"A Place for mom" was a huge asset in helping my sisters and I, when it came time for our mom to move to an assisted living home. Our representative was knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic and showed great patience. Having never been down this road before the whole process would have been agony without their guidance and knowledge. From helpful and educational emails on various topics to supplying us with a list of properties to tour, and following up questions about decisions or additional information.
Please don't trust these people. They are all in it together. They stole all my mother's money and promised she'd always have a place to stay. They threw her in the hospital and refused to take her back into their facility when she finally got to another facility, they starved her to death. She went from 124 pounds down to 86 pounds in one month during Covid. I wasn't allowed to visit, they killed her Do not trust them they are all in it together. They act like they want to help you and they're so sympathetic soon as they get your money you can't get in touch with them.
Communities I knew were those that parents of my peers lived but all were outside of my mom's budget. Internet searches brought dozens of communities but no specific information. Kristen at A Place for Mom contacted me and we talked through my mom's needs. She provided a list of possibilities and contact information. Some were communities I had already identified via internet but others were ones I hadn't considered. I narrowed the list with my mom and we scheduled a few tours. Kristen checked in throughout the process to answer questions and offer support. We identified a community for my mom and she will be moving in this month. A Place for Mom is a good resource for a process that gets overwhelming very quickly.
Overwhelmed with choices and limited time to visit and assess all of them, I remembered commercials for A Place for Mom. As advertised, it was a good resource at no cost to me.
I'm working with Dolores Saenz and have appreciated her calls and helpful intervention with facility I've chosen. She is very understanding and so kind. I really feel like I'm talking to and old friend who gives great advice!
Internet and tv commercial
My family was suddenly put in a position to look for assisted-living for my grandmother. It was an overwhelming experience to say the least. A Place for Mom came up and I called immediately. My advisor, Carly, was wonderful! I was able to tell her everything we needed (and what we didn't need) and she was able to provide my family with options. Carly stayed in contact with me throughout the entire process. My family is so grateful for A Place for Mom and Advisor Carly. We didn't have a lot of time to research facilities individually and that is why A Place for Mom is so fantastic!
A Place for Mom is a one-stop shop filled with compassionate and understanding advisors who are ready and available to assist any time of day! This organization saves families hours, maybe even days, of work.
I recently spoke to Melanie at A Place for Mom and she was extremely helpful. We are looking for a new residence for my mom & dad. Melanie gave us several options based on the info given her and they were right on base for our needs. Great experience! Thank you!
Previous assistance was wonderful. Thank you!
Very helpful, prompt, informative and friendly. Sent me lots of info and connnected me with multiple agencies. Can give the best recommendation. This is the 4th time I've reached out to A Place for Mom and always impressed!
Reputation is stellar for providing quick acces to resources.
Michelle is an amazing in two ways 1.Her sensitivity for a persons need during a very hard time.2.Her knowledge of all the things having to do with trying to get placement for your loved one.Michelle Davey is just a very nice and caring lady.
Referred by good friends.
Between the emotion, the desire to make the right choice amongst all the implications you need a place to start. A Place for Mom is the perfect first step to help you to start filtering choices and identifying options you might not have considered. It will add some structure and continuity to your search. Most importantly A Place for Mom will accelerate your search and get you to a point where you will feel good about your choice.
It looked like a low risk place to start and at that point, I didn’t know what I didn’t know.
PFM gave us several good choices to tour senior communities, scheduled those tours, and made everything simple. We fell in love with the first place we visited, and despite viewing several others, the first was where we moved.
Saw ads on internet, and gave them a try.
A Place for Mom was the first place i called when trying to find care facility. I was given multiple referrals. After a few phone calls I was able to find a place that had the services that my mom needed.
I seemed like a good place to start the search.
I'm so glad I called.
A Place For Mom was recommended by a hospital employee. Once I reached out to A Place For Mom I was immediately taken care of. The staff was very prompt in responses. They were full of very helpful information. They made the process of finding a facility for my mother-in-law much less stressful.
A hospital employee recommended the service.
I chose the first referral I received from your service. Now I need to be contacted by your Veterans Assistance staff to answer a question about the Veteran's Aid and Assistance benefit for spouses of deceased veterans. Thank you.
From the moment I reached out to A Place for Mom until I moved her in, my representative was such an angel. I knew NOTHING about assisted living facilities or what services were available. Thom, my representative was so helpful and encouraging. Thank you ALL
I saw a commercial and so when I googled it, I knew it was legit.
I am trying to help a man who is lonely for his hometown and wishes to move to a facility in Abilene. He's a bit confused and offers some challenges. APFM has been very patients and helpful and patient.
Based on personal experience in my own placement which they ameliorated.
