Highly knowledgeable of this industry. Within 30 minutes after contacting APFM, I had 5 confirmed appointments, complete with contact names, addresses, phone numbers and a description of services available. Highly, highly recommended!
Elison of Lake Worth. FL is getting bad, The food is mediocre at best, maintenance is poor.and Sagora Corp.,the owners, does not seem to want to invest a penny to remedy the situation. Moral is at an all time low with staff and residents. I would think twice about placing a loved one here.
I was in need of some assistance and each time this organization came through for me.
I found it during research.

My mom was mistreated at a facility they promote and they won't allow truthful negative reviews. Don't use this company their ratings and reviews aren't factul.

I was looking for Assisted Living facilities for someone I know. I called A Place For Mom thinking they would be able to offer some assistance. They just wanted a bunch of personal information, and then after a long conversation, they basically told me the same stuff I had already learned by doing a Google search. They did not have a list of places which had opening, those places still had to be contacted, and when I started to ask the rep from A Place For Mom, my own questions, she just hung up. I was so disappointed, It is easier to find what you need by Google searching and making your own phone calls and sending emails. I do NOT recommend A Place For Mom.

They are selling eledery as a refereal basis. Once they put you in the system they own you and everywhere you try to move your beloved ones they are charging that facility. Adult family homes are refusing clients from A place for mom and they are charging 50% more a month to cover that refereal fee.And they call you day and night

I messed up and gave this company my information while browsing their site for services. Biggest mistake. They call at 10pm/11pm at night and 6am in the morning. Told them to stop and blocked them. They call from different numbers. Avoid!

After I recieved the intial call from them I never recieved any "help" from them. My Mom is on Medicaid, so maybe not worth their effort. Never recieved the promised call from the person they assigned to help me. No emails, and yes I checked my spam folder. Very dissatisfied with the lack of concern they promote on their ads, totally not there when you talk with them and try to get help.

I was looking for price comparisons of assisted living facilities. This SCAM of a site "A place for Mom" shows an image of a price comparison report on their website. I gave them my info and they said they would send it. Instead, I go bombarded with calls. THEIR BUSINES IS TO PRETEND THEY WILL GIVE YOU ADVICE, BUT JUST FORWARD YOUR NAME AS A "MARKETING LEAD". I think all the positive reviews here are just fake. I called to ask what was going on and they said they NEVER give price comparisons. (So why do they show it on their home page?) - STAY AWAY!

I appreciate all the info in finding a new facility for my parents. Thanks for all you've done. Top notch

We had two consultants during our search but the transistion was smooth. The information and contacts made our visits sumple. The most helpful information was the list of questions to ask. It made comparing the locations more systematic for us. We are thankful for the cheerful and thorough help!

I called A Place For Mom while looking for a Memory Care center for my mother. Leslee was able to narrow my search as my mom needed somewhere that would take diabetic patients. I was extremely pleased with the selection and was able to find just the right place for my mother! Couldn't be happier!

The reviews for the assisted living facility Ella Springs Houston TX that I pay for my mom's "care" every month should be rated 1 - 2 S instead of 4 as rated on "A Place For Mom." From my research for a place for my mom, I discovered these ratings must have a quid pro quo with highly rated facilities. No other explanation came from my research of many facilities.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t trust the excellent reviews.

Referrals to assisted living facilities for my mom. I used A Place For Mom’s info and recommendation to choose a place for my mom. I’m not a disgruntled employee and pay for my mom’s assisted living.

When I typed in the website for the first time, in the evening, I got a personal phone call in less than 15 minutes. Within another few minutes I had suggestions for places to tour, and after I made some selections, the tours were set up for me, for when I wanted to go. One of the places was 30 minutes away and I would never have selected it on my own, but it turned out to be PERFECT for my mother. Every time I talk to her she tells me how happy she is, and about her new friends, the good food and the services. She is at Crescent Place Assisted Living in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Thank you so much for connecting us.

You are so welcome and it was our pleasure to help you and your family out!
These companies supply a list for you to review, during the initial call they asked if I had found any suitable facilities and I said YES! They wanted to know the name (as this facility was not on their list) and eventually they charged the facility as if they had found this place.
This has happened twice when I was placing family members, where they charge the facility a "finding fee" when they have NOT done the research or the work which I had done Your better off to use your computer to find facilities on your own, they absolutely doing nothing to help in the search!

On being discharged from a hospital stay, my doctor told me he would recommend my going to an Assisted Living Facillity for a while to recover fully. The thought of that terrified me as I have always lived independently, in my own home for over 20 years. The Care Coordination Team offered me several options and "A Place for Mom" was 1st one of them so I placed a call to them and almost immediately a lovely woman, whose name I have forgotten sadly, offered me whatever help I might need & told me Senior Faciliies would be contacting me & again, almost immediately several facilited contaced me with offers for tours. I spoke with reps from 2 facilities and was most drawn to Marcy@ Palmilla Senior Living, who offered me a virtual tour of her facility since I was yet well. She & I talked endlessly! We talked about all 3 options, from Memory Care to Assisted Living to Independent Apartment and/or Casita Living. Because I live alone she said she could put me in touch with movers to help me pack & move me and long story short, I chose Palmilla Senior Living and moved in last week. I couldn't be happier. The amenities & help they offer their residents is unmatched in my eyes. I would definitely highly recommend A Place for Mom for self or family members to everyone!

My husband and I suddenly needed a place for my MIL and we had very specific things we were needing for her to make this transition as smoothly as possible. APFM listened to our needs and quickly provided us with several properties to check out. Within the first week we found what we were looking for and my MIL is happy and comfortable in her new home.

Stacy Scherr was an excellent resource from the southern Ohio A Place for Mom office in August 2022. She provided tips over the phone and through checklists of questions to ask different types of senior care giving facilities. She also identified financial assistance through the VA Aid and Attendance we were unaware of and have since applied for. We were able to quickly find and evaluate Assisted Living facilities and my dad is now receiving excellent care (and excellent food in the 'mess hall' a he calls it) at Magnolia Springs in Loveland Ohio. Very grateful A Place For Mom has employees like Stacy helping families at such a difficult time.

The service is free, sure but representatives are EXTREMELY PUSHY worse than a car salesmen. They do not have all the information you need to make the right decision. I used them and may I say what a mistake. They are paid by the Senior facilities and I am sure they recommend the one who is giving them the most compensation. Do it yourself!
Beware when you visit these facilities because they are on their best behavior. The Memory Care at Somerby is AWFUL all seemed great and truly it is not. Now to make a move is not so easy as they really should not be moved around.
DO IT YOURSELF!

They will sell or give your information away and you will be called and emailed multiple times by multiple organizations. This is harassment! You tell them to stop and they won't stop! The last thing someone needs when at the point of placing a loved one in a facility is this kind of unrelenting harassment. SHAME ON YOU, Place for Mom, for taking advantage of people in vulnerable situations. And SHAME ON YOU Joan Lunden for preying on people this way! Karma is a b! Tch and I hope she finds you.

A Place for Mom was able to help find an assisted living facility for my father in 3 days that fit his needs and I was comfortable with.
I did not know where or how to start looking for an assisted living facility for my father.
