Dropped my phone. No visible damage, but audio started to fail. Qualified for replacement at AT&T store. They started me with asurion. Online process simple. Phone arrived next day. Data transfer took longer. Only complaint, deductible cost ($275), but much cheaper than new phone.
Lost a phone, stop by the closest store so I could call or have them help me get the process started. Nope, manager could not dial 1-800 outgoing call, and then the online, asks to send a link to the phone. Someone has disconnect there, and totally forgot people can loose phones and what happens if the screen is so damaged you can't see it. Totally stupid! Drive home and call, now the representative 1st tells me it will be there that evening. Sweet, I wait, I wait, then check email that the delivery will not happen and they canceled my claim. Called back, filled another claim. Remember cannot do this online. They explained it had to come from a warehouse and would come next day, nope. Wrong again, came the day after.

"Fair market value" $300.00 for a laptop valued at 2k for a cracked screen! I paid $100.00 deductible. Policy is supposed to repair or replace. $300.00 and no options for anything else is not "Fair market value" the worst is when u call Assurion they cant help you and direct you back to AT&t and AT&t will redirect you to Assurion. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! THIS IS CRIMINAL!

I have to preface this rant with kudos to the employees and CSRs of Asurion, all were wonderful, understanding and helped me get my business with Asurion, going. Sadly the employees follow a rigid script and orders, all of which are so frustrating. I have had to use Asurion on a few occasions. Out of over five claims, not one claim with the company was dealt without at least ten phone calls, ten arguments as to why I needed a replacement. After my first contact with the company regarding my latest claim, I have been without a functioning smart phone for well over a month. I have had to use another phone for business, and it is covered by Apple Care. Working with Apple Care is FAR BETTER and EASIER, than dealing with Asurion. I will never again, use Asurion and I certainly don't recommend it to others.

Horrible experience! I filed my first claim for a stolen phone with them. Filed a claim on Friday and was told via website that I would receive the phone on Sat. Saturday comes, and I have not received a tracking number, confirmation email or anything. When i track the status online it says under review and it can take up to 24 hours. Now by this time 24 hours had gone by. So I patiently wait to speak with a representative who confirms the documents are under review. When asked why, she gives some useless reason, then confirms that now, since I am on the phone the documents have magically been reviewed and the phone is ready to be shipped. Mine you, I didn't do anything hit call in. However, since today is Saturday I won't be receiving the phone until Tuesday. So as a customer, I get screwed because someone at Asurion didn't do their job in a timely fashion. The representative and the supervisor stated it's nothing they can do and basically accept it or not. I will be cancelling my Asurion home plus! I wish I could cancel my cell phone coverage however I believe this is the company Verizon chooses. I would not ever consider doing business with this horrible company!
AIPR "smart" (not really though) pool vacuum stopped working and agent JiaMariel issued me a reimbursement of the full price of $899! So impressed with Asurion (not impressed with AIPR) service. I always buy the protection plan policies and it's nice to know they are beyond worth evey penny!

It was amazingly quick and I got exactly what I needed done
I had to submit my claim SEVEN TIMES for them to start the process with my work laptop.
They took their sweet time to check my computer to finally tell me it could not be fixed and then sent me ONLY one option to "choose" from, to replace my laptop. That option was not at all comparable with what I had, and I had to waste A LOT OF TIME, make TENS of phone calls, and behave like a Karen, for them to finally send me more than one acceptable and comparable option, even when EVERY SINGLE TIME I informed them this was my work computer, but they - as a company - COULD NOT CARE LESS!
Their service is one of the worst customer services I've received!

Got sent a bad phone. Had to start the entire claim process over again. It's ridiculous you do not have a quicker process for bad phones YOU sent. Get better!

Got Asurion through Verizon and filed a claim but minor cosmetic damage isn't covered. The Iphone has a glass back and it cracked. I called the number and got 8 "special promotion for select callers" that EVERY CALL gets. I passed on all 8 and then got given another number to call after being offered a refund as I never once used their service. (*******600.) I tried calling back, thinking I gave the wrong info but ended with the same result WITH A DIFFERENT NUMBER! (*******200.) I tried both other numbers and got an automated call that eventually hung up on me. A FREAKING RUN AROUND TO AVOID RESPONSIBILITY. This company is terrible. I can't see why Verizon went with them. Canceled my phone insurance and started a savings account.
Asurion is a waste of $15 (plus taxes and surcharges) a month. Better off putting it in a savings and paying a local company to do your phone repairs. At least you can get your money back or pay for the repair yourself!

Don't use Asurion. They make you jump through hoops to get a refund. I read a few other online reviews and you should too. Seems even if you file a claim, you get screwed by their processing.

I would recommend to never ever buy Asurion protection plan for any products and appliances bought online or from store. They'll dishonor their promise and will always find and read you the fine lines, you missed while signing up for the plan in haste to buy the products, which 8 out of 10 buyers online do... and Asurion takes advantage of this lapse in reading "FULL TERMS and CONDITIONS" with fine lines. Very very dissatisfied for their services and Cust Rep just hanging up the phone on you.
The technician was early, he knew exactly how to fix my phone. Also, he let me know about my warranty for my new screen and asked if I needed a new case. Excellent service.

They did not disclose the product properly nor give us the right information when asked, because I asked questions when they (Verizon) were trying to sell methe product, probably got someone new, because usually I get all the questions and questions I didn't even know I had answered properly! Call insurance # got a rude representative first hand( I tell her last Friday and she's like in need a date, like she's not sitting in Front of a computer, I work in customer service and I know how to make a customers life easier I didn't even had my phone in my hands). (probably by protocol) asked the info of the devices that needed fixing, then asked for my personal information, then proceeded to tell me that the product sort of have a grace period of 30 days before you can used it so the claim was consider prior even though they charge upfront for the service that they lie about when selling. Then since they got the information for the device you can't claim it in the future, also May I add it was only Days away. If they really wanted to help they could have said hey let's wait to enter the details so this claim can be accepted. I've been a client with Verizon /Asurion for over decade and they can't just say wait 9 days or let's override this and we're here for you to help! Very very disappointed with the "customer service" and the actual "service" all they did was served themselves with my hard earned money,( the insurance and the phone service)