We were truly blessed by Dolores Saenz. I am in the healthcare business myself but was at my wits end with the assisted living place my mother in law was in! She was as much a place finder as a therapist to me... lol. But in all seriousness she made a tough time a whole lot easier!
I accidently got a call after filling out info that I thought I was filling out for a particular place. It was late and I was exhausted and actually was filling out APFM instead. It was a blessing. She narrowed down the places that would be a better fit and gave me the time I needed to check them out etc. while still checking up on the process. Dolores was perfect for me...now i am praying the place we are likely moving to will be perfect for my mother in law!
A Place for Mom, specifically Lydia Lewis provided me with a supportive listening ear and a huge amount of potential senior nursing housing options. Since May, our mother was challenged with seven hospitalizations and Ms. Lydia Lewis's continuous calling reflected her high level of concern. Thank you a Place for Mom. Thank you Ms. Lewis.
Someone told me about them.
I reached out to A Place For Mom when I was at my absolute lowest exactly 2 weeks ago. I chatted with the loveliest person, and within hours appointments were scheduled for memory units that would better suit my family member. It was overall a very, very lovely experience and here we are moving him into a new facility in the next day or two. I would never have known about this new facility if it was not for the initial phone call I made. I'm just so grateful and so relieved.
I saw an ad on TV! Had no knowledge of what services you provided prior to that call!
I had been looking for assisted living for my mother and a family member recommend A Place For Mom. Missy Williams was in contact with me within an hour of making the original request and I cannot say enough good things about her. Professional, caring, personable and communicative are starters. Missy gave me over a dozen locations to look into and helped answer every question I had, no matter how inane they might be. It put my mind at ease knowing that someone genuinely cared about getting my Mom into the best place possible. Mom made her tour, loves the place she chose to move into and she and I both feel much more relaxed. Mom is cared for and I know she's in the best place possible for her care, all thanks to Missy and the wonderful team at APFM.
This organization is a wealth of information. The staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and understanding. They listen. They are compassionate. They follow through and follow up. It was a relief to finally have a plan and people to guide me.
BayCare recommendation.
Pleased with the Assisted Living Facility that A Place for Mom recommended. It is a smaller place with fewer residents which will definitely fit my Mom's needs since she likes a quiet environment. She managed to get a nice room on the first floor with easy access to the dining area. I would definitly use A Place for Mom if I had to find another loved one a Senior Living Facility. It saved me a lot of work!
I chose A Place for Mom because it had be advertised on TV and I had really no idea how to begin searching for a home without runing around and checking all the places in the area. They did all the legwork and all I had to do was choose from the list they gave me.
A Place for mom quickly and efficiently sent me a list of resources, set up tours, and pivoted when I wanted to look at other options.
My only complaint is that 5 minutes after I finished speaking with them my phone started to ring off the hook with the facilities trying to setup additional tours. It was a bit overwhelming.

As a result of using A Place For Mom I found and placed my mother in a facility I didn't know about. I toured many homes and the one I chose was perfect for her as she has Dementia. Overall I have to say A Place For Mom worked for us. Very easy to use and you will receive many facility requests for a tour. Take the tours as you will get an understanding of where your mom or dad will be best cared for.
I ran out of patience trying to find a proper place for my mom. I just jumped in and gave it a shot and it worked. Frankly I didn't want to use the service as I thought I would be inundated with too many choices. However they did pick out only facilities that deal with what my mother is suffering from.
Searching for a new home for myself at the age of 92 in a city where my residence had been established only a few years prior seemed almost hopeless. A Place for Mom did all the legwork, suggesting only places within my price range, and selecting only those within a convenient driving range for my children. I would have spent months jusr searching for facilities instead of the few actual weeks finding a new home matching my requirements and budget. My search was made effortless in finding a lovely new home for thid next chspter of life.
Realistic and appealing advertisements
I was looking for senior housing that I could afford and I was having a very tough time almost took housing that was above my budget. But Emily called I told her what was going on and she did help me find a beautiful place that I could afford.
I appreciate A place for Mom, their assistance in helping me find place for my mom is greatly appreciated! This was not an easy thing to do when you don't have information or family support.Thank you so much.
Use them twice now for finding affordable assistant living.
I flew from Texas to Michigan to visit my mom and realized we'd need to start exploring options for her to leave her single family house. That Saturday night I got on the website of APFM, expecting an email in a couple days. Thirty minutes later I was on the phone providing information that permitted my new best friends to generate a list of 8 apartment complexes that met our criteria. Seven of the 8 answered my emails within 2 days and we visited 7 of them in a 5 day period. My mom moved 5 months later.
I unexpectedly needed help for my mother. I'd seen advertising for APFM so I googled & found the website.
