Dropped my phone. No visible damage, but audio started to fail. Qualified for replacement at AT&T store. They started me with asurion. Online process simple. Phone arrived next day. Data transfer took longer. Only complaint, deductible cost ($275), but much cheaper than new phone.
Lost a phone, stop by the closest store so I could call or have them help me get the process started. Nope, manager could not dial 1-800 outgoing call, and then the online, asks to send a link to the phone. Someone has disconnect there, and totally forgot people can loose phones and what happens if the screen is so damaged you can't see it. Totally stupid! Drive home and call, now the representative 1st tells me it will be there that evening. Sweet, I wait, I wait, then check email that the delivery will not happen and they canceled my claim. Called back, filled another claim. Remember cannot do this online. They explained it had to come from a warehouse and would come next day, nope. Wrong again, came the day after.
I am a tech support consultant and I have ALL clients insure ALL devives with ASURION. They are generally very encouraged by my assessment for having such insurance.
Personally I typically do the same and have been quite pleased by the results.

This company is more of a pita then anything.
My husband's phone kept reading there was no Sim card and after going to us cellular and them helping us replace the Sim card and it not helping we had to go through this place. Once we finally got the all the info submitted we kept having to contact them as we were continuously receiving emails saying they needed more information. Mind you my husband is has a handicap when it comes to technology as well as him being in another state for work so I had to take over because he was done. I called, everything was submitted, the person told me it was approved, took the payment number and told me it was on back order because they no longer make the s21 smoke... uhm ok guess he will take the pink one. 3 to 4 days later I get another email saying they needed more information. I check our checking account and see if they pulled the $99 they were supposed to and they didn't so I called again, went through the process again, took the card number again and told me it needed to be approved and we would get an email we got the email 2 days later and then finally 2 days later he finally got the phone got all his stuff switched over to the new phone and sent it back. Now 3 days later again we get 2 letters in the mail saying that the request was denied because it "was not the covered property enrolled for coverage" uhm what? I'm not sure why US Cellular switched to this company but I think they made a mistake and we are very much not happy with it to say the least.

ASSUMING I am delivered a NEW and not refurbished phone, I am extremely pleased with how fast and easy it was to put a claim in. All in all it took less than 2 minutes, was extremely straight forward, and very convenient.

My phone was stolen I pay monthly through Verizon for insurance. That said I was 2.5 months past my claim period And are refusing to replace the phone that I'm still being charged insurance for.
The lady I spoke with about my phone was very helpful, explained everything about my replacement. My new phone was received in the timely manner of 2 days.
I always ensure to get coverage. I have never had any issues with an agent helping to find a resolution to either replace an item or refund for an item. The agents are always kind

In challenging times they have no mercy or compassion for consumers that don't have the deductable funds. When you do have the funds to pay, they say that the phone must be in use for 60 days. Well it was broke, how could I? They will email you EVERYTHING except for the policy information disclosing that you have up to 60 days. The supervisor I worked with needs to be better trained in COMMUNICATIONS. She likes to talk over you, Puts you on HOLD and never returns.

I agreed to get the insurance with my new $1400 Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra from Verizon due to the price of the phone. I dropped the phone back in June 2020 and the screen cracked at the upper right corner. Screen sensors were fine. All worked well. Four days ago (3.5 months later) the screen sensors failed on the top 1/3 of the screen. I filed a claim with Asurion. The process is OK. They approved my claim quickly and sent out the phone. It was supposed to arrive by 1:30 PM the following day. UPS misplaced it. I called Asurion and they said I had to refuse delivery in order for them to resend my phone. I decided to give it another day. Two days later still no phone. UPS was no help. Asurion reneged on their earlier offer. I'm going to skip all of the boring details. Bottom line... Asurion wasn't going to help. They shipped a phone and in their mind... end of story. I'm still without a working phone. UPS apparently doesn't know where it is. None of this is my fault but Asurion doesn't care. In the mean time, I bought a phone from Amazon. Frankly, I should have done this months ago and kept it for just such an occasion. I will never get an insurance policy through them again.
Initially it was a little difficult to get the claim processed, but once they decided the claim was valid the process went pretty smooth and they fixed and shipped my computer back to me ready to go!
(Disclosure I'm in the middle of a refund still) so from the date of posting I've been in a 3 week process to get this refund back for $300 I've been told twice after multiple times of being hung up on "it will be 7-10 buissness days before you recieve your refund"
Cool great, but then those dates come around and they tell me the EXACT same thing but change the date.
I've never once been so frustrated trying to find out when I'm supposed to get MY money back. I'm not an aggressive person but dealing with this company has brought out the absolute worst in me. This is actually the first bad review I have ever written.
The entire time I've been dealing with them I've spoken to one person who was genuinely understanding of the situation and was very helpful.
Regardless If you have the means then go to another company and save yourself some time.
I've had this insurance for years and it's the first I've had to deal with them and it's easily a 0/10 experience. As soon as this is over I will be looking for another phone insurance provider
Tip for consumers:
Don't, be all means go elsewhere if you can. It sucks because they replace your phone in under 24 hours but if something goes wrong it'll be a month minimum before anything even starts to get figured out
