"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
When my mother's ability to live independently was no longer possible, I knew we had to make a change. The first step we took was moving her closer to me, so I could look after her. Mom was not ready to move onto a facility and that was fine. Between my daughter and I, we left Omer after getting an apartment. Two years ago I moved in with mom to keep a closer eye on her. It was about that time I went online to see what kind of facilities were out there and start working towards the next step. A Place For Mom got in touch right away. I explained that our need was not immediate, but to stay in touch. I was contacted at regular intervals to see if our needs had changed. Then, about a month ago, our need became urgent. I was no longer able to care for Mom even with part time help. I got in touch with Jill and explained the situation. She listened carefully to our needs and that we had budget constraints. Thankfully, Jill located the perfect place for Mom very close to our apartment. Regency Park is beautiful, friendly and clean! Mom received excellent care. Best of all it was exactly right for our budget! I don't think I would have found this place without the help of A Place for Mom!
They got in touch as soon as I went online to research ALF. They faithfully stated in touch about 2 years and then I really needed their help! They came through with flying colors!
I put in my information on the Monday of Memorial Day, by Tuesday, I was in touch with Alycia who worked with me every step of the way. She gave excellent recommendations and insights, Clairified all of my confusions and misunderstandings, and sent me some articles for me as a son to help with my perspective and attitude.
A coworker mentioned it when I voiced concerns of my mom.
Informative; time saving for someone searching for facilities out of their primary area. Traveling 3.5 hours it was important to have good targeted facilities to review and compare.
Needed assistance in locating areas for my brother. I had seen tv ads and thought that I would give it a try. Don’t enjoy the perpetual emails/ phone calls but that is an inherent issue in the digital age in which we live.
Everyone I talked to at a place for mom was grrr at all so helpful and caring. They helped me find a great place for my dad, where he is now more active and making friends!
I had a wonderful experience finding an assisted living facility. Dominic Gambino provided me with all of the resources needed, facility choices in my requested location, all in timely manner. The help I received from A Place For Mom really helped me find a perfect match for my mother's needs.
I chose A Place For Mom because of the depth of knowledge in the senior care field and the invaluable resources they have to guide you through the process of selection.
Jessica was absolutely wonderful. I cannot say enough about how much she helped myself and my mom to find a good facility. I could not have done it without Jessica and A place for mom.
Quick response to reach out and assist in searching for the right place. Provided good insight on the process, what to look for in a facility and facilitated the scheduling of facility tours. Offers helpful tips and hints.
Did a google search and after reading several of the descriptions decided to select them
You put me in touch with six facilities. I visited 5 of them. Of those, three looked excellent, one very good, and one good. I chose Rose Senior Living for Mom.
I don't remember - we started the process in March, and finally were ready to move in September!
Our families' experience with a Place For Mom was very enjoyable and easy. Shilah was very knowledgeable and available to help whenever we had questions or needed tours set up.
I have heard great things about this company. It saved me a lot of time making phone calls and time spent on the phone with multiple people.
I knew it was not whether my wife would need care for her severe dementia and physical infirmities, but when.
I'd been holding on with a wonderful nanny, 8 hours a day, seven days a week for about a year, and the toll on me, physically and mentally, was all of the things caregivers are told to expect.
Did some research on local facilities, and found a myriad of ALF's, nursing homes, etc.
My inquiries to some were either ignored, or I soon realized most were very high priced self sufficient places with minimal attention to the memory care area.
I'd seen some tv ads for A place for Mom, and figured I'd give them a try. Made my initial contact on line, and was promptly called by Tom Schlagel.
Wow, what a breath of relief and fresh air.
Tom went over my wife's condition in detail, and promptly, within a day, began suggesting facilities in my area and arranging appointments.
I soon separated the glitz from the reality of real memory care, and narrowing it to two, was able to place my wife in the facility I hope will suit her best.
Throughout the entire process, Tom was in contact, literally daily, and was a great sounding board.
This is probably the most difficult decision I have had to make in my life, separating from my love ot 63 years, but I could not have done it without the support of Tom and 'A place for Mom".

Wow, I only had 2 days to find a place for my mom. Ashley got me 3 places to visit and that helped me get Mom placed by the the deadline. All tours were so friendly & helpful in my final decision.
It was one that entered in my Google search & I felt like this was my answer.
Melissa Nappier made the process of getting my father into assisted living a world less stressful.
I couldn't be more impressed with the level of service and care.
A Place for Mom is a very helpful, no pressure organization, I did not receive an unsolicited email or phone call which was something I dreaded. Their advice and guidance was quilte helpful.
I remember Joan London advertising it, and always respected her opinion,
Suzanne was incredibly helpful scheduling tours and follow up in a stressful time for my family. If it weren't for her, my stepfather wouldn't be in an assisted living. Thank you so much.
I’m a retired internist and heard from patients how helpful this service was for them. I totally agree with my patients.
Caroline Ventry and her assistant, Tiffanie, were so patient, knowledgable & understanding! Caroline listened to all of our concerns and assured me they would find a great place for our loved one. She saved us a lot of time researching and touring facilities that would not meet our needs and stay in our budget. She is a wealth of knowledge and such a reassuring & caring person. If and when, we need to make any changes, we will definitely call Caroline! Highly recommend her and her staff!
Was recommended by Northside Forsyth Hospital as well as Encompass Rehab.
A Place for Mom was a lifesaver for my family. They were always there for me and helped my family without hesitation. I will refer them to everyone that needs assistance.
This was the first time I heard of A Place for Mom.
A Place for Mom is a God send. They've helped me find a wonderful place for my parents. They are consistent and always circle back to check how things are going.
I chose A Place for Mom because they’ve helped me in the past and they are so amazing.
I have been trying for several years to convince my mom to move into a Senior Living community. However, I was unsuccessful. In 2022 my mom took too much of her medication and accidentally overdosed, due to dementia/Alzheimers. I was given two weeks to find her a place to live. My mom is still capable of dressing and feeding herself. So I needed an assisted living community with an attached memory care unit because I know that decline is inevitable. Our family is from El Paso, TX and I live in Upstate New York so trying to handle things from afar is difficult. I contacted a place for mom because I wanted to move my mom. At first to Las Cruces, however ultimately to El Paso. Christian gave me several places in Las Cruces to consider. I checked one out, which was nice. Had a lot of things I was looking for. Then I requested locations in El Paso. Christian gave me three to start with. I went and looked at two. The second one I looked at was very nice. Had all the things I was looking for. Assisted Living, memory care and Rehab, all in one place. They had a recent vacancy and no waiting list. Since the location was ideal, the community was good, the staff seemed friendly I decided to move my mom from NM to TX.

Recommendation from a friend
I had help immediately and trying to place my husband in a assisted-living and was given a list and could have had much more help but did find someplace
A Place for Mom was a great experience for us! From the time of receiving suggested properties to following up after our relative was moved in. I would definitely recommend A Place for Mom!
Great reviews
They were very respectful when taking the information they made sure that the criteria we needed was fully met and gave us the providers that would handle it
A place for mom helped me in narrowing down a senior citizen place to live. Their list and weekly follow up helped me narrow the choice. They always had the best in mind for me.
We were asked all the right questions including our budget and were given a list of facilities that were a good fit. We think we have found just the right home for my husband.
I had heard of it and thought it was worth a call.
I was looking into respite care for my husband when I was going to be out of town. I had never checked into this previously and was very grateful for the information I received and the multiple places to check iento.
