"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
I contacted A Place for Mom to get help finding a local memory care facility. Laura Berg was my consultant, and she was a wonder.
She was sympathetic and even remembered all the details about my situation. She walked me through the process and recommended many facilities for me to visit and evaluate. She rated them and was spot on with her assessments.
I would have been overwhelmed if I didn't have Laura as a resource.
They were the first to respond to my email.
Everyone was so helpful. They worked so hard to help me find a great place for my mother. When one place did not work out-they immediately gave me other suggestions. The knowledge they had was so amazing.
From the start they listened to what I needed and what would work best for my mother. I learned so much about what the types of housing situations were out there for my mother
Immediately, Cathy Emerson called me to ask about our needs. It was such a relief to have someone to advise with knowledge and experience. In addition, she set up tours for me to see which facility would be the best for Pop. Appointments were set for the following week, she called after each
"tour" to see if it seemed like a good "fit" and was it what I was looking for. It was like having someone leading the way to help you find exactly what you were looking for. I cannot recommend "A Place for Mom" enough! What a relief to have Cathy at my side to guide me in this journey. Totally awesome and I found the perfect place that will work for Pop where he will feel totally cared for at 100 years and 9 months! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
I needed help to find a place for Pop that would meet his needs.
We had no idea as to where to start looking for a suitable home to place our mother where she could get the care she needed and still be independent. We called A Place For Mom and they set it all up for us from booking appointments to tour places and giving us all the information we needed to make an informed choice.
The social worker at the hospital referred them to us
This time, again, A Place for Mom has done exceptional for me. They have taken the guesswork out of finding a facility for my parents. If you wonder if you should call them, You Should! Exceptional counselor who wanted to genuinely assist with the best and most appropriate placement.
Previous positive experience
I have a parent who made it to 96 years of age eschewing traditional medicine. She had no primary care physician and had made no preparations for the day when she might not be able to live alone at home. Thus, it was necessary for her children to enter the picture and help out when her health took a turn for the worse.
Figuring out the options, costs, and how to approach the situation was difficult. There were so many issues for which we were unprepared.
Through voice calls, text messages, and email exchanges with a wonderful rep named Keri from APFM, we successfully navigated the situation. Today, our mom is in the best possible situation.
I had heard a little bit about the organization from a friend.
I really like the information and helpful advice for how to look for a place for senior living. So many considerations and A Place for Mom helps me know what questions to ask so I can make the best decision. Thank you for your help

Alma was very helpful in finding us the perfect location for Mom. We were very worried that mom would reject the whole idea but once we did the tour, she was sold.
The move in was a bit stressful for her but Alma gave me some advice that made it easier
The assistance, timely solution, listening and compassion I received during this difficult transition with my Dad was phenomenal. I felt like I immediately had a partnership with Christina to help me find solutions and much needed resources to care for my family. The help was timely, considerate and kind.
I heard from a friend that this was the go to resource for immediate help!
After the third eviction in less than 12 months I definitely needed the help of A Place for Mom. In my case Dad. Our culture doesn't prepare us middle agers for the quagmire of care that follows older seniors and the issues and problems inherent to aging. I became blizzarded with sales pitches from facilities and communities whose names belied their actual situations, and my APFM consultant was a breath of fresh air. I learned I could speak freely and candidly with her about my frustrations, concerns and suspicions in sorting the many choices, or lack of, available. She was always in touch, every day if necessary, and very persistent in checking back with me, following up on contacts, and discerning of my dad's needs. She initiated leads and in the end, I made a connection that finally fit what he needed. And this was during the Christmas/New Years Holiday gauntlet. Many thanks! It's such a relief for me that we found a living situation that my dad felt comfortable in.
Honestly, this wasn’t the first time I’ve used this service but I guess the third time was the charm. It might actually have been the VAMC/Boise that initiated contact on dad’s/my behalf, and they certainly came through! Persistence would be the strongest descriptor of the service.
When my loved one could no longer life in an assisted living facility safely, I didn't know where to turn. I knew I didn't want to place him in a nursing home but wasn't aware of any other options until I called A Place for Mom. Not only did Melanie, the senior care specialist I spoke with, reassure me that there were senior care facilities with memory care units located in my area, she gave me a list, contacted them and set up appointments for me to tour, ask questions and determine if this was the right place. She followed through, calling me to ask about my experiences and to see if I had any questions or if she could provide any additional information or assistance.
Finding the right place for an elderly loved one is a difficult and sometimes overwhelming process and I wasn't aware of what was available. I had seen commercials on television for A Place for Mom and once I contacted them, I felt a sense of relief and was reassured that they would stay with me until I was satisfied the right place was found, no matter how long it took.
