Dropped my phone. No visible damage, but audio started to fail. Qualified for replacement at AT&T store. They started me with asurion. Online process simple. Phone arrived next day. Data transfer took longer. Only complaint, deductible cost ($275), but much cheaper than new phone.

Lost a phone, stop by the closest store so I could call or have them help me get the process started. Nope, manager could not dial 1-800 outgoing call, and then the online, asks to send a link to the phone. Someone has disconnect there, and totally forgot people can loose phones and what happens if the screen is so damaged you can't see it. Totally stupid! Drive home and call, now the representative 1st tells me it will be there that evening. Sweet, I wait, I wait, then check email that the delivery will not happen and they canceled my claim. Called back, filled another claim. Remember cannot do this online. They explained it had to come from a warehouse and would come next day, nope. Wrong again, came the day after.

I initiated a claim with Asurion on 12/12/23 due to the loss of my phone. The initial process of setting up the claim was efficient, giving me a positive outlook. However, my experience quickly took a turn for the worse.

After paying a $275 deductible, I expected my replacement phone to be delivered promptly as advertised on the site with free same-day delivery between 7-9 pm. Unfortunately, no delivery was made, and upon contacting Asurion, I was informed that they lacked the necessary resources for delivery. It's worth noting that reaching Asurion's customer service took considerable time, with waiting periods ranging from 1-2 hours.

Fast forward, I was promised another phone to be delivered two days later due to a lack of stock, contradicting their initial explanation. When I finally received the replacement, I encountered issues during activation. Several hours were spent bouncing between Verizon and Asurion, neither party taking ownership of the problem. The revelation that Asurion sent me a phone on a "Non-Pay List" only added to my frustration. Another replacement was deemed necessary, leading to an additional 3-4 days of waiting.

What's truly disheartening is Asurion's lack of quality assurance when sending out replacement phones. Even more surprising, they attempted to sell me additional insurance for my home devices despite their glaring service shortcomings.

This entire ordeal has caused significant mental and emotional distress, affecting my ability to sleep. The prolonged hours on hold have etched the hold music into my mind, creating a nauseating feeling at the mere thought of it.

Asurion, it's imperative that you address these issues promptly and improve your service quality. The impact on your customers is profound, and there's a clear need for better communication and quality control in your processes.

DON'T ever buy a protection plan from Home Depo... This is the biggest rip off I have ever dept with. The company claims to be HOMEDEPO protection plan, however it is a company that is run from the Phillipines and is called Ascurion and even thou you "think" your appliances are protected, good luck in getting them to pay or replace your appliances. DONT waste your money! Please re-post I want to spread the word and put them out of bussiness

Called Asurion, they transferred me to Apple, Apple sent me back to Asurion, Asurion says they need Apple to give them a case ID number. I called Asurion with the case ID number, they said they can't send the replacement device until the "Find my iPhone" feature is turned off. But we cannot access the device to do so because it is so heavily damaged, Ausrion will not send us the phone until that's resolved. APPLE locked the ID because we tried to reset the password. Now I can't do anything with the phone or Asurion until we get the password issue sorted out. ASURION could send me the phone, and I could load the old phones information on the new one and I could resolve the whole issue. But when you speak to Asurion customer call center folks ( who all speak very broken English), all you get is told we cannot do anything... it's not us... it's______ (fill in the blank).

They did this same garbage when I called about my washing machine... my dryer... my fridge and my dishwasher... what a $#*! company. Don't ever buy their warranty! EVER!

