“Easy walk-through w/ AT&T store help”

Dropped my phone. No visible damage, but audio started to fail. Qualified for replacement at AT&T store. They started me with asurion. Online process simple. Phone arrived next day. Data transfer took longer. Only complaint, deductible cost ($275), but much cheaper than new phone.

Lost a phone, stop by the closest store so I could call or have them help me get the process started. Nope, manager could not dial 1-800 outgoing call, and then the online, asks to send a link to the phone. Someone has disconnect there, and totally forgot people can loose phones and what happens if the screen is so damaged you can't see it. Totally stupid! Drive home and call, now the representative 1st tells me it will be there that evening. Sweet, I wait, I wait, then check email that the delivery will not happen and they canceled my claim. Called back, filled another claim. Remember cannot do this online. They explained it had to come from a warehouse and would come next day, nope. Wrong again, came the day after.

I have had nothing but problems with this company. I tried to get a screen fixed a year ago. They no showed me three times on the third attempt I got a message from them saying they cancelled my appointment since I wasn't available. I was sitting on my couch waiting for them to show up. I didn't even have the energy to mess with it any more so I just took it and paid someone to fix the screen. Even though I pay monthly fee to have insurance. The most recent issue is I set up a claim today for same day delivery of a new phone because my daughters phone won't turn on. I get a confirmation email saying they would see me today and the time of my appointment and what to do before the appointment. Well it was 30 minutes into my window time so I decided to call. Well guess what they are saying the claim was never submitted! I tried to explain I had to have a phone because my kids need one while I am at work during the day. Well there was nothing they could do except say they would put one in the mail and we would have it in 1-2 days. They also offered me a $20 gift card for my trouble! How about you give me some refunds on the money I pay each month towards an insurance policy. We are leaving for vacation in 3 days. If I don't have a phone by the tile we get back you may hear about me on the news! I would think twice about paying each month for the insurance. Maybe put the money in your own savings account in case something happens!

Coverage for devices,timing and Customer Care is better than any store,repair shop and more.

Asurion info and proper computer generated info needs to be accurate prior to being sent out however. I changed my credit card number after my account closed(sigh); I re--signed up and new confirmation email still showed my Old previous credit card # to be billed for future payments. I had to go through Customer Care ONLINE to ensure that really Wasn't the case. Online via Customer Care it showed in my account the new credit card...just the New confirmation email showing RE-SIGNING UP for services had wrong info!
Just a heads up...double check to ensure over phone or online that they DO actually have new pertinent information. The person I worked with named Ibrahim was very professional,polite,professional,, courteous and even used appropriate memes during conversation of uplifting words behind it when sending information back to him in appreciation. I was able to give him all information as he asked and situation was fixed and ensured me proper credit card was indeed showing on their end and that card would indeed be used for future payments! Not one resentment about using Online Customer Care with Ibrahim! Way to go!.(filled in of course).

Really would Not use any other service besides Asurion!

Tip for consumers:
Make sure before any account closes via email that Asuriin has indeed sent a heads up notice PRIOR IN EMAIL...letting customer know that attention is needed...not close out customers account! When an account closes you MUST wait 30 days from. Date of RE,SIGN UP OF SERVICE ""before"" you van submit any type of claim!

As for electronics...unless your device is outdated-obsolete,you WILL receive same item. Only 1 time did I receive an updated cellphone and had to still pay the deductible-differ

Products used:
Prior year cellphone which did not operate properly. Adurion sent out another phone with an extra box and mailing return label and packaging to send it back in via USPS. EVERYTHING a person needed was included. As ling as you return defective electronic device....you get your new one literally within 48 hrs via USPS MAILBOX!!! THIS way there are NO incurred funds being lost from your pocket or financex!!

We have not yet had to use main home services as of yet so unsure about returns or receiving new household items

Have a sealed system issue on a Samsung refrigerator. I called Asurion and told them this specifically i. E. that it is confirmed to be a sealed system issue. They said they could address it but not for 1.5 weeks. The tech came over 1.5 weeks later to tell me that he had no clue it was a sealed system issue and unfortunately cannot help BUT spoke to someone on the phone with him company and they will get someone over here asap to help after they get a couple of parts in.

I saw parts ordered and coming to my home then I got a call from them to reschedule for another week out. I confirmed and waited for the 2nd tech to show up. While waiting, they called me to say that not only will a tech not be coming but they are unsure if they can ever help with a sealed system and advised me to blame Samsung and call them back.

I had a long and painful conversation with them about being adults and taking responsibility. They jerked me around for a month confirming several times they could help only to completely abandon me and give up on the basis that they really could never have helped me to begin with but just wanted to try?

This company is a joke with countless failed processes, procedures, ill-equipped, and incompetent people at every level in the company.

I highly recommend everyone avoid them like the plague they are.

Tip for consumers:
Find a real repair company like a locally owned where you can talk to the person with the supposed knowledge to assist.

Products used:
Nothing, they just tell you they can help then schedule people to waste your time with no intention or capability of helping.

So sortly after purchased i cracked the lower cornner of my phone. I had a screan protector to try and presrve my phone long enough to get a more durible one, well didnt take long for it to pop off and crack. Broke my heart. This happened in like july well first time filing for a claim i had hit a snag where i had to fill out a form and no one could figure out the code needed to open it. I eventually gave up and wait awhile before trying again. This time i was with easy over the chat in the app. The worst though is im going to be without a phone for pretty much a week my suggestion keep a cheap phone around for when you need a repair.

I was directed to call Asurion to initiate a claim due to the age, my device couldn't be repaired locally. Upon calling I was sent a link to start the claim. The instructions were clear, concise, and step-by-step; I was offered (2) choices: repair my phone or replace with a newer device...I chose the latter but DREADING the hassle of transferring everything over, but even THAT was PAINLESS! The local resource wanted $100 to perform what was provided by Asurion & AT&T! I am thoroughly pleased with the resolution of this claim and the simplified process of transferring the data to the new device; my ONLY suggestion is to have the OPTION to speak to a human for those seniors who may be intimidated by a modern process.

Signed up for a protection plan while I purchased a gift for my wife. I recieved the gift, not the protection plan. They said they sent the plan via email. I looked in my spam, trash and inboxes before placing my negative review. They sent me a snotty email stating i should check these boxes before I rate them. I asked why not just send me my plan instead of arguing with me? They sent me another snotty email, I JUST CANCELLED THE PLAN!
