Buyer Beware! Most importantly Black Buyers beware this store is a scam! Their 30 day return policy is CRAP! AN ITEM ORDERED IS NOT THE SAME AS HAVING ITEM IN HAND! How is it ur return period starts as soon as they swipe your card! Why is it stores serving Black women are no better then crappy cheap stores? Gap, Banana, Ann Taylor are all so much more accommodating and appreciative of Customers and care about service. Ashley Stewart is only in Black Neighborhoods and Robs us! If a price is discounted online with do I need to threaten not to buy it in store unless I get that price? Scam! It's a shame Black women are treated this way by a store in our Neighborhoods! All the items that are on sale are not available to add to the cart. Then you visit the website when the sale is over then all the items are miraculously available to add to the cart. This company is a scam and I will not be buying!
I ordered a pair of jeans a month ago for 49.99 when they came the lower legs were too tight ( I wear a size 22 w) so I sent them back and received a refund. Now they went sale For 19.99 so I reordered larger sizes 24w and 26 because I really wanted these jeans to fit and I luvvved the color (foxglove). Well neither pair fit because the lower legs of these jeans are so tight and uncomfortable to wear. I also couldnt get a refund because they are a clearance item. So now im stuck with a defective item. Over the years, Ashley Stewarts sizing has changed as well as their audience. Their clothing looks cheap and now is poorly made. The majority of the clothes are too busy for my taste and do not measure up to my standards. You have lost my business and my money Ashley!
Ashley Stewart closed my account for no use of the card in which the card was issued to me with NO expiration date and or chip in it which therefor the card couldn't be used online. I called several times in reference to this and I was told that a new card would be issued to me with this information on and and they apologized for the inconvenience and problems this may have caused. When I called a few weeks after not receiving the new card I was told that my account was closed because of inactivity? My bill was paid in full and was up to date so this was indeed a problem for me. I will no longer shop with this company.

Don't get the credit card you will end up with extra charges. I always shop here for several years and like the clothes and brought the clothes before getting the credit card. But will not anymore. The credit card is a racket and charge you $40 for 1 hour late and when I closed my account did not tell me they continue to charge you late fees and customer service actually told me they purposely don't tell you that. So Whoppie and any one else who promotes them should second guess a company who rips off hard working people. I actually work in customer service and my company would fire me on the spot if I told our clients what I was told. You are suppose to give your clients full disclosure and the best customer service to make them come back and recommend you to others.
I have been shopping on Ashley Stewart for many years. It started with the Butterfly Bra and then, I discovered their collection of dresses that never ceases to amaze! Their clothing is true to size and of very high quality. Their designers rock! They put out some of the most stylish plus size fashions. I am still enjoying pieces that I purchased nearly 10 years ago. I have a red dress that I purchased in 2010 and wore it quote often To worK... the red is still as bright as it was when I purchased it and the material is still like brand new. I shouldn't forget to mention that they are pretty reasonably priced compared to other plus size sites. I live in Nebraska and there are no retail locations here. All I ask is that they consider because their styles a4e the bomb.com!:-)
I ordered 2 items. I understood that shipping was running a little behind when I got the email stating such, BUT when I got it, it was only one piece. I ordered 2 of the EXACT items. When I called customer service, he said, "We will just refund your money for the one." Really? If I wanted 1, I would have ordered 1. He said that I would have to go back in and reorder instead of just sending me what was already, ordered and charged! Apologies do not meet deadlines. Do not run a sale if you cannot fulfill the orders. I asked for a survey but was told I couldn't be transferred to one. I was offered a supervisor but declined because the man I was dealing with had clearly stated how Ashley deals with short shipments.

I ordered a jacket and received a dress that was double my size! Tried to return the dress to the Hyattsville, MD strore only to be told that they don't take online Web special returns. Are they not the same company? I will not waste anymore money trying to ship this item back to the company with hopes of a refund for the item and shipping. Donating the item to charity & won't be purchasing anything else! Improve your service!
I was so excited to receive 3 bras from this company. I thought."wow they actually have the sizes for big girls". Well 3 bras and 2 weeks later. I have NEVER been more disappointed! You have to pull the entire bra down to your belly button in order for it to fit right. Then your boobs are hanging so low, you may as well not even wear a bra. I am 47 with huge boobs... I want SUPPORT and COVERAGE. Not 3rd and 4th boobs hanging out the top because the cups end under my arm pit. I can't swing my entire breast under my armpit. I honestly thought a reputable company like this would have decent products, but WOW This is terrible. There is NO SUPPORT WHATSOEVER. I would write more, but I have to grab my boob from my belly button and put it back under my arm

I placed an order and I was able to apply for the AS credit card. I placed my first order with the card and I was told I would receive my credit card within 10 business days. I added a few extra days due to the holidays, it's still NOT here. My whole purpose of getting this credit card was so I could buy nice new clothes to start my new job. I now have fkd myself thinking I could rely on the words I read from the website as well as my emails. I have now run out of time to place an order to get it before I start my new job. I wasted my time with this company and now I need to find something else. I'm beyond disappointed. And when I made a call to customer service all they were worried about was how and when I would pay my bill. I have full intention to pay my bill in full but I had to close my account. If I'm having this many issues and I just barely tried to establish a working relationship with this company, I can only imagine what other problems I will run into. Thanks for nothing!

