"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
The staff and customer service was outstanding from A Place for Mom the stayed in contact with me and had many refferals sent to my email and cell phone. The care they showed while I was searching for assistance for my mom went above and beyond I want to thank A Place for Mom again for all your assistance Mr. Rogers

I first used a place for mom about four years ago. Recently, when I reached out to them, I was very disappointed. I cannot give them one star.
I was assigned an agent who hadn't even contacted me yet, and all of my personal information was shared with all of the assisted living places around the area that my mom might go to.
I cannot recommend A Place For mom anymore.
I chose it because it was good a couple of years ago. Now they just push your personal information without even listening to your parameters.

Looking for a living situation for my Aunt, 102yo. Tom explained the options and assisted with setup of three visits. We ultimately chose one of these three. Looking forward to an excellent living experience for her.
Past experience
The agent I was working with (DeeKenna) was very helpful throughout the process. When we had to keep expanding the area she would send me new lists and would check on me every couple of days. It probably took a full month to find a place. This is a hard process to go through, and she was very kind and understanding throughout. Good luck to you!
Decided to use your service after some futile attempts of our own. Laura was Excellent. Not to mention that she was close by. Laura set up appointments for us, gave us suggestions and followed up on every issue. She was excellent. Highly recommend both Laura and PFM..

I recently took over as power of attorney for both my brother and sister in law. They could no longer mentally or financially take care of themselves. Since I'm 71 I had no idea how to start the process of placing them in an independent living facility. A Place for Mom got me started. I really appreciate all the help and support I received from my counselor Cheryl VanderWel. Thanks again! I move my loved ones in next week to a perfect environment for their needs.
I needed a starting place.
Michael listened to my needs, budget, etc. He then set up some visits to chose from. The choice was quick and easy. Quite a breeze actually! Why go anywhere else?
I'm not quite sure of the value, or should They receive a percentage on work that the family does. After doing homework I'm not the only one that is not seeing the value.
Sending me emails and not following up with the client has no value to me as I know how to use the Internet.
Calling 5 months after my mother has passed to see if I'm still looking for a place for mom it's quite hurtful and very disappointing.
Accidental via email. I did receive a call, followed by a bunch of emails. I absolutely can confirm there should not be a percentage given on the work that the family does if my mother was still alive.
Very helpful. Essentially though I found out there is little in home care support, but that is not their fault but an overlooked area from state and federal sources.

Christina was an absolute Godsend when it came to finding a place for our Mom. We weren't sure when we would be moving her to an assisted living facility but she continued to stay in contact with us and offered support and advice. She is absolutely wonderful!

She kept us updated throughout the entire process, her attention to detail was outstanding and when we made our choice for my sister, she continued to stay on top of the whole process. A Place for Mom was a huge help in our search for a place to bring my mom. They gave me a big list of places to check out, among them Fox Trail. They helped set up an appointment and we just loved it! We had never heard of it before and thought we would have to place her in a nursing home. This is so much better for her since she is fit and active. She can go outside and they have a walking path for her. Without A Place For Mom we would not have known about this great option. It has only been a few days, but mom seems like she fits in like a glove. She is all smiles.

I am very pleased with the advice I have received from A Place for Mom. Karen Marlatt, Senior Living Advisor, kept in contact with me while I was searching for an assisted living facility. She had excellent advice and was very caring in every conversation I had with her - not just in regard to my MIL, but always extended encouragement to me, too.
