"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
This organization did a great job providing multiple lists of Assited Living locations for my parents. They followed up often to see how the search was going. Very grateful to have their resources for the help we needed.
Researched the internet for options and threy seemed to be a good fit for my needs.
I first contacted A Place for Mom in 2019. It has been a long journey, and we left the timing and readiness to my Mom. She has just now moved to an independent living facility this week (May 2024)
The ladies at A Place for Mom have been helpful, yet patient in this process. Very understanding. Thank you for helping us get started.
We were in our initial somewhat desperate start of finding a senior community for my mother in law. Not knowing really where to start with so many options out there, I contacted a place for mom. Rachel contacted me and assured me she could help. She provided me with several community options close to home and in our price range. Her assistance narrowed down the search and made it a little less overwhelming. Although I did not answer all her check in calls, I knew she was there for me and our search. Thank you Rachel and A Place for Mom!
Our experience with A Place for Mom was a gift- We were supported and helped every step of the way!
Karen Marlatt is a superstar to us- she cared as if she was part of our family and we are so very grateful! I would recommend A Place for Mom to everyone!
Always available many helpful contacts and advice my loved one is placed now however it's never without a few bumps but they remain available
Didn’t know anything saw ads on tv thought it was a place to start
Stephanie was gently persistent through a difficult time for my family. Even when I dropped the ball she brought me back to the task
My Brother-in-Law is a Retired Viet Nam Era Veteran who only receives his military retirement and Social Security. His lease was up in October and his meager income would not keep up with the Cost of Living in Florida. I called A Place for Mom on a Thursday night around 6 p.m. and talked with Julianne, she was super helpful and within one minute of discovery questions, she told me it sounded like he would qualify for a Veteran Benefit call Aid and Attendance due to his service and mobility issues. She put me in contact with Patriot Angels who helped us with our application. At the same time, she referred me to several Independent Living places close to us. We picked the one closest to us and moved my Brother-in-Law in this weekend. He said he feels like he is living in a 5-Star hotel and is over the moon with his new living and financial arrangement. Without this benefit, he would be living in some one room mobile home in hurricane country. Thank you A Place for Mom!
I have used them before.
Overall I enjoyed every aspect of the search for a new residence for my mom. Every place I visited was extremely nice and the staff was friendly. I ultimately selected a residence that had amenities I knew she would enjoy and utilize. Some had lovely facilities, but I knew she would be paying for things she would never partake in. I stayed very focused on her budget and wanted to maximize her experience within that frame. I feel I was able to do that with Morgan's initial guidance and then by my personal visits. She is so delighted in her new home!
I wasn't sure what to expect when I went to the Place for Mom website and tentatively put in my information. Someone reached out to me quickly ( even though it was a Sunday night!) and introduced herself as the person who would assist me with whatever questions I had and could suggest places to start to look at for my dad for Independent living. Deb's suggestions ultimately led to the place dad chose and is excited to move into. I recommend A Place for Mom to assist with planning next steps for aging parents
Provided good information. Very helpful. Many calls from facilities outside the geographic area.
It popped up on the computer
Jayson was very professional, friendly and respectful. He offered a number of services, most notably a list of communities to tour or research and set up the tours we wanted. He offered helpful tips in addition to the resources provided in emails.
Prior good experience and a great free service.
Matt is fabulous, thorough and compassionate.
Thanks Matt

Sean was wonderful. There was a brief but detailed interview, then within a very short time I had a list of facilities in my area to review. Out of ~ 10 places I found the perfect spot for mom within 2 weeks.
It was recommended by many people.
A great way to increase the likelihood of a true comparison of what's out there.
Time was of the essence. My loved one had a sudden cancer diagnosis and decline
I want to say that I was very overwhelmed with the responsibility of finding a place for my Mother. My mother is very unique in the fact that she is very particular with her likes and dislikes. I filled out a form online with "A Place for Mom" and was contacted immediately by Christina Lane. She was very nice and pleasant which immediately put my mind at ease. Christina asked me a few questions about my mom and she immediately begin setting up tours for me to visit. Within a week or so, thank GOD that was able to find a place that fit all the needs of my Mother and was within our budget. My wife and I are so grateful to Christina and "A Place for Mom" for their outstanding service. If anyone is looking for assistance with finding a place for an elderly love one, I strongly recommend contacting "A Place for Mom" for assistance. You will not be disappointed.
This time it really was a safer place for Mom we needed but due to health concerns and then selling her home of 54 years, there was a bit of a wait to actually move her. A Place for Mom was there, kind, consistent, professional. Thanking the Lord for you all again!
Good experience, very responsive, a bit to much follow-up for my way of operating
A Place for Mom provided a diverse list of care locations. They sent a schedule with directions and followed up after my tours. I found a lovely facility that is in the area we desired. This service made thing flow very easily.
I didn’t know where to start the search for assisted living. A Place for Mom provided as many selections as needed to help with the search.Very helpful staff.
A place for mom, and specifically Angelique Kaczmarek, were very helpful in educating me on the various pathways for senior care for my friend whom which I am his caregiver. Her knowledge and compassion were instrumental in helping us find the care we needed and within a matter of days we found a place and completed the admittance process. We could not have done this without your support.
Basically started from ground zero and your site seemed to have the most info. Glad we found it.
I chose Julian Woods in Arden, NC and couldn't be happier. Facility is exceptional, meals beyond compare and staff and resident are so welcoming and friendly.
I chose A Place for Mom by excellent reputation. They exceeded expectations.
It was not an easy task to find a place for our mom but A Place for Mom continued to find places and arrange tours until we found a great match! Thanks to Phillip who continued to look for the place for us!
APFM was very helpful! I was quickly matched with someone who took the time to listen to our situation and find matches to align with us. It was such a relief to have her schedule all of the tour appointments for me so that I could use that time to focus on other things.
Someone recommended them on a facebook group
I worked with Thom Gault from A Place for Mom. He was extremely helpful in giving and getting information on facilities that filled our needs. He contacted me periodically to make sure I was finding the information I needed. I was pleased with the experience and feel that we found the right place.
A Place for Mom contacted me while I was researching facilities online.
