I use asurion through AT&t it really does come in handy when you need it. I appreciate that you can get the issue corrected and then the payment is put on to your bill rather than paying up front. I'm insured on all my electronics with asurion!
I received a total of two telephones and neither one I could be heard when talking. I'm pretty certain that I'll be taken care of properly and accordingly.

Trust me I too had a horrible experience. I was charged for a phone replacement when I simply needed to have my screen replaced. The phone replacement was $229.00 the screen replacement was $29. Based on a series of questions over the phone, they come to the conclusion that my phone was irreparable, based on my answers. No one look at my phone, to make proper diagnostics. I was never given options. I felt like my phone just need a screen replacement. I had to drive 2.5 hours because they don't have a screen repair facility in my town of over 109,707, no U break it, we fix it by Asurion repair center in my town. How can you service all these wireless carriers, Verizon, Cricket, Sprint, and AT&T, and not have a repair center here? Oh, no they just want your money, but no facility nearby. The town that does have an Asurion repair center has a population of only 88,665 people. I should be not only refunded but compensated for the time and nightmare I had to go through. Hours wasted on the phone talking to inadequately trained staff. Time on the road, what a nightmare! I had to close my business and drive to the closest town near me to have my phone repaired. Once there, they denied my claim, so I had to fight it, another 2-hour conversation over the phone with incompetent help. In end, I strongly feel thousand of customers are incorrectly charged for new phones vs, having a simple screen repaired. The repair is only $29. They charged me $229. I sent them back their phone, and I'm still waiting on my refund. That's Ridiculous! Asurion wasted my time and kept my money. I sent them back their new phone, I never activated it.
Tip for consumers:
they want to be the insurance provider for all cell phone carriers, but they are not competent enough to help their clients. they just feel by charging you for a phone replacement $229, it's the cure to the real problem. I only needed a cracked screen $29 repair. how many people get frauded into a new phone. Oh wait it gets better, they don't have a repair center in my town, I had to drive hours there and back to get it repaired.
I entered my claim on line and received my new phone and shipping label's quickly. I am a satisfied customer.

I only said yes to the guy who brought me new refurbished phone from assurion because the stupid guy couldn't even help me set up Google on it, HE also never put the little card I think it's called sims card. When he said to me trying to set up my phone & COULDNT "gee see THAT'S why you need home device protection because Your gonna have to go to the Verizon store and see if they can help you, because I've never seen this happen before-meaning Google not able to respond to his setting up my phone. I have a brain injury (TBI) and needed help. I'm very technologically challenged now. I got scared that the Verizon store didn't have to help me but if I had assurion home device protection they'd have to. I was duped, an idiot I know. But needed help. He lied and said first month was only $15 and I COULD CANCEL ANY TIME I WANTED... TOTAL LIE IT WAS. I CANCELLED 3 DAYS LATER & WAS IT A HASSELL BIG TIME. THEY KEPT SWITCHING ME TO A DIFFERENT DEPT. FINALLY I CANCELLED IT AND NEVER EVER RECEIVED MY CONFIRMATION EMAIL... RED FLAGS WENT UP... Verizon tried to charge me for it and I finally got a human being to understand I had CANCELLED IT. HOURS later it was removed and bingo there it is again the $25 charge on March's bill. Verizon now giving me run around. I refuse to pay something I don't have or want. It's a scam and I wish to god I never went back to Verizon last July... I'm gonna have to cancel Verizon, screw up my credit and go back to metro pcs and save $50 per month. Verizon use to be really good now it's all about them making money off of the disabled...
I have a HP laptop that had liquid damage. I had purchased the product from BJs with an extended Asurion warranty. They fixed my laptop and among the things they did is replace the motherboard. When I recieved the laptop it was slower than mollasses. I updated all my software, deleted any unused programs but the computer is still slow. I callled asurion and over an hour on the phone and all they could tell me is that since my laptop powers on "is functional". There is nothing they can do as the warranty only covers hardware. My laptop is not functional as I had an i7 processor as I needed the speed... a slow laptop when having to do multiple things at once is not functional. The customer service is terrible every time you ask to be transferred it takes over 20-30 minutes of hold time for someone else to tell you what they cannot do. Replacing a processor with a slower processor? Not functional, nor is it a warranty, my expectation was to recieve my laptop that was functioning as it had prior to the liquid damage.
The experience was easy to get my phone replaced the only thing is that it was a little high deductible.

I've been paying for Asurion monthly through my Verizon wireless plan, and when I finally decide to use my coverage, it is taking me an extensive period of time to get anything done and nothing has still been done. I called them on Monday. They said they would call me back in 48 hours… it is now Friday when I'm writing this review. I never received a call back so I went ahead and I called them on Wednesday and when I was told what my callback number was they had the incorrect number! I do not know why this happened. I then asked them to manually switch out the callback number with my phone number, the phone that I am trying to get serviced and when I called today Friday, they still gave me the old callback number. Nothing was changed on my account. After the second conversation, they told me they would call me in three hours. I never received that call either even though I got the callback number switched. I'm now on my third phone call and final phone call with them today and after making three separate phone calls and speaking to multiple customer service agents, they kept telling me the same thing that my claim was still "under review". I use my phone for work. It is a very important device and I use it to make money. My phone is not functioning properly and the screen is about to go out. I've told them everything they wanted to hear all the way to a T. Repeated to them multiple times that I just recently broke my phone screen and that there is nothing else wrong with my phone besides the screen! I do not know why they need to review my claim & if they want to take a hard look at it. I'll be happy to bring it in to a phone repair shop that will handle the claim but they will not give me that option. I am still left hanging. This is ridiculous. I have had Positive interactions with them in the past, but this is absolutely unacceptable customer service. I will be switching to T-Mobile and I will be using their insurance company from now on. They have a better net work anyways.
