"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
Had a place for Dad and it fell through. Contacted you service and received a call within minutes. Jim Hogan was wonderful. Received a call from a place that sounded like a perfect fit. Toured and Dad was placed in a week. Highly recommend.
Needed guidance after another home fell through
We were assisted by Holly over a period of several weeks. Holly supplied us with lists of places to consider that were thoughtfully created to meet our needs. She made time to connect with us via phone, email, and messages. We appreciated Holly's dedication and work ethic as she navigated us through the process of finding a suitable facility.
We had read positive reviews about A Place for Mom. An inquiry call to Faith Based Assisted Living connected us to Holly.
We needed to find an assisted living facility for our 97 year old mother in a very short timeframe and didn't even know where to start. After speaking with Ashley Erdman for over 30 minutes about our mother's needs, she identified a number of places for us to visit and even scheduled the tours for us. Ashley was extremely helpful and responsive and really helped us navigate through the process. We found a great place for mom and she's settling in well.
I remembered seeing their television ads and needed help in a hurry. A Place for Mom was an answer to our prays!
My senior living advisor was amazing and helped me find places that were excellent places and was also a great resource for information and constantly in touch throughout the entire process. We used this service for both my mother in law and mom and I'm so thankful to have the support on this journey.
I chose a place for Mom because I had seen the commercials in the past and when we used their services to find a place for my mother in law when it came to my mom I sought out their services as well. It’s important as a caregiver to feel supported as well when it comes to your loved ones.
Everyone involved was quick. Fortunately in our situation we found the perfect place immediately. Be prepared for many many calls from the various communities wanting to set you up with a place.
Very random choice
When you are "in the weeds" and trying to make the innumeral decisions necessary to help an aging family member, this service is invaluable. Timely, relevant and easy way to narrow down choices for Assisted Living.
I used it once before to find Independent Living.

This is our second time working with them. The first time was when we considered moving our mom because of care we were paying for that we found out was not occurring! They were very knowledgeable and supportive of our situation and followed up. Once we determined that our mom needed an assisted living facility, they took all our information and went to work recommending places. We had a logistic issue, which they were very helpful with as well. Every facility we contacted, responded immediately and followed through answering questions.
Every emailed link, phone number, and contact person was available on one emailed page. It was truly amazing to have everything at our fingertips.
The transition from independent living to assisted living was as seamless as possible. I wish we would have utilized A Place for Mom when we selected independent living because we would have made different decisions so we weren't moving Mom twice.
Read about them online.
Natalie May was my representative.
She called me within a minute of my online request.
She asked relevant questions and gave me a complete list of facilities which met my specifications. She then scheduled me for tours of the chosen facilities. She followed up regularly.
I heard about them on a TV commercial.
Donna with A Place for Mom was awesome. She explained things, gave me so much information and tools, answered all my questions, gave me suggestions, and sent me information on some places to look at for my mom. I could not have done this search without her and greatly appreciate her help, and A Place for Mom. Wonderful company and very kind caring people!
I found it while looking online for different places in my area.
A Place for Mom quickly and thoroughly assessed my parents needs, and sent quality options for us to tour. We found a place the same day the phone call was made! This is the second time I've used this service and would recommend it to anyone needing assistance.
I put in a request to get some recommendations for a memory unit for my mother in law. Due to the fact that she was being forced from where she was currently staying, I needed help fast. I spoke with Daniela Leone who was amazing. She put us in touch with several facilities, and even got us in for a visit the same day. We were able to reserve a spot right away and she followed up with us several times after just to make sure everything was running smoothly.
Heard about it on the internet
Why does a place for Mom look to get commission even though we didn't call them for this move. They already got paid when I moved my Mom with their help. Seems that now they feel they should get commission for every move going forward.

This is the 2nd time. I have reached out to A Place for Mom.
My Mom is presently living at a facility that they found for her almost 4 years ago and she loves it there. Now I contacted them because of change in my mother's income and a possible future move.
A Place for Mom is a very helpful service and very willing to search for specific places in the areas requested. They will schedule tours, answer all questions you might have and also connect you to other sources of information.
I always mention A Place for Mom to friends and family and now leaving a review
Aside from knowing next to nothing about how to even begin to look for the appropriate assisted living for my mother, we live out of state from her and have no knowledge of even what was available. A Place for Mom organized all the info from finances to what her unique needs and preferences are. They connected us to Assisted Living places close to her that met her criteria. We did virtual tours and spoke to the managers of 3-4 places. In the end we felt satisfied enough to make a choice, which has proven to be the right one for her.
I had seen adds on TV and thought I would start there. Glad I did. They were very thorough and stayed in touch with me all through the process to check on how it was going. They made what could be an overwhelming experience completely doable.