I decided to take my device to the store in FAYETTEVILLE GA and I had the best experience. This was the first time I contacted Asurion online to file a claim. I usually do it over the phone. But in my ole age I wanted to stay courageously current with my computer skills, so I did it online. It was easy! But halfway through it I have to say I kind of chickened out and went for the support live person online and I am glad I did. I met a really nice person named Amber. She listened attentively so as to trouble-shoot the problem that I was having. Upon seeing how frustrated I was getting at having to file a claim she was able to then walk me through some practical suggestions that I could do without going through the expense of filing a claim. Getting online help in filing a claim and working through an issue wasn't that bad at all. But I am one of those individuals that when I am told "no," I call again and again to see if there is another work-around my issue. I am glad I am consistent with this approach. I called ATnT twice and spoke with 2 knowledgeable individuals and at the end of each conversation, both said that I would need to file a claim. I said to myself: "Self, don't give up. Try letting Asurion know what your issue is and maybe a tech person would be just as savvy too." So, I did and I'm glad I did. I wish there were more Ambers in the world--who actually think outside the box. Thank you, Amber and thank you Asurion. Remember: Nothing hurts a try except a failure!

I do not think asurion/Verizon deserves a full star, perhaps a half star. I purchased a new iPhone 12 less than 4 months ago. I had a mishap and damaged my phone, so I filed a claim (the first claim ever! I have been with Verizon for over 10 years and not once filed a claim) the costumer service was nice enough. I was told they would replace my phone and it would come the next day. The phone was delivered the next day… refurbished with apple and non apple parts (apple warranty no longer covers the hardware of this phone). I plugged the phone in and became very warm when charging or after about 14 minutes of use. I called and the phone was replaced easily enough…I was told I would receive a brand new phone… I received another refurbished phone that the battery will not hold a charge appropriately… again apple warranty on hardware/recalls voided. I can understand a referbished phone after about a year, bu 4 months it should be brand new as Verizon advertised and asurion representative said would be sent… very disappointed. Not only will I not be renewing my contract with Verizon, I will not agree to use asurion to insure any devices whatsoever in the future.

I called and filed my first claim and someone came out within a couple days, but what he did didn't resolve the problem. I filed a second claim and within a few days someone did come out on Monday, I believe and told me it something else and if they got authorization to replace the part they would be out later in the week, on Thursday. Thursday came and went, Friday came and I called them and left a message. Monday came and I decided to contact the Home Depot department manager. He was polite and eager to help. He checked the claim and found that my second claim had been closed. I told him that the person who came told me they would come back and fix my oven. Instead the person closed my claim stating that the stove was fine and he couldn't find any problems with it. The manager told me that he would make things right and he did. He sent another person from a different group. The repairman walked in and within the first two minutes of listening to me explain what was wrong, told me what the problem was and explained what was happening and how he would fix it. He told me he would return on a certain day and he did and fixed my oven. I only wish, he had been sent the first time. The other group had know idea what they were talking about and were dishonest to me, which left a bad taste in my mouth. Grateful it is fixed but disappointed it took so long.

This is the worst designed service ive ever seen in my life. To replace a lost phone, you are asked to print out, fill out, and rescan a form that should 100% be online. After this, you are asked to call a help line number... HOW CAN YOU CALL A HELP LINE FOR A SERVICE TO REPLACE A PHONE YOU DONT HAVE? If you are lucky enough to get in contact, the tracking number TO REPLACE A LOST PHONE is sent VIA TEXT MESSAGE THAT CAN ONLY BE SEEN ON THE PHONE YOU DONT HAVE. When you click the tracking help line link, the customer service team isnt even for the mobile device team, its for some home device insurance and will not help and tell you AGAIN TO CALL A HELPLINE NUMBER. Its taken 3 days to get through to them, and you cannot pick up an item in store, they require it to be mailed. Nobody with a functioning brain would design something this bad and they should be embarrassed they charge people for this service. Never never never pay these people a dime this is a racket.

My IPhone screen got cracked in front of one of the 2 Facial ID cameras which I use a lot and love! Keshia guaranteed she could replace the screen for $149. Period! When I picked up my phone, the bill was $199! And the Facial ID didn't work. She said "take it home and do the apple updates." I did that. It still barely worked and was not at all reliable. I took it back last Monday morning. She was out of town. A man there blamed me by saying I didn't buy their best screen and they don't guarantee their screens will work will all apps! I complained that Keshia never said any of that! In fact she dissed another company that I'd talked to and told me she'd been doing this for 20 years and knew all about it!

