"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
A Place for Mom gave me detail information concerning available options in my area with associated costs. The phone personnel were knowledgeable and courteous.
Discovered through TV advertisements.
When learning of my 75 yo brother's Alzheimer's diagnosis, we brought him back to IA from Texas where he lived for the last 40+ years. Overwhelmed with the situation, I didn't know what to do or where to even start. Asking around, it was clear that A Place for Mom is THE place to start. They are familiar with the Sr. Living Residences and the care offered by each place. They also explain other alternatives which can be considered. They helped me set up appointments for tours and continually check to see how the search was going. I would recommend A Place for Mom because THEY KNOW WHAT TO DO AND HOW TO DO IT!
Anyone I asked about Alzheimer's care told me to call A Place for Mom
I was needed a place for respite care for mom, and not only found a place for respite, but eventually her assisted living place. Really appreciate their information.
Just saw an add and pursued it.
This is a very good resource for looking for a new home however continuing to look on my own found me a place that wasn't in any list A Place for Mom sent me but I believe whenever I am not able to add my own looking they will be invaluable in finding a location for me
Reputation resources kind communication
Refreshing to talk with someone who understood the challenge and parameters and took the time to educate me on the differing levels of care/what questions to ask.

The Guy that helped me was such a big to get me started on what to do in trying to find
A place for my father he made it a less stressful process. Adam Nitkin really helped me.
To help me with questions and resources that I didn't know about
We were looking for an assisted living for our parents and the representative Adam was very helpful in setting up tours and contacting me to see how things were going.
Needed some assistance and feedback on assisted living places.
When my Dad was about to be discharged from Encompass Health Pearland, I was given a card advertising A Place for Mom and a contact's name, number, and email (Kayleen). I was then connected with Robin Vedder to select a Home Health Care company to give my Dad 24/7 care at home for a couple of weeks. Then we connected again and she helped me locate a Personal Care/Assisted Living facility. She was so patient and gracious, going over all of Dad's little quirks and idiosyncrasies. She provided an excellent short list of facilities to tour and coordinated with each of the three facilities so I could visit them all the same day. They were all in the geographic area that we were hoping for, she was familiar with the owners and their facilities and was the perfect guiding hand throughout the whole process.
I'd seen commercials before so I was familiar with the name but I had no idea they would be such a lifesaver during an extremely difficult time. With me living way out by Katy, my sister living in the UK, and Dad in Pearland, I can't even imagine what this would have been like without A Place for Mom and Robin Vedder!
Everyone I spoke with was friendly, knowledgeable and concerned for my husband's welfare! Johnathan was excellent. He went above and beyond. Excellent customer service skills!
A social worker at Piedmont Henry recommended A Place for Mom.
Pam Amico was supportive and kind, and had a great sense of humor. She made what I was worried would be a miserable and stressful experience go much smoother than I anticipated.
I remembered the commercials that would air during figure skating competitions, and really had no idea where else to start. :)
When my husband had two strokes in April 2024 - -he was able, with acute care and then home therapy, to get to a point where he was using a walker (sometimes with help) and doing well.
3 weeks ago he contracted COVID and went downhill in a few day. Lost 20 pounds and was unable to even stand.
Another trip to the hospital in an ambulance and then 14 days in acute rehab - -again!
This is the point that I knew I could no longer take care of him at home. I work full time and had a wonderful caregiver during the day but the other 128 hours a week were on me.
Not being young anymore and with a bad knee, the decision had to be made.
I felt like I was in the middle of the ocean without a boat - - where do you start - - which place is the best for him?
I remembered seeing A Place for Mom on TV. Made the best phone call of my life!
Immediately connected with the most amazing person that walked me through the whole process.
My main concern was level of care, followed by ratings, location and "my price range capability".
Not only did she provide the boat - -she gave me the paddle and directed me to shore.
I have to say, calling them was a God Send. He is now in Brookdale getting excellent care - -not too far from home and manageable.
Make that phone call and let them help you!
Just remembered seeing it on TV.
Cyndi Walkup is my advisor. She gave me a number of places to look at. I was able to find a great apartment at an affordable rate. She was a great communicator.
I really didn’t know where to start. A Place for Mom gave me free and helpful advice.
When I was discouraged the counselor lifted me up!
She was reassuring that we would find a place for my husband that would fit his needs.
Very supportive!
They provided guidance and suggestions in our search for the right place for dad, when we had no experience or knowledge on where to start.
Recommended by a friend.
I requested some information from this site and have received uncountable phone calls and texts from their sales team even when I've asked them to never contact me again.

I called them a few years ago regarding my sister that had dementia and again now with my husband needing assisted living. They were big help.
They always been so kind and knowledgeable regarding stages of senior living. I appreciate their service.
After contacting A Place For Mom I was given several names of independent living places and Debbie was very informative and helpful with following up on my progress.

Gave us a great recommendation for Monticello Park and arranged a tour which led to my friend moving in.

Streamline process
It was good. People were helpful. Baked me back when they said they would. That's all I have to say.
Don't recall.
My dad was placed quickly in a memory in May. We had toured the assisted living side a year prior. We liked it and needed to keep him safe quickly. We tried to give him time to transition and adjust but it was not working well. He was depressed and getting agitated on a daily basis. I went online to A Place for mom and answered a call the very next day. I was transferred to a representative familiar with my state and I could not have asked for a better person! Yvette was wonderful! She spent over a hour on the phone with me and within 20 minutes she had emailed me a list of facilities to review. She was not pushy and gave me time to do research. She called to check on me a week after our original phone call and we discussed my brother going for a tour the next day. She called the admission director on a Saturday to discuss my dad's situation.
A week after the tour my dad moved in to Arden Courts. I spoke with him 4 days into his stay and he sounded like a new man! Laughing and chuckling about his neighbor and telling me how much fun he is having! As a daughter I could not ask for better! So happy Yvette helped us through this process!
We had used another company last year to find assisted living facilities and wanted to try another company
Reviewed facilities that met my requests. Set up tour appointments and helped me decide which ones appropriate to tour. Very friendly, compassionate and supportive.
I had used them when Mother was living in Florida. Found a great facility for her in Largo. Again they were very helpful and could not have found it without them.
