"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
I have been involved with Christy Bitts for about 10 years. She helped me find a place for my mom in 2014 which worked out very well. Then in 2021 a good friend retired and needed a good place to move. Christy found the most perfect place for him and it worked out so well. Then when his status changed this recently Christy was there again to help us find another perfect place for him. I have been very satisfied with all her help and support all these years.
I friend recommended A Place for Mom years ago and they have come through for me many times.
I believe the lady's name was Angie but she was the one who came forward I think and gave me some ideas. But then I didn't hear from her in a long time but later the Renaissance called in Stillwater with a call list with my name on it and I believe it came from Angie at a place for mom. Other than that there wasn't too much interaction but she was very kind and very helpful and went out of her way to listen to my situation. Thank you may the blessings be
I don't remember it just came up on a list of places to call.
Cindi and A Place for Mom were a huge help as my family as we realized mom would soon need more care than we could provide in her home. Neither friends and family recommendations nor a Google search helped us much. Cindy asked thoughtful questions about Mom, her and the family's wishes, and financial considerations, and really listened. She quickly provided a list of 8 care centers that met our initial criteria. She talked with me about each one, adding insights from her experience, and we refined the criteria a bit. Her updated list had 6 centers for us to consider. Cindi was able to schedule calls and visits for us, so that we soon had some favorites. Cindi guided us through the process to select and sign up with a center. We were able to make an informed decision and look forward to seeing Mom thrive in her new home. Cindi is a gem to work with!
Finding a care center for Mom on our own was not working. Family and friends' recommendations were few, incomplete and often out-of-date. A Google search for our metropolitan area gave me 100+ possibilities, with no consolidated way to search by available care levels, number of residents, financial considerations or any other criteria. Cindi and A Place for Mom provided a guide and path to quickly narrow down to a short list of centers that met our decision criteria. Then we could visit and talk with them to find the best fit. We couldn't have navigated the process nearly as well on our own.
I'm spending a week at The Landing to see how I'd like senior living. What a delightful surprise!
The food is v good, the activities are fun and interesting, the staff is pleasant and efficient and
The residents all seem happy to be here!
My kids chose it for me because it is close to my son’s home in a city with which I’m familiar
It also has independent living which is the kind of facility that would appeal to me.
My case caseworker (Melanie Ramos)was utterly fantastic! Her experience was solid, demeanor gracious and ability outstanding. She guided us every step of the way during this challenging time. It felt like a trusted friend was helping us.
Someone recommended it and the response was lightning fast.
I was pleased I contacted A Place For Mom in my search for a suitable and affordable assistive living facility for my mother-in-law. My representative, Nancy, helped answer the questions I had about each type of care such as assistive vs.memory care and those places where she would be most comfortable and cared for. Nancy was persistent with her contact with me and follow up of places being considered. A worthwhile and accommodating service for sure!
My aunt needed a placement immediately from a hospital to assisted living. Jackie was great, guiding me about discharge papers and how to get the hospital to sign them, procedures, paperwork, etc. We were able to get my aunt transferred to a beautiful facility the same day. I'm very grateful for Jackie and A Place For Mom.
I had no luck getting my aunt to a skilled nursing facility. I had been trying for weeks. They were full, far away, or didn't call me back. I chose A Place for Mom because they do all the upfront work of finding the best placement for loved ones.
Magali has been extremely helpful and supportive while trying to locate placement for my patients and a family member. Magali keeps me informed of status daily. I honestly do not feel I would have had the same positive and supportive outcomes had I gone anywhere else
I can't say enough about A Place for Mom. First of all, I didn't know what to expect when I called them after seeing a TV commercial, but within the opening few minutes of my conversation with Living Advisor Kathleen Roesler-Coy, I could tell this was going to be splendid.
Actually, it was better than that.
Professional, knowledgeable, courteous, responsive.
I had some time to play with, but within three months of my initial conversation with Kathleen, I found the definitive place for my 88-year-old mom and moved her in.
She loves it!
My 88-year-old mom lived by herself in a condo, and since she had an increasing numnber of ailments, she decided it was time to go into independent living to be around others.
We were told that our mom was getting discharged from an inpatient PT rehab and we were in despair trying to find somewhere safe for her. We could no longer take care of her ourselves. I "accidentally@ called Krystal Padilla at A Place for Mom and she helped us immediately! Within an hour, she had 3 appointments for us and we were able to find a wonderful assisted care facility for her to go to. I can't thank Krystal enough for helping us in our time of need.
We were in despair on finding our mom a safe place to live and had gotten turned down by several places.
