"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
I worked with Annelle and she did an excellent job. I knew nothing about the process of finding a place for my mom to live. Annelle talked me through the process and re-assured me that everything would work out. She found places that were within our budget and scheduled all the tours. We picked a place from the list and she is all set to move in. I highly recommend using this service, especially since it is free.
I needed to find a safe place for my mom to live and knew nothing about the process. I heard about A Place for Mom through commercials and decided to call.
From my very first contact with With my senior supervisor, I receive such care and compassion! My adviser Neil listened to my long story about my mom's journey up to this point and was so caring and compassionate. I'm sure he'd heard stories from others in the same situation, feeling lost and unsure ehere to begin. He assured me that he was going to do his utmost to find help me find the best place for my mom.
I'd heard a lot about it, done some research online, and after speaking with friends about their various experiences trying to find memory care for their loved ones, I felt that 'A Place For Mom' would be the place to start.
Brian and his team were very helpful, responsive, and compassionate advising me around the ins and outs of finding a good place for my mom to get care after her stroke. Brian went above and beyond, visiting us in the hospital and providing resources to help me understand both short and long term solutions for her. Thank you!
My husband's dementia suddenly became much worse and he needed immediate placement. "A Place" knew what to do, who to call, and where to visit before before I could wrap my head around the task at hand. I am so very grateful for their intuitive help, especially Natasha!
Their media advertising is quite effective and reflects a caring process. The hospital social worker was also involved in making the connection. If not for the two of them I’d likely still be flapping around trying to figure out what to do!
Your service was instrumental in finding a home for our loved one. You were able to put us in touch with an assited living and memory care facility within in our range and level of care needed.
The facility is more like a home than an institution. The staff is warm and welcoming.
Next time our family has a member in need we will definitely use "A Place For Mom" first!
We were getting nowhere with the social services team at the hospital trying to find an appropriate place for our loved one.
We remembered the advertisements for "A Place For Mom" and contacted them through the website.
Tried to find options for my father in law after an accident and losing the ability to drive a car. The people I was connected to with A Place for Mom were so friendly and helpful and we found him an affordable option within days!
It was completely free and found exactly what we needed
The help we received was phenomenal. Our laison, Lois, did above and beyond in guiding us, setting appointments, advice and answering questions. The journey has been long and hard but made so much more bearable with them helping us. We did choose one of the Memory Care centers which they connected us with and it is going well. We are very pleased and it has eased our hearts.
We quickly realized we could not manage this on our own and needed help. Honestly the TV commercials are what prompted us to connect.
The local contact received for A Place for Mom through the rehab we dealt with was fine and helpful. BUT before I got that contact, I started to filled out a website form on my father. Didn't even finish it as it got too personal and I decided to wait for the local contact to reach out. Because of the partial website form, I then got over a dozen calls from different numbers, different people, different departments in a matter of 12 hours from of A Place for Mom. It continued for a few days after that with even more calls. This was absolutely unacceptable and unnecessary given the stress we were already under to find assisted living in a matter of days unexpectedly! Other than a specific local contact referred by another health organization, I would NEVER recommend inquiring on the website!
Only because the rehab my father was in mentioned it.
Wendy Sousa was immediately on the phone helping us find a place for mom. She had knowledge of the area and options. She was central point of contact which made it easier to coordinate visits to different places for mom. Very pleasant and helpful.
Saw the commercial.
Needed to get my brother out of the hospital and into assisted living asap…
Dominic and I spoke after hours. In the morning he had interviews setup.
I ended up getting my brother out of hospital and moved to assisted living same week.
3 pm Friday he was all settled in. Amazing.
Could not have done this without Dominic's exceptional service.
Just got lucky!
I loved working with A Place for Mom. They respected me and my budget. They were polite, professional and understanding. Most importantly they let go at my own pace. I never felt rushed and respected my decisions to take a breather from time to time. They would periodically check in on me and resumed the search when I was ready.
I saw commercials for them and decided to give them a call. Their list of services seemed to coincide what I needed.
My situation is unique in that I visited 6 assisted living facilities for my brother. We thought we found the right location and moved him in. Unfortunately, it isn't meeting his needs. So, A Place For Mom helped me again to locate a memory care facility. I visited 6 memory care facilities. Wendy from A Place For Mom, has assisted me with both searches. I know that we will find the right place for my brother to continue to have the best care and quality of life possible.
I had used their services before when my mother needed 24 hour care. I was very happy with the place we found for her.
