expected a follow up. Never got one.Wont recommend.
Thought they cared.

As soon as we called A Place For Mom they went in to action finding our family the best places. They started off with five to check out and even set up appointments with each facility. The agent was in contact frequently calling to check on us and to answer any of our concerns. Our family was so thankful for all their love and tremendous support.
Our family did not know where to start after we were aware of my mother's need for assistance. My husband was researching on the internet when he saw A Place For Mom. He called them and they answered right away. The next day she had appointments set up for our family.
I did a google search in a panic when my father started having more frequent falls. I rec'd a call from a rep immediately, and after answering a few basic questions I was put in contact with Deb Calvano. Deb was wonderful and patient with me, explaining care and arranged tours for Assisted Living Facilities near my parents home for the same day! She also was a good resource as to what questions to ask and what to look for while on tours. It was so easy.
Deb continued to keep in touch via phone/email and text to check in for any needs. I would highly recommend for anyone unsure of next steps with aging family/ friends. Additional information continues to be sent via email with general information regarding the aging process and how to determine when more care is needed depending on your situation. I have filed these away for future reference when and if I would need to refer back to them. Thank you so much to this organization for helping during a very stressful time in my life.
