A Place for Mom

We were assisted by Holly over a period of several weeks. Holly supplied us with lists of places to consider that were thoughtfully created to meet our needs. She made time to connect with us via phone, email, and messages. We appreciated Holly's dedication and work ethic as she navigated us through the process of finding a suitable facility.

We needed to find an assisted living facility for our 97 year old mother in a very short timeframe and didn't even know where to start. After speaking with Ashley Erdman for over 30 minutes about our mother's needs, she identified a number of places for us to visit and even scheduled the tours for us. Ashley was extremely helpful and responsive and really helped us navigate through the process. We found a great place for mom and she's settling in well.

My senior living advisor was amazing and helped me find places that were excellent places and was also a great resource for information and constantly in touch throughout the entire process. We used this service for both my mother in law and mom and I'm so thankful to have the support on this journey.

Everyone involved was quick. Fortunately in our situation we found the perfect place immediately. Be prepared for many many calls from the various communities wanting to set you up with a place.

This is our second time working with them. The first time was when we considered moving our mom because of care we were paying for that we found out was not occurring! They were very knowledgeable and supportive of our situation and followed up. Once we determined that our mom needed an assisted living facility, they took all our information and went to work recommending places. We had a logistic issue, which they were very helpful with as well. Every facility we contacted, responded immediately and followed through answering questions.

Every emailed link, phone number, and contact person was available on one emailed page. It was truly amazing to have everything at our fingertips.

The transition from independent living to assisted living was as seamless as possible. I wish we would have utilized A Place for Mom when we selected independent living because we would have made different decisions so we weren't moving Mom twice.

A Place for Mom quickly and thoroughly assessed my parents needs, and sent quality options for us to tour. We found a place the same day the phone call was made! This is the second time I've used this service and would recommend it to anyone needing assistance.

I put in a request to get some recommendations for a memory unit for my mother in law. Due to the fact that she was being forced from where she was currently staying, I needed help fast. I spoke with Daniela Leone who was amazing. She put us in touch with several facilities, and even got us in for a visit the same day. We were able to reserve a spot right away and she followed up with us several times after just to make sure everything was running smoothly.

Why does a place for Mom look to get commission even though we didn't call them for this move. They already got paid when I moved my Mom with their help. Seems that now they feel they should get commission for every move going forward.

Aside from knowing next to nothing about how to even begin to look for the appropriate assisted living for my mother, we live out of state from her and have no knowledge of even what was available. A Place for Mom organized all the info from finances to what her unique needs and preferences are. They connected us to Assisted Living places close to her that met her criteria. We did virtual tours and spoke to the managers of 3-4 places. In the end we felt satisfied enough to make a choice, which has proven to be the right one for her.

I was literally lost as I was trying to find a place for my disabled veteran brother. His financial situation was making it difficult to find a residential care facility for him. As I searched the internet, I submitted a form to A Place for Mom. A Senior Living Advisor immediately contacted me and within minutes they helped me become aware of VA benefits for my brother that would assist financially. This knowledge was definitely what I needed to hear. I now have hope and my brother is at a residential care facility where he is safe and living a good life. A Place for Mom is such a wonderful organization and they have positively changed my brother's life and mine. I cannot thank them enough.

I was searching online on Christmas Eve for a place for my Dad with veterans assistance. Someone from a place for mom called my brother and I right away and we set up a tour at a facility close to our houses. We had my Dad moved in within a week. This was such a blessing. Thank you!

They tried very hard to help me find help and support for my 90-year old dad. We did settle for a two-week respite stay at a beautiful, assisted living facility. The accomplishment was proving to dad that assisted living is the total opposite of nursing home (apples and oranges!). Alas, we just couldn't come up with the finances to be a permanent resident. But they tried very hard to help me find something! I didn't feel quite so alone. All efforts were greatly appreciated.

Jody Matheny, my representative, was a wealth of information. She set up appointments with facilities in the area. Not knowing where to start, I was relieved to have an experienced person who was able to bring up ideas and solutions I didn't even know I was looking for.

Steve, from A Place for Mom was awesome to work with. He listened to what I wanted for my mom. He then provided a list of three Assisted Living facilities for us to take tours on. He even set up the tour times for us. We liked all three, however, there was a smaller facility that he had spoken about, but we hadn't toured it yet. So, after talking to Steve, he set up a tour for us and after going there, we knew it would be the best Assisted Living Facility for my mom. It is small (only 40 units), so the dining room isn't really big, and it looks more like a home type setting. The facility was very clean, and the staff was great to work with as well. Steve has follow-ed up with me since my mom has moved in there to ensure whether it was a good fit for her or not.

We had a hard time finding help and not sure how we got connected with a place for mom, but just out of the blue we got what was needed and with no strings attached. Never had a problem and they listened to our needs and more. Sometimes we just need someone to talk and they get a 5 star from me

My family needed to find a place quickly for my husband who could no longer live in independent living.
Danielle O`Malley gave us a list of places that we found suitable on the first try. Unfortunately, my husband needed more care than we originally thought but each time we contacted A Place for Mom through Danielle we recieved good reliable information quickly.

They were able to find a place for my 92 year old mom that was 3 years old, very clean, very modern, assisted living with a semi private apartment.

I wish to thank them for their support in this difficult time as my mom could no longer live by herself, then lived with me for a year, but finally required 24x7 assisted living that I could no longer provide for her.

I've seen commercials for A Place for Mom for years, beginning with Joan Lunden. They made things so much easier! Our consultant, Dawn, was easy to talk to and helped so much. It made this transition so much easier because we didn't know what was available in our area. With a Place for Mom, we didn't need to know that at all! The gave us many options and we chose the places we wanted to visit! They called within ten minutes of entering our information into the computer! I would recommend A Place for Mom to anyone looking for help with assisted living or nursing homes.
