"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
Heather held my hand throughout the process, making everything easier. She came up with great options and checked in at my pace — supporting me without overwhelming me. What a wonderful experience.
A combination of advertising and word-of-mouth positive reviews.
Tiffany from A Place for Mom was excellent on top of her job. She always follow up. Very nice, in her manner, always makes you feel important.
Didn't know were to start.
Love my 5 day new home. It is smaller than prior, so I walk, using walker, instead of using scotter!
They have helped me in the past.
They were recommended by one of the palliative nurses and I was a little reluctant at first how could a national organization help me find a good place to care for my wife who has dementia. Boy was I wrong! After the first phone call w/Bethany you could tell they were all about finding the right place. She compiled a list of places to check out even giving me a checklist of what to look for. But yet it was my decision to make. She was there for me even if it was just someone to vent to.
Came highly recommended from some of our Doctors and Nurses.
Kirsten was the best. Gave me multiple options in Assisted Living facilities for my dad close to my work and home. Helped me through every step with tons of patience and great advice. This is 1st time navigating through senior living. Also helped me with Aid and Attendance with the VA for my Dad. So thankful for her and her help!
They have the most updated information and person to contact for each facility they recommended. So helpful.
Becky was just great she did a wonderful job with helping us find a great memory care facility for our dad.
She listened and understood
You all were very helpful, Alway
calling to see if you can help us more.
Very helpful with advice and referrals. Beth was very informative
Jen was very helpful and listened to my needs. She helped me create a list of facilities and set up the appointments. She also checked on me after the tours. I appreciated her help and support at such an overwhelming time. Thank you!
A friend of mine used the service.
My mom had a stroke and spent a short time in the hospital and then in rehab. Rather than send her back home with her 88 year old boyfriend, which might have been a dangerous situation, I needed to find an assisted living facility quickly to place her when she was discharged. Shortly after I reached out to A Place for Mom by phone I was contacted by a very compassionate and helpful representative named Christine. Within a few hours she had set up several appointments for tours at ALFs in the area I was interested in. Christine kept in touch via email and by phone to make sure everything was going as planned. I am eternally grateful to A Place for Mom and would highly recommend their service.
A social worker at the hospital recommended A Place for Mom when I told her that I was overwhelmed and didn't know where to start!
I reached out to a Place for Mom on a Sunday night via email and right away I received a call. I spoke with the representative for about an hour in regards to my family member who needed to be placed in a specific environment. By the time I got off the phone I had 3 places and appointments set for me for tours. Right away we found one of them to work really well for the specific needs of our family member. What a relief!
We had used A Place for Mom a few years earlier to help find the perfect senior living situation for a mother in law.
Finding a place for our man, was going nowhere until I sought help from a place for Mom. It opened up for us places to tour, helped us with decisions, and gave us comfort. Thank you!
So many times I saw it advertised and I thought someday I may need their help, and I did.
I will put in touch with Kim, who covered the Las Vegas area. I live in Ohio and new nothing about assisted living in Nevada. Kim was very professional and gave me guidance and advice. She sent me 5 facilities to check out and one of those 5 worked out for my relative. I am so glad a contacted A Place for Mom. It a free and very worthwhile service!
A friend had used them to find a facility in Ohio, so she quickly recommended them to me.
When my husband and I started our search for a senior residence, we were overwhelmed by the need to make decisions without knowing even the terminology of senior care facilities. We fumbled around on our own for a bit and discovered pretty quickly that an inquiry usually led to a bombardment of phone calls, messages and mail. A Place for Mom was a great help to us. Our counselor, Moustapha, made everything easier. We told him what we needed, and he provided contacts and even made appointments for us if we wanted him to. We communicated through phone calls, text messages and emails and the response was always prompt and helpful. After visits to many facilities, we recently signed a contract and will move soon. We're grateful for the patient guidance.
I chose A Place for Mom while searching online for senior living. I liked that they offered explanations of the types of facilities, the services offered by each type and the different payment options. I feel lucky that we chose A Place for Mom. It was kind of like being on a dark path and getting a lantern! I'm happy to recommend them.
My family and I are so very appreciative of the knowledge received from A Place for Mom. I a very challenging season, it is so much better to have caring and understanding people help you walk through this process with much needed information.
I had heard great things about this program.
A Place for Mom personnel were always friendly and helpful. They were a reassuring voice during all the confusion and details of choosing a facility for my mother.
I received a referral email from my mother's physician.
Both Whitney and Adam were always available to answer any and all questions. Whitney Byrd was excellent, so knowledgeable and helpful. It made making a difficult desision so much easier.
We used A Place for Mom before when looking for independent living for my mom and were delighted by the choices provided. When my mom needed assisted living, once again, A Place for Mom, provided wonderful choices.
After talking with the care provider that we were referred to, she went to interview the staff where my sister was living and my sister. She decided to take my sister into her foster care home and we proceeded to move her in. Less than 8 hours later we were informed that we would have to move her because she needed more care than they could provide. Needless to say, we were flabbergasted and left scrambling to find new accommodations. My sister has literally been traumatized and we are exhausted from the ordeal. I hope no one has to go through that kind of experience with their loved one.
Thought they were a good association for the help we needed.
Very Accommodating, listened well to our needs and found places we did not know about. In fact, we went with a place that A Place for Mom found that was not even on our radar and have been very pleased with the placement.
Needed someone that could help us find a place. We had tried on our own and did not have any luck.
Never gone through anything like this a place for mom has been there. Extremely patient with me and informative. Thank you guys Soooo much for ALL you've done! Your amazing!
I needed help. They swooped in and saved the day!
Jonathan was very helpful and professional in helping me find a place for my wife.
Found online and my brother also recommended A Place for Mom.
Krista helped demystify Assisted Living to help me understand the options available. We live in Tuesday!
The Place for Mom agent, Kris took the time to listen to my Mother's needs and financial limitations. Kris put a list of potential facilities together and setup tours at all the locations. She was there every step of the way. Kris is very experienced and lead me through each step of the process.
I saw an online add and reached out for more information. When I received the call from Kris, she was very informative and was able to answer all my questions.
Our experience locating a Memory Care facility for my mom was made so much easier with the help of A Place for Mom.
I'd heard of the service from other people I know.
I didn't get the resources I actually requested and I didn't like being contacted by so many facilities. Not a helpful process.