So pissed off and the man offered me NOTHING! No recourse. I told him I was never offered a better grade of screen, Keshia knew exactly what I needed it for, never mentioned it may not work nor suggested I take it to the Apple Store for repair. (Apple let me trade it in but afterwards said if they'd known it was replaced by someone other than Apple they wouldn't have.
BTW: it passed all Apple tests. So it was the lousy non Apple screen that the IPhone could tell wasn't theirs so Facial ID was all wonky!

PS. I didn't want a new Iphone 15!
I just wanted the Facial Recognition to work! Everything else was fine!

Purchased phone and service Sunday night...
Picked phone up mid day Monday (so far so good)
Had all info from old iPhone downloaded to my new iPhone by 3:30 (great)
I received a message from old provider Straight Talk that the movement of number is approved
Verizon confirmed and told to await text message my service is now functioning;
Now midday Tuesday with no service, no text message. Talked to an Asurion rep named 'Christian' who seemed to know what he was talking about but when checking website for Verizon porting received a message that I would receive a text message when ready/
Now 8:00 at night. Spoke with a village idiot named Jaison. He could not find an account with that phone number...I provided order number and account number. He then suggested I call an 800 number to confirm transfer...how can I do that with no working phone I asked. He then suggested (now 8:15) that I use a website he provided to find a Verizon store! When I informed him no stores were open he had no further solution. Now VERIZON...is this really the best you can do. At least on Straight Talk I could talk to a human (probably in India or the Philipines) and I good always get an answer to a problem. I never thought in a million years I would have worse service from Verizon than Straight Talk...great confidence builder!

I purchase a refrigerator from Home Depot and decided to add the insurance which is provided with Asurion. My refrigerator was leaking water from the bottom and it was not cooling. I call Asurion to come service my refrigerator and I was told that I need proof of purchase, which is already indicated in their system. I forward my receipt to Asurion and schedule a appointment for someone to come out and service my refrigerator. I waited all day for someone to show up and no one never showed up. When I call to see what happened with the service person they told me that I called and cancel my appointment. Which was false information. I scheduled a another appointment and finally someone came out and told me that they had to order a part. When the part was in the tech was able to service my refrigerator. I was out of a refrigerator for 3 weeks due to Asurion not wanting to service or troubleshoot my refrigerator because Home Depot never I had it the protection plan on the invoice that was sent over to Asurion. It took three or four months before I was able to get my money back for my food spoilage. I was also told that I was going to receive a $50 gift card that I never received. I do not know how the CEO for sure you sleep at night knowing that their company is full of crap and someone needs to take action and shut them down. I really wish I had the money to hire an attorney to investigate all the issues that everyone is going through to have them shut down.

Recently sent a switch in after a hard drop. The touch screen wasn't working properly, and my left joy-con was ripped from its socket. After receiving my product, they did nothing to fix my touch screen (I wouldn't expect them to, but my touch screen was legitimately damaged, they however said they tested it and found no issues). I have no idea how they tested the product as I received more problems immediately, including the left joy-con being obviously used and dirty (and not the same joy-con as the original) and my right stick being completely dead after no known issues with the right joy-con at all. If you're looking for a cheap way to replace a cheaper device that will ultimately be entirely replaced, by all means, be my guest. However, I never will recommend this company for fixing any electronic device and strongly encourage others to just buy a legit warranty that won't get you intertwined with these brain cell-less autists. They will rip you off in any legal way they can. The quality control is absurd. I would totally send a picture of the broken product but it's getting sent back in for another 10-12 days to ultimately just send me back an obviously used joy-con.

the price may seem decent, but the experience is most definitely not.
