“Easy walk-through w/ AT&T store help”

Dropped my phone. No visible damage, but audio started to fail. Qualified for replacement at AT&T store. They started me with asurion. Online process simple. Phone arrived next day. Data transfer took longer. Only complaint, deductible cost ($275), but much cheaper than new phone.

“Lost a phone”

Lost a phone, stop by the closest store so I could call or have them help me get the process started. Nope, manager could not dial 1-800 outgoing call, and then the online, asks to send a link to the phone. Someone has disconnect there, and totally forgot people can loose phones and what happens if the screen is so damaged you can't see it. Totally stupid! Drive home and call, now the representative 1st tells me it will be there that evening. Sweet, I wait, I wait, then check email that the delivery will not happen and they canceled my claim. Called back, filled another claim. Remember cannot do this online. They explained it had to come from a warehouse and would come next day, nope. Wrong again, came the day after.

I made a claim for my phone on March 16th, 2023. They provided me the service date and time, they canceled. They re-scheduled, then canceled. 2nd appointment, canceled, 3rd appointment, canceled, and 4th appointment, canceled. I haven't still heard back from them as of today, 04/03/2023.

This company isn't prepared to help clients through a pandemic. You need to find your ways to find a printer and file claims.
I will never give them a penny ever.
They have the worst customer service

I can't stand the company, looks like they are t on the same page! I lost my phone and submitted a claim with them, after submitting all the details and the required documents and was approved and my device was shipped. Upon tracking my delivery it showed SENDER HAS REQUESTED THE PACKAGE BACK! I called and inquired they told me sorry there was a technical difficulty and had to cancel my claim without giving me any notice! They asked me to start a new claim which I did and repeated the same process and again the device was shipped and AGAIN it showed sender has requested it back! I do not understand what's going on and who is doin what and what technical difficulties are happening. I've been without a phone and my work depends on my phone! My request is if this message is seen by someone who has the authority to take action and resolve this issue please do and resolve it for me because looks like I am talking to robots without any extra knowledge.

My work phone ended up in the washing machine, then the dryer. No worries, had insurance on all my phones. A new phone was quickly sent out but needed to be activated. This is where the customer service went into the toilet. It was VERY loud as other operators spoke on other calls in the background. While the brochure says "activate your phone in minuets" what they mean is 55 minutes. The employee had to get the #'s from my phone several times before it was activated. On top of it all, it was really about a sales pitch and after being turned down many times, the employees tone changed to less than desirable for a service call. They tried to sell me insurance on my phones, I HAVE insurance on all my phones, she kept pushing. It was NOT a good customer service experience for a seemingly easy transaction. Then after asking me if I had anything else to SAY, I expressed my dissatisfaction very politely. I get it, subjective, but I was polite, ask my wife who was in the room listening the whole time. Please Asurain, JUST activate my new phone, don't try to pressure up sale me with a product, insurance, that I already have.

Tip for consumers:
Be prepared to say no to pushed sales pitch. Don't get roped into their scam.

I have had at &t cell phone service and asurion insurance for over 15 years. Have not made a claim so have been paying for this service. Recently had a screen crack and had 3 different appointments to have someone come to my home to repair it( usually a time frame of 3 hours) all 3 times the tech never showed up and never called.( unprofessional) This caused me to miss a day of work as well. After the 3rd time i was told i would get a phone for 49.00 the price of the repair and that i would receive a email sayinghen i would get the phone. NO EMAIL! So once again i call and i am told that i would not get a phone. This is not acceptable, i am leaving adurion insurance and at&t. This has been a 3 week process and my phone has glass pieces going into my fingers. NEVER AGAIN WILL I DEAL WITH THEM. They dont even deserve a 1 star.

I, like many Asurion victims, spend hours going round with their automated system. It wouldn't be so bad, but with the crappy reconditioned or factory second phones they send out inevitably stop working. They come with a 6 month warranty. I've rarely had one of their phones for longer than 7 weeks. But where the brick wall starts is when you want to complain. Yesterday was the first time I was able to actually complain to someone higher up in the company. That person should NEVER be on the phone with people. And I finally understood. I'm not Asurion's customer, my carrier is. The "person" on the phone, who claimed to be the highest level of customer service in the company spent the entire phone call trying to put me at fault for Asurion's inability to give me value for my money. Not all Asurion's employees are bad people. Most are very nice. But they are constrained by people like the person I talked to.
My suggestion is to remember that Asurion only cares about keeping their contract with the carrier. They don't care about the phone subscribers. We're not their customers. I give them a 1 because it is the amount of fingers I hold up for them. Specifically, the middle finger.