I was literally lost as I was trying to find a place for my disabled veteran brother. His financial situation was making it difficult to find a residential care facility for him. As I searched the internet, I submitted a form to A Place for Mom. A Senior Living Advisor immediately contacted me and within minutes they helped me become aware of VA benefits for my brother that would assist financially. This knowledge was definitely what I needed to hear. I now have hope and my brother is at a residential care facility where he is safe and living a good life. A Place for Mom is such a wonderful organization and they have positively changed my brother's life and mine. I cannot thank them enough.
I was so lost and I didn't even know where to begin. But once I submitted, what I thought was an exploritory form, A Place for Mom immediately contacted me. That alone impressed me, but then working with them was so easy and they were so helpful.
I was searching online on Christmas Eve for a place for my Dad with veterans assistance. Someone from a place for mom called my brother and I right away and we set up a tour at a facility close to our houses. We had my Dad moved in within a week. This was such a blessing. Thank you!
They chose us, I was doing a search and entered some information then received a phone call.
They tried very hard to help me find help and support for my 90-year old dad. We did settle for a two-week respite stay at a beautiful, assisted living facility. The accomplishment was proving to dad that assisted living is the total opposite of nursing home (apples and oranges!). Alas, we just couldn't come up with the finances to be a permanent resident. But they tried very hard to help me find something! I didn't feel quite so alone. All efforts were greatly appreciated.
I was becoming desperate in finding some help with my 90-year old father. Lots of internet research made A Place for Mom the easiest to initiate contact.
At the beginning of the search, our advisor listened to exactly what we needed and gave us placement options based on those needs. Chris, listen to everything that we needed and followed us through the entire process until we got our family. Member moved and settled. It was a great experience with Zero concern with the advice given to our family.
We contacted A place for mom because we had used them in the past and the information and support given was exemplary. The advisors are so helpful and feel like a family member really trying to help fulfill a need.
Jody Matheny, my representative, was a wealth of information. She set up appointments with facilities in the area. Not knowing where to start, I was relieved to have an experienced person who was able to bring up ideas and solutions I didn't even know I was looking for.
I had heard they were a reputable source for assisted living, memory care and nursing facilities.
Steve, from A Place for Mom was awesome to work with. He listened to what I wanted for my mom. He then provided a list of three Assisted Living facilities for us to take tours on. He even set up the tour times for us. We liked all three, however, there was a smaller facility that he had spoken about, but we hadn't toured it yet. So, after talking to Steve, he set up a tour for us and after going there, we knew it would be the best Assisted Living Facility for my mom. It is small (only 40 units), so the dining room isn't really big, and it looks more like a home type setting. The facility was very clean, and the staff was great to work with as well. Steve has follow-ed up with me since my mom has moved in there to ensure whether it was a good fit for her or not.
I chose A Place for Mom based on commercials that I saw on TV that has helped others help to place their parents in an environment that works best for them.
We had a hard time finding help and not sure how we got connected with a place for mom, but just out of the blue we got what was needed and with no strings attached. Never had a problem and they listened to our needs and more. Sometimes we just need someone to talk and they get a 5 star from me
I don't remember how we got connected but I know there are a lot of good people and organizations out there. Thank You and may God Bless you and your organization
My family needed to find a place quickly for my husband who could no longer live in independent living.
Danielle O`Malley gave us a list of places that we found suitable on the first try. Unfortunately, my husband needed more care than we originally thought but each time we contacted A Place for Mom through Danielle we recieved good reliable information quickly.
I had used A Place For Mom when looking for the Independent living place that my husband went to a few years ago.
They were able to find a place for my 92 year old mom that was 3 years old, very clean, very modern, assisted living with a semi private apartment.
I wish to thank them for their support in this difficult time as my mom could no longer live by herself, then lived with me for a year, but finally required 24x7 assisted living that I could no longer provide for her.
Many thanks to the staff at "A Place for Mom"
I've seen commercials for A Place for Mom for years, beginning with Joan Lunden. They made things so much easier! Our consultant, Dawn, was easy to talk to and helped so much. It made this transition so much easier because we didn't know what was available in our area. With a Place for Mom, we didn't need to know that at all! The gave us many options and we chose the places we wanted to visit! They called within ten minutes of entering our information into the computer! I would recommend A Place for Mom to anyone looking for help with assisted living or nursing homes.
We were in a bit of a hurry and didn't know our area very well. So after seeing commercials over the years, we decided to try them. It was a great decision!
I thought Amber from A Place for Mom was helpful and directed me to other information having to do with caring for seniors with memory care, beyond information about facilities with openings in my area. I feel like I'm now better informed about how to move forward with the process since we've made our decision on a facility, in ways like how to help my mom deal with the move and get settled into her new location, also on how to continue to be a support to my dad as he now will live at home by himself. These have been some really hard decisions to make, but I feel more confident now moving forward due to A Place for Mom listening and helping us figure out how to make the best choice for my mom.
They came up online as I was looking at websites of area nursing homes