We weren't happy with my mother's current living situation. "A place for mom" was recommended to me by a friend who had a great experience with them placing their mother last year from a big memory care facility to a private home care- so I called and spoke with Mary. She listened to my concerns and suggested 2 places to visit that she thought would be great fits for my mother. After 2 visits we decided on a place that Mary recommended and we are very happy with the choice. Mary also continued to follow up a few times to help with questions and any concerns. Great referral!
Recommendation from a friend
I was able to find places to live in various income levels which was important to me. Low in come housing locations are provided, as well as moderate income housing. I did visit several of the apartments that were suggested. It was very helpful to have a list of places prepared to visit, so I did not have to do all the searching myself. Also I was informed of a plan available to Veterans to help finance a place to live. Thank You so much for that. You perform an amazing service, when people may not know what to do. Thank you.
Found it on Google and decided to try it out.
I am so pleased with the kind and compassionate service received from A Place For Mom. It made the journey so much less stressful for me to make this decision for my parents. I would recommend this service to my friends and family without hesitation.
From seeing advertisements on television and searching the internet and reading reviews.
Took a chance and called a place for mom, even though it didn't say dad. Needed to find a place where I can recover from my heart attack. Very happy to find out they also take care of fathers.
Alysha Was incredible. She took great care. She listened to my needs and found me a half a dozen places to review.
We toured four facilities in one day, two recommended by A Place For Mom and two that my brother-in-law found on his own. The two facilities recommended to us by A Place For Mom were the only two facilities worth consideration. Clearly, they have standards that they uphold that help weed out less desirable communities. They maintained contact and followed-up to make sure adequate tours/service was provided.
We needed help finding the right community for my brother-in-law and not a lot of time to do it.
This service helped me quickly find a Senior Community for my husband that was entering hospice care. Home was not an option for us at this point.
The community was wonderful in helping me set this up.
Recommended by a friend.
I have had two interactions with A Place for Mom. Both were with Connie Engel, who was wonderful.Connie is responsive, caring and professional. She heard our needs and concerns and was there to help. I can't recommend Connie more highly!
THe variety of facilities they work with.
We are very pleased with our entire APFM experience. We searched for two years to identify a suitable retirement facility for my wife and myself. After exploring 10 facilities - including some APFM suggestions - we took Tim's suggestion and returned to one of the facilities which had gone under new management. The improvements were remarkable and we moved in almost immediately. Big thanks to APFM!

I reached out to A Place For Mom about a friend of mine that needed to transfer to a memory care facility. Sarah quickly responded and helped me and my friends family locate a facility that met his needs. Thank you for your help and guidance!
I had a previous positive experience.
I have had a great experience with A Place for Mom. Jackie P. Is my advisor and she is exceptional. They take the time to hear my concerns, they look for my preferences, and places close to my home. I appreciate the follow up calls and advice given as I'm on the journey to find a place for my dad. We are very happy with the advisor and the continued help we receive.
My husband saw an ad on television and called. We heard they were reputable and in good standing.
I was informed at the last minute that my bedridden husband was being discharged from rehab. I needed to find a place for him immediately. I spoke with Scott at A Place for Mom and within minutes, I had many phone calls and emails and found the perfect setting for my husband.
I honestly just did a search on Google and this is the first place that popped up. So happy I chose them.
Looking to move Mom and changing cities. The advisor James provided me with recommendations and reviews about each location in Mom's budget. He helped set up visiting appointments and followed up with me about each place.

I had six days to find a place for my brother, who was suffering from dementia and in a skilled nursing facility. I filled out an information form online concerning where to find the best memory care facilities in my area. Within a few hours, I received a call from someone working with A Place for Mom. This organization put me in contact with highly recommended local memory care facilities and set up appointments for my sister and me to visit several that very day. (This was a free service.) Thanks to A Place for Mom, my sister and I were able to get our brother successfully moved within the six day timeframe. His new home is lovely, and we are very satisfied with the outcome of our search. Without A Place for Mom, we wouldn't have known where to start looking. Our brother appears to be happy and so are we.
I received a referral online to this organization after filling out a short questionnaire about my brother’s needs in a search engine
I had to find a place for my husband within 30 days. I chose one of the places that was recommended. I also was put on a waiting list for 2 and all were open to the problems my husband was experiencing.
I had used them 4 years earlier and had a good experience years earlier when I first had to find a place for my husband. The doctor only gave me 2 weeks to have something in place. I chose one of the facilities that A Place for Mom recommended. They were very professional in the listings they gave me, and didn't bombard me with a lot of follow-ups, leaving me to do the leg work. Luckily one of the places had a room available.
Kate was so wonderful. She took all the time we needed to discuss my moms needs and came up with multiple places to tour. She set up the tours and followed up to get my opinion. We found the perfect place for mom! Thank you Kate for all your help and understanding.
I needed help in the reaseach and saw A place for mom on the internet. Definitely helped me so much!
