"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
We desired to move our family member geographically (& traffic wise) closer to our home. APFM got us 3 interviews to visit within a few hrs. We chose the 2nd option. Great job.
Previous experience
My advisor Matt was very helpful, listened to my needs and encouraged me that the quick search I had to under go was not impossible. Kept up with each step and answered my questions.
A Place for Mom provided lots of support and lots of options when deciding to place my parents in assisted living. Vanessa was very attentive to make sure I had answers to all of my questions and what to do next at each step.
That made a process that can seem overwhelming much easier.
I saw advertisements for A Place for Mom and then heard some personal testimonies about how good they were.
We worked with Olga from A place for Mom, which put me in contact with Yvette Alicea, to place my dad at Seaton Voorhees. Yvette couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful and informative during a rather stressful time. Time was of the essence. He was in within 3 days of touring the place. Thank you.
Pretty helpful. My agent was slow getting back. I received a couple referrals but ended up finding one in my own.
A dear friend recommended A Place for Mom. She had a wonderful experience years ago with her mom. "It's not just for moms," she told me. That led me to Justin T., my kind-hearted adviser who went straight to work to help my dad. He was genuinely warm and efficient. The first recommendation was a perfect fit and I was grateful my father was in good hands when he passed.
Friend’s recommendation
Kate Albert was very kind and patient with me through this process. The assistance was what I needed to get started on with making difficult decisions.
I had seen the commercials and figured I would give it a try.
Tailored our search to meet our specific needs. Gave us a starting place for a seemingly impossible task.
A place for mom help me find something sooner rather than later and thankfully it was not too far from my home
I came across A Place For Mom by mistake and am so glad I did! I was feeling extremely overwhelmed trying to find a nice independent living community for my mom and the lady I spoke with (Dawn) set my mind at ease. I explained what I was looking for and the price range and she gave me several to choose from and even set up appointments. She followed up after my meetings to see how they went and if I needed her to find other places. Informative emails are sent with articles pertaining to senior care and what to look for when choosing a community for your parent. It really made the whole experience not so overwhelming!
I came across A Place for Mom by mistake. I thought I was calling a senior community. What a pleasant mistake!
My personal advisor was absolutely fantastic! From fine tuning the list of places that fit my parents criteria to following up constantly, she was a lifesaver! The "MySearch" tool is wonderful, allows you to drill down into the places that are on your list, view their websites and then schedule tours. Each step of this process was so easy. Even when I had to cancel or change dates, my personal advisor was always there to assist! I can't recommend them enough to help you through a difficult process.
Web search initially but then found I liked the tools they provided as well as the personal “helper” who was always very responsive!
We have been working with Marie for the past two years to help mom get resettled into an assisted living community. She has been there to provide recommendations, feedback and counsel throughout the journey.
After seeing advertisements for the service, we reached out and were connected. It has been a great experience.
One email and that's all it took! I received several options, made two phone calls and I was all set!
Using A Place for Mom was so easy and fast. It took a huge burden off of my mind!
I love that we were able to get a variety of listings within our preferred area. We were given options in both the home-style setting and the bigger company-run places.
Our advisor answered questions and gave advice beyond just emailing these listing locations and their contacts.
We were able to find a place for my mother-in-law that the siblings agreed on and that is comfortable and safe for her.
It's a name I'd heard of and whose story I'd read ages ago. I checked the reviews and saw they were reputable.
Tamara was very helpful guiding me on what was available for my Dad and setting up tours. She kept in touch during all phases of the process.
I had no idea where to start looking for a place for my Dad. A neighbor had used A Place for Mom and recommended them to me.
From the moment I contacted A Place for Mom, my contact Jonathan, explained the process clearly and provided me with agencies straight away. He also followed up until we found an agency to care for our mom.Im happy to say we are just as pleased with the company we chose.
I had a recommendation from my neighbor.
I contacted A Place For Mom when we began our search for a senior assisted living facility for my mother. Michelle M. Was an enormous help and I am very grateful to her for all the information she provided. She suggested places and made appointments for us to tour them. All her suggestions were wonderful places and we did end up picking on of the facilities she had recommended.
The process of finding a place was all new to us and we weren’t sure how to go about choosing a place.
Sincere thanks to Susanne Yore, the A Place for Mom rep, who did such a great job of find excellent options for our family member. Susanne listened to us, asked appropriate questions, gave us three good options, and followed up as needed. This is a terrific service. And thanks to Susanne.
Reputable service.
My experience with "A Place for Mom" was wonderful from the start. They made the process a "One- Stop-Shop" from finding an Assisted Living Facility to applying for VA Spousal Benefits. I would recommend their service to anyone that has a loved one needing assisted living accommodations and/or someone looking into how to apply for veteran's benefits.
Because I was surfing the net and located the service, and what good luck I found.
After several days of not connecting with a representative, I finally connected with Jackie P., who was awesome. In the middle of my request, she interjected and said I have just the place for you. From the description it sounded perfect and met my brother where he is. And her suggestion was indeed perfect, and while my brother was balking she made sure I would not give in to his negative response. A few hours after Jackie's introduction an independent living apartment was secured and my brother is ok, moving to relieved and happy.
TV advertising and doing research for myself.
When my elderly parent agreed to move into assisted living, I didn't know where to start. The representative with A Place for Mom was friendly and provided me with a list of facilities to explore that would likely meet my needs. I was able to talk to many of them and ultimately decided on one that they partner with. They helped make an overwhelming task doable!
Debbie was incredibly helpful, and the places she referred me to were in immediate contact. Made the process so much easier
Word of mouth
I am so thankful for the support and helpful guidance through this process. I was cheerfully invited to check out several nearby facilities and the various offerings of each. We found a nice 1 bedroom apartment facility with a warm and supportive staff that will help my parents adjust to normal living after a long hospital stay. I am very thankful for the advice and compassion of this service! Thank you does not say enough for the challenge of helping us through this chapter in their lives.
From having no experience in this challenge in the care of my aging parents, friends who have been here suggested this helpful service. And now even the continued emails with advice and education of the different stages of elder care is immeasurable!
This is my second time using this service...first time for my step-father who was diagnosed with dementia and now for my mother who I want to have a more active life going into her 90's. Carly was kind, helpful and listened to my needs.
Had worked with them before
Yvette was great to work with and was a great negotiator with Brookdale to get us a the best possible pricing. She also gave me three places to visit and set up appointments.
I forget, but believe that another web site had steered me to you.