A Place For Mom made my search for the right assisted living facility for my father easier than I expected. They answered all of my questions, scheduled all of my tours and helped me best understand what questions to ask and what to look for when touring.
I didn't know where to start, so I reached out to them to see how they could help.
I was in need of help for my 97-year-old relative and had contacted local healthcare providers with no real results. I had seen the commercials for a Place for Mom and thought I'd give them a try. Well, I could not be more impressed with the speed in which they contacted me and how they helped me find a solution. Initially, I did not think they did in home care, but I was delighted that they had contacts that I did not even know about in my area. Jon, my Place for Mom consultant, was caring and efficient. He even put me in contact with a VA support group that also contacted me. Finally, all this service and the cost was $0! I am so grateful to a Place for Mom for guiding me to a place where I can breathe a bit easier getting the help I needed. I highly recommend this service.
No where else to turn
Every encounter was professional, kind and understanding. We found the perfect place for my brother with the help and compassion from all I spoke with and met with. No pressure and always there to answer questions. Thank you to all and so grateful for helping me find a wonderful place.
I saw it on TV and called. Best thing I have ever done.
Sonia was knowledgeable, efficient, and stayed on top of all aspects of each situation. Called on a regular basis.
Lots of advertising. Very positive.
I was looking for an independent living facility and I was in a bit of a hurry. A Place for Mom contacted numerous places that reached out to me right away. I was able to schedule visits to several places immediately and in four days I selected a place that is a great fit. I highly recommend them! A painless way to make a big move!
Referred by a social worker.
I called and was contacted by Erika. She was very helpful in finding a place for my uncle. She planned all the tours. All we had to do is show up and tour the places. It was easy and simple. I would recommend this to anyone in need. Very helpful.
I was looking for a place for my uncle.
Had great support with Diane Ambroziak. She returned my calls at a reasonable time and researched places that could help me with my mom's care. However, I received a text message from someone from your company wanting information about how CarePro was working out. I just deleted that text today so I can't give you specifics. I told her they were a nightmare and I suggest you not recommend them for Home Care again. I reported them to Adult Protective Services also but have not heard back from them. The lady that text me and asked me about them told me she was sorry for my experience and I never heard another word about it.
Advertisements.
Sarah went above and beyond the services and really worked hard to understand my goals. Sarah was the intervention on my behalf. I couldn't have got through this without her graciousness and encouragement.
My daughter in-law who is a psychiatrist and lives in Tennessee knew a colleague who she works with her client.
I learned much with the articles and information shared. My worker was very thorough and did a great job relating info to the facilities I looked at and helping me find the right area I was looking for. She found facilities that had special needs for my parents as well, like oxygen. She followed up with me and the facilities to make sure we found the right fit. She was very supportive to me and my many issues both with family and personal issues I was experiencing. The support was very much appreciated!
Seen it on TV and knew I needed to start somewhere!
So helpful to get the ball rolling, setting up tours, and answering questions. Plus Josh was available when I was to talk, text, or email. Thanks for everything.
I was overwhelmed at the thought of everything that had to happen when I saw an ad on late night television.
I was at my wits end not knowing what my next move would be to get the best help for my father. I started googling on the internet and came across a place for mom. They responded right of way. Melissa my senior advisor listened carefully to the delimma I was in. She knew right of way I was reaching out for help. Melissa got to work right of way giving me hope and inspiration. Within a week Melissa had found several places to view, within that week we found a very nice place for my dad to reside in. I must say he is really enjoying it as I speak. I would love to thank Melissa and her team for caring.
Desperate to find answers to a situation that I wasn't familiar with when trying to find senior placement.

I first looked up their website. Called for to check it out. Within 5 minutes I received a second call from a local representative. She was very helpful in listening to my needs. Shortly after the phone call I received an email with a list of 6-8 Assisted Living agencies. I set up a tour for the next day with one. I received a phone call from another assisted living agency (because I had shared my Info with my first call), set up a tour with him the next day. I re-visited this agency with my uncle. This was the Assisted living agency we chose. This service was free and very helpful! Thank you!
Relocated my uncle from NJ to NY after he had a stroke.
Tameka was very helpful in helping me find a place for my mother. The list of options matched what I had researched on my own, which assured me in making a final decision. I could have saved time if I had called earlier, and have recommended the service already. My mother just moved in this week.
Mandy directed us towards Harmony at Wescott, and we were very pleased, but apprehensive. She calmed all of our fears and was available to answer all of our questions. A very special "Thank You" to Mandy!
Watched the commercials on television.