Zero stars! I purchased 2 pair of boy shorts online. Had never tried her clothes and decided to give it a try. I received an email stating my package was delivered. I never received the package. I ordered on March 19th. I received an email on March 26th saying my package had arrived. Again, NO it did not. I immediately called on March 26. I was told an investigation had to be done to call back. Called weekly since then. Each time there is no update only saying like they are reading a script you can not be offered a refund until April 9th. I am not even convinced I will even get my money back. These are hard times man and 30.00 is 30.00. I need that money and can't believe a national company such as this would lead customers in never land while someone "investigates" a missing package for 10 days without any communication with customer. When I call I get treated like I am some kind of rude disgruntled petty individual. So beware of this before buying ANYTHING!
So I was not home recently when I thought about I need to pay my Ashley Stewart bill. Didn't know exactly how much it was but I knew it was 13$ an some. So I paid $14 to be safe. So to find out it was 14.30. So I get my bill today and I get a late fee all because of 30cents lol. Could've just waved it.
I used to love shopping in the Ashley Stewart stores and online. However, since the closure of many of its stores, and the company's online focus, the styles have drastically changed and not for the better. I just reviewed the website (excited and optimistic about the Fall season's offerings) and was shocked and disappointed. There was not one item that wowed me. AS traditionally offers statements pieces, and, in the past it was a joy to have a variety of options to choose from. I suspect AS changed buyers; not a good move, since the brand is now tarnished. Not a brand I wish to wear anymore, which is a huge shame. Very disappointed.
I have noticed in the last couple of years how the style and quality of the clothes have changed. The items they are selling in the stores in Memphis, TN are of poor quality and ugly. To much long flaring arms and large attachments of sorts on the clothes. I used to love Ashley Stewart and have some beautiful suits I purchased some years ago. I still wear them and people will say where did you get that sharp pants suit ect. And when I say Ashley Stewart they don't believe it... and I tell them some years ago when they had nice things. They can give the Diva Dollars all they want, but business women and women who want nice things to wear to nice affairs wonn't shop there. The style and quality is terrible. Hire new buyers Ashley Stewart before you end up out of business!
I was paying my account on time each month on a d before the due date. Little did I know I was getting late fees for on time payments. I spoke with a representative and she wouldn't honor the fact that payments were made on time. When asked to speak to a supervisor, she put me on hold for over 30 minutes before I hung up. Bad business. I'm reporting them to the BBB. Asap.
If you buy any clearance or web exclusives you will pay if you don't like or can't fit them. So take heed, don't buy from their online store you will have to pay to send it back and that's if they accept it as a return item. Good luck... I will stick the pros when it comes to online shopping experiences.
I purchased some items online that were on sale. This was my first time buying anything from Ashley Stewart online but I had made a previous purchase in store. They were "online exclusives" and if I had read the return policy I would not have made the purchase. The items were poorly made and I took them back to the store for a refund. I paid 8.95 for shipping when I made the purchase. I was told I would have to return it by shipping it back and they would take 8.95 from my refund amount. It wasn't worth the hassle and I just donated the clothes. I will not be making any more purchases from them (online or in store).

I have been shopping Ashley Stewart for years. In the past, the clothes were a better quality and worth cost. NOW, the clothes are cheaply made and cheap material at TWICE the cost. Example... I bought the Tropical Print set( BEAUTIFUL), but for 59.90 for the pants and No Pockets was like buying pretty pull ups. That and a number of pieces I ordered was not happy not having pockets for the price I paid.
Went into the Ashley Stewart in Markham, Illinois. It was the worst experience ever, I went in to inquire about a dress and the lady I was trying to speak with was really rude. While I was talking to her she just started talking to someone about a party. Tried to try on a dress couldn't get them to open the fitting room so I just hung the dress on the first available rack and exited the store. This location has very horrible service.
I have been an online customer for years! I love their bras, but I have noticed that their bras don't last long and the wire in the bra is so sharp around the ends that it goes thru my bras. The longest my bra has lastest is 8 months.
In February 2017 I purchased 5 bras online. 2 bras were Tshirt bras, wore them 5 times each and the wire came out on the side due to the cheap, thin material. I have sent numerous emails to AS since end June to return the items, they claim UPS will email me a return label, I have yesterday to receive this email. I have checked junk mail, spam, inbox NOTHING! AS claims it has been sent but won't send me proof UPS sent to my email address provided and they don't offer other options to return the items. At times it has taken them 5 days to respond back. It's all good when I place my order but to return items is the worst I might have to bite he bullet in this one. AS will not get my service and I will be sure to pass that along!
Bought a sectional that was great. Next I bought a reclining chair and a table. The recliner is the issue and the table. I had to call several times. They asked me to get on floor to find the number. They want you to fill out the form for repairs on line. I had to get help. I am 78 and need assistance getting up. My bones hurt and it is painful. My chair stop moving after couple weeks! When they came out I thought I had the motor but I didn't now Now I'm back to struggling to get out of my chair at 78! My daughter typed this my name is Martha Scott Please call so my life can get easier. My table that I bought is falling apart and I just bought it.
I ordered a pair of wide with sandals & I couldn't even get my foot half way into it. I also ordered a duster 2 sizes larger than I wear & it was wayyy too small. I get better fitting items from Walmart for a whole lot less $.
I brought the pleated holter dress, its poorly made inside slip the seam was inside out and the outside pleats of the dress is bunch together on both sides, I checked all the dresses and thay were all poorly made look like thay were sewn by a defective machine. And inspected by a defective machine. Beautiful dress poorly made.
I ordered two dresses from AS about a week apart, same dress different color. I received an e-mail concerning the first dress that I ordered saying that my return had been processed when I never received the order. I called customer service and was advised that it was canceled at the warehouse for some reason but she couldn't tell me why. I looked online and the dress wasn't sold out in that color and the size I needed so again I don't know why it was canceled. The second dress that I ordered never came. I didn't receive an e-mail stating that my order was canceled but it is now sold out. Terrible customer service. I used to love AS but they obviously have no idea what is in their inventory and they don't even tell you when your order is canceled.
