After waiting over two months I received there junk phone, the first time I charged it it got hot to the touch picked it up and it was melted on the back cover pulled out the charger cord smoke was coming out of the charging port then it went ballistic popping then it exploded glass pieces everywhere and hot plastic all over my counter and wall, tossed it outside. Then it exploded, caught fire. If I wasn't there to control that my house would be burnt to the ground thank you assurance wireless.! They are liars cheats and thieves. I told them about what happened and they could care less. After many attempts to get a replacement phone, they sent me another piece of crap which I will be sending back. I am done with them for good. Anybody that reads this review please do not consider this company unless you want your house to burn down their phones are dangerous.
I have been with Assurance Wireless for close to a decade and at first their service wasn't too bad but in the past three years they have declined rapidly. There is no customer service. Let's just be clear. No one who works there, knows how to do their job. They continue to jerk you around, there's never any solution. They keep telling you that they will fix this or fix that. But nothing ever changes. They recently changed the policy on their warranty without telling anyone. Now you are expected to pay close to $70 for a new upgraded phone, if you don't call on the very day that your warranty is up. It's completely unprofessional.
Phone doesn't work, called customer service (6 times w/6 different 'stories' by reps); ordered a phone which never came, called for refund, which hasn't come either. Every time I call I get another rep w/another story. I've received 6 different stories but still no phone and no money. Can't get a supervisor, don't even know if they have one reported company to BBB and to Attorney General in their state It's now almost two months w/o product or phone. And no response back from the company.
I believed excuses gives by customer service at Assurance Wireless when they said my data, that I just bought, got used up other ways besides me using an app like Facebook, Utube or browser. Excuses given were background and foreground and apps that are already on the phone when it arrives in the mail. These are apps I don't even use. I have disabled a lot of these apps and still after I buy 20.00 worth of data for 4 GB... it is gone within an hour?
I don't know why. I just got this phone and it takes a ridiculous amount of time for a text to come through, even if the phones are side by side. I mentioned this to them and they said they apologize for the inconvenience. The customer service is in another country and it takes a while to get someone. To be fair I'm not sure if I should have given up my $20 plan for this through t-mobile. I was trying to save money but now I basically can't get texts anymore. Imagine if someone texts you something important and you don't see it for hours/days later (or never).
Wanted to cancel account so I can sign up with another company, called Assurance Wireless customer service 1/2 dozen times, they kept hanging up on me, putting me on hold forever, two agents supposedly took my cancelation information but never submitted it. Assurance Wireless is a cut throat business company.
Got one of these phones a couple weeks ago because the guy wouldnt leave us alone about getting one and all he needed was our last 4 of our social. Both phones broke a week, Service didnt work when the phones did work. Just garbage. If you're going to give someone something to "save their life" at least make it reliable!
Sort of a trap. They give a free phone that's basically unusable and it usually quits working. They then make you buy a more expensive phone from them. It's better and less frustrating to go with a regular pre paid service.
We have the UMX version and our phone is so dam annoying, we have to take the battery out 5-7 X's per day cause it constantly locks-up! Sure you can send it in for a replacement, but you just get another inefficient phone. Come on people upgrade the phones, and bring them up-to-date with the software. We've found many things these phones don't do that they should! Please, please up-date your phones and correct these problems!
Honestly never had an issue with them. Always available to answer any questions or concerns that I may have.all n all For being a company that helps individuals get a phone during this time I appreciate all that they do and that they continue to do. Thank you very much
They assured me since before i signed up with them on dec. 28 2021 that i will have my same number well i got my phone yesterday now its nothing but lies and run around why i cant have it and i exposed them on their facebook page they blocked me and i reported them to the FCC today and i told them i would before a supervisor last night told me straight up go ahead report us.
Customer service is the worst. Phone calls go tot the Phillpines,they talk so fast I cant understand what they say. Every agent that answers gives me a different response. When I ask for a supervisor they put me on hold and never come back. Its funny when you call the recording says someone will be with you in 30 seconds,? Ha ha ha ha ha more like 30 minutes. I terminated the agreement and will sign up with another company. T-mobile providing bad service to poorer customers.
I received my phone and it took at least 3 tries to get it activated. Customer service... they can't speak English and it is hard to understand them. My phone was stuck in airplane mode and no one could tell me how to fix it, then my phone was stolen and they wanted $45 for a replacement phone. I called the number given and was on hold for 20 plus minutes then got the chance to answer a survey without speaking to anyone so I gave them a zero for every question. I called back and got someone in customer service right away, by then I knew it was a rip off! Stay away! 't Free isn't always best!
Your representatives which roam around NYC offering to sigh for acp program charge 150$ for a phone which is supposed to be free! That's against the law! I will complain to the federal agency! Refused to provide me with proper re-certification paperwork to result in my phone being disconnected. Will not reactivate my service despite having proof of approval from the National Lifeline Service. Customer Service hung up on my when I asked to speak to a supervisor.
Do not use this company, they advertise unlimited service and it is anything but. After they cut off your phone service midmonth, they will attempt to extort you for 10 cent a minute. Beware they are con artist seeking to rob senior citizens. Shameful!
I waited over a year to get a Coolpad phone. The people who worked for them lied to me, everytime I called, they said I was getting 1 mailed 2 me. Well you can guess never received 1. After 2 years of putting up with there crappy phones, that don't work, and crappy service. I'm done, dropped them today!
After eventually getting a customer service rep on the phone, that is after 15 minutes of commercials, he does not speak my language. Really great Assurance, hire idiots from a 3rd world county to answer calls.
Then in mid sentence, he hangs up on me because customer service is closed. Mighty $#*!ing great.
I have a damn problem and he goes home.

They hire csr's that are not able to speak or understand English. They ask for documentation repeatedly and when you send it, it makes no difference. Been without phone for 5 months during a pandemic, just hung up from speaking with them in tears. Terrible service, non caring service reps. I have provided them with everything they asked, repeatedly.
More than qualify, been a customer for years and they decide I didn't send in recertification, never received one.
Firstly, It is slow, resets my data every 24 hours, shuts my phone off randomly and turns back on weeks later, and won't even let me take pictures. And also the cameras are horrible, like my house is very bright and it makes it look dark. And when I didn't even download or take one picture, it said I have no storage. I know have a IPhone 6, which is **************000x better than this worthless piece of junk.