I'm so glad that I contacted a place for mom. Sandra could not have been more helpful. This made a potentially very stressful exercise much more enjoyable. Both my mother and I felt supported. I would absolutely recommend a place for Mom for anyone who's looking for Help for their parent.
I was actually contacted by them after requesting information from an Independent living community.
Our representative Joy is simply the best. She has guided us every step of the way. She remembers the situation, what is going on with mom, everything. Has given us tools to navigate finding a residence as well as self care for us. Always willing to help any way she can.
Heard about this years ago and obviously it stuck with me. Glad I remembered!
They are so knowledgeable and extremely helpful. And it's a free service! They set up an appointment at a facility near my home and followed up regularly during the process. I know my mother will be very happy.
It’s the only resource I found of its kind.
From the initial call, I felt so cared for and that I had someone who would help me with the process of moving my parents into assisted living. I received some great recommendations without any presure to choose any particular place or any place. I was contacted at least once a week by a caring, personable agent. She rejoiced with me as I finally chose a place and again as my parents made the move. It was a long process and I felt that I had a friend who cared about my parents and family and only wanted the best for all.
It showed up in my feed when I searched for assisted living facilties in my area and I remembered that they had been very helpful to my husband with his sister.
When you don't know where to start, contact a Place for Mom. The website is full of valuable information and when you contact an advisor, they are so helpful and understanding. A Place for Mom was a huge help in deciding if senior care was needed and guiding my family through the process.

After contacting A Place for Mom and explaining what I was looking for I received almost immediate respones by email and phone. There were 4 highly recommended facilities not too far away. I was able to schedule a tour of the 1st place on the list which I had already thought was my first choice. I was so impressed that I out a deposit down the same day. My husband will be moving in as soon as he is discharged from rehab.
I had seen many ads on TV and a friend sent me a newspaper advertisement that he had seen.
I had one day to locate an affordable and suitable place for my friend. When I contacted A Place for Mom, Angie immediately responded, ascertained what was needed and provided several places to consider. I chose an assisted living facility, Angie contacted them, and my friend was able to move in the next day. Angie and A Place for Mom is awesome! I highly recommend.
I only had one day to find a suitable place for my friend, who was being discharged from hospital. I went on the internet and was overwhelmed by the many options. I had heard of A Place for Mom and when it popped up, I clicked on it. My overwhelming search became easy when Angie took over. What a lifesaver.
Brooke called and listen to what my mother needed and started setting up appointments to tour retirement/ independent facilities. She was quick and efficient and I was able to settle on the Landing of Athens. My mother will be moving in next month.
I chose A Place for Mom because I didn’t know what was available in the area I was looking in. I knew with your assistance, I would find the perfect place.
Thank you!
All my questions were answered fully and requests were filled right away. One of the suggestions resulted in finding the right place for me. Connecting with staff at the new location was facilitated early and easily by LaRonda
I was contacted because I had searched the internet for local options. That was lucky for me.
I was very lucky to work with Marry Hammersmith from your company. She provided me with valuable information, advice and understand, I was able (with her help) to evaluate multiple assisted living communities and choose the one that I belive will best support my mother and our family.
I knew about it and it's reputation for being super supportive to family's like mine and our needs. I will reccomend them to my friends and family.
I was literally looking for a place for Mom and after filling in a quick needs evaluation, I was instantly called by an operator who directed me to a representative that could refer me to places in my area that have what is needed by my Mom. Within 24 hours, I was contacted by 3 of the 4 referral options - one that very afternoon. I went to see the spot they referred me to and within 3 days, I had a down payment on a room for my Mom. I don't believe it could have gotten any easier. THANKS!
I was (am) impressed every step of the way. Having no options to several options within 15 minutes... I am very pleased. Thanks so much, "A Place for Mom". I move my mom in next week!
Becoming the parent to your parent is not easy. Especially when your parent is living 12 hours away. My father was hospitalized and I quickly learned that he would not be able to live alone anymore. Once the hospital started talking about discharge and where he would be able to go and receive 24 hour a day care I was instantly overwhelmed. Once I filled out the questionnaire from A Place for Mom it was like things quickly started falling into place.
The case manager at the hospital my dad was at suggested reaching out to A Place for Mom because she was not familiar with facilities in another state from the hospital.
I had a wonderful experience with Steve A. He was so kind and caring and listened and helped me in so many ways. He looked and looked until we found a great spot for my husband! It's a great service with fabulous people! It makes a very difficult situation easier! Thank you so much for everything!
Heard about it on a commercial.
