Highly knowledgeable of this industry. Within 30 minutes after contacting APFM, I had 5 confirmed appointments, complete with contact names, addresses, phone numbers and a description of services available. Highly, highly recommended!
Elison of Lake Worth. FL is getting bad, The food is mediocre at best, maintenance is poor.and Sagora Corp.,the owners, does not seem to want to invest a penny to remedy the situation. Moral is at an all time low with staff and residents. I would think twice about placing a loved one here.
Each Tour was better than the last, and gave me what I was looking for, for mom
I was having trouble finding facilities. With your help, I was able to find a place located close to other family, closer to me to visit also. The facility was beautiful, clean and the staff really seemed to care.

Jamie was so helpful and supportive! I couldn't have gotten my sister in such a caring placement without her help!
Referred by Kaiser social worker.

Since moving my wife into Atria Bonita she has continued to blossom in her interactions with her fellow residents. At a previous facility she was not happy and did not interact much with fellow residents and staff.

As a provider, we have used A Place for Mom in the past. Never again though! We had a client who's POA called to double check what was available in our area. The APFM rep gave her our name, then was immediately told by the POA she was very familar with us. She had actually been in our facility before and we knew her. APFM treated that as a new referral and is still hounding us for $3000 plus finance charges! They know what we state to be true, but have been flooding us with invoices, emails and calls. We have been very polite and responsive, but to no avail. Providers beware!

Do yourself a favor and make a call to A Place for Mom. Their consultants know the options in your market, take care of all of the scheduling for your calls and tours, coach you on the right questions to ask and help you sort through all that you learn. Finding a place for my mother was a very emotional and overwhelming decision for me, but my counselor at A Place for Mom led me calmly to the right solution. I am grateful for them!

I want to thank everyone that helped me find a personal care home that was close to me for my mom. When I toured it it was clean and the people seem to be happy there. It is reasonably priced every one was nice to me and I want to thank Natalie for helping me out and keeping in touch with me through the whole process as she knew I was dealing with alot of other things when I had to find a place for my mom to go to. Everyone I talked to was very nice to me and very helpful and want to thank them all for all of their help.

You are so welcome and we are so happy we could help you out!
I have been very pleased with my Senior Advisor, Lisa. She has been there all the way with my first use of APFM and now is assisting me with my next move out of state. The questions to ask and things to look for are very helpful as well as the note sheet. Thanks again APFM and Lisa. Sorry but I do not have a picture right now.

Thank you, Grace! We are so happy to hear Lisa was able to help you out.
A Place For Mom sounds all nice on the surface (and caring), but trust me it is not! I have worked in Home Health/Hospice for five years and their reputation is NOT GOOD! They get reimbursed for the first month's stay for all patients and their interest is NOT in the patient who is suffering and in need for quality service. They have a representative (Chelsia H.) who responds to each negative comment and she is only a paid spokesperson! They are not interested in your Mom's (or Dad's) health outcomes. They are only in it for the dollars, trust me! David Scott

I didn't know what to expect when I called for this service but what I got was immediate local contact, followed up by several options to explore and consistent follow up contact by the service and the facilities referred. I tend to procrastinate so this was helpful for me in getting me to do the legwork of making appointments and taking tours and doing the due diligence needed to find the best place for my Mom.
I toured five faculties close to my residence and by the end of these tours I had a clear winner and a runner up. I also had a basic understanding of the business that gave me the confidence that I was making the right decisions for my loved one.

I contacted A Place For Mom. I was hoping to find an assisted living facility for my mom to move into. My mom had a severe mental illness. Every time I see their commercial I remember what the representative said (as we were hanging up, she didn't know I heard her.) The representative was SCREAMING "Jesus Christ she's
Schizophrenic!" I called the representative and told her I heard her and gave her hell. Like I said everytime I see that commercial it reminds me of that phone call. Absolutely reprehensible that she would act like that.

Needed to move from assisted living to independent living. Place for mom found several places in the area I wanted.

Eric gave Great service with compassion and eye for details. Listened to my story and know what was needed.
I needed knowledge of a place for my 91 year old father that did not want to suck every last penny he had and would treat him like a human being. Not a person that gets over looked. My father is my world and since I cannot take care of him myself, I need a place that gave him the dignity he deserves and needs.

I called to see about finding a place for my mom. The man I spoke with gave me the name of one Assisted Living place and said he would email me with more information and his contact. I never heard from him. I called and asked if he was available, and the person I spoke with said that my case had been closed, that he couldn't help me. He never told me that though.

I sought their help months ago in finding a nursing home for my mother-in-law. Because my mother-in-law is at poverty level with her income, they said they could not help. They only help those who have money. I then asked for references as to who I can seek for help & they said they had no knowledge of who to go to & that I should look online for services for the elderly. So, with all their commercials & ads to go to them for help, they're like everyone else. If you have no money, they want nothing to do with you & you can just keep on struggling. THANK YOU "A PLACE FOR MOM"!
Tip for consumers:
If you are at poverty level or low income, they want nothing to do with you!

I am writing to tell of my very positive experience with my local advisor at A Place for Mom. We really didn't know what we should do with our Dad and I got a call almost immediately after I filled out the form. I was hesitant but this company is the real deal and truly helped us narrow down options, including the pricing and got us out to see the places. We found a great solution and I can't thank the advisor or A Place for Mom for helping us find a place for Dad!

The level of attention, kindness, treatment of there residents is just BEYOND our expectations
Our Mother was dreading moving into assisted living and within two weeks was saying she wished she had moved in there 5 year earlier She loves everything there, ESPECIALLY THE STAFF! They are unbelievably kind knowledgeable and the level of care is amazing. She loves the activities, but the staff, all the staff is what she loves most. She brags all the time on everything there, staff, food everything

One of the three recommendations that was given to us was C & J Shining Home in Aloha, OR. The care given to my mother-in-law. We are very grateful to Cecilia and her care team for their attentiveness and love given. We would highly recommend C & J Shining Home to anyone looking for a place for their loved one. CJS

Call the number and spoke to a rep. She asked me what amount I could afford and when I told her how much I could afford she advised me to contact Social Services. This place is only for the RICH and those who can afford A Place of Mom. Would not recommend to any one.

I worked with Cindy Best and she was WONDERFUL. So very helpful and full of ideas and suggestions. She was available to talk with me not just during "business hours" and that was a huge help as well. I actually used this service twice and was incredibly pmeased both times.

This place here is awesome, my mom seem to be very happy at this place. I had to moved my mom from The New Homestead in Kew Gardens, and she was not happy in that place, her clothes kept getting missing or taken and Mr. Steven his main concern is about money and thanks to A Place for Mom for helping me to find another Assisting Living.

We own and operate 8 facilities in the Midwest. A place for mom and caring.com are scams. They do not, and have never checked any of us out. They highjack our own advertising and steal the person looking to place their loved one. Sometimes people just want to check us out online but when they type our name, a place for mom takes our name and puts their phone number on it. If we dont contract with a place for mom they steer the person to a different facility. If we do contract with them the take the first months rent. We are forced to pay this company for stealing our own Referals!
