“Easy walk-through w/ AT&T store help”

Dropped my phone. No visible damage, but audio started to fail. Qualified for replacement at AT&T store. They started me with asurion. Online process simple. Phone arrived next day. Data transfer took longer. Only complaint, deductible cost ($275), but much cheaper than new phone.

Lost a phone, stop by the closest store so I could call or have them help me get the process started. Nope, manager could not dial 1-800 outgoing call, and then the online, asks to send a link to the phone. Someone has disconnect there, and totally forgot people can loose phones and what happens if the screen is so damaged you can't see it. Totally stupid! Drive home and call, now the representative 1st tells me it will be there that evening. Sweet, I wait, I wait, then check email that the delivery will not happen and they canceled my claim. Called back, filled another claim. Remember cannot do this online. They explained it had to come from a warehouse and would come next day, nope. Wrong again, came the day after.

Do NOT even think about doing business with these scammers. Worse than aftermarket car warranties. I would not be a bit surprised if these same call center had people switching between selling device warranties and car warranties.

Placed a clam on 8/28/20 was charged a extra fee to expedite shipping for next day which would've arrived 8/29/20, Never received the phone i would've been okay with even 8/1/20 still no phone each time i reached out i was hung up on while they claimed to place me on hold to help. Checked the status online and its trying to charge me more money another (245.00) to be exact. By the way they only received one star because thats the only way a review can be submitted i also will be sharing this with bbb

Asurion has left me in the wind countless times. Their Phone bot sucks, and does its best to drop you or keep you from any real answers that you wouldn't find in google.

Newest ordeal, they approved my claim and shipping my device, it immediately was requested to be sent back before delivery, without any excuse, email, or contact of any sort.
On top of that, if you did get in a line of waiting for a Rep to get real answers, I typically always get dropped.

Tip for consumers:
Use carrier provided insurance if at all possible!!!

Q+A to set up new Apple phone was fantastic. Verizon staff was patient, extremely knowledgeable about the device and was even able to answer questions regarding issues that confounded me for a long time that had nothing to do with setting up the phone. The fact that she was excellent in helping me set up the phone and was able to help, beyond the phone setup, was very impressive as staff usually live in different silos. She answered the questions, did not need to send me to another dept. to get an answer, saving me time and creating a very satisfied customer. I would give the highest marks regarding my experience.

A few months ago I had cracked my iPhone X screen, so I needed a replacement (for around 200 dollars). Verizon had led me to Asurion and told me I'd need to get the entire phone replaced from them, so I shipped it in. The phone I received isn't half as good as the one I had before. The home button sticks, the camera is blurry, and the battery dies extremely fast. They also gave me some sketchy off-brand charger. Not only that, but when I charge my phone, with it not actively in use, it gets hot to the touch after a few minutes of being plugged into the charger. All I wanted was a screen replacement, not this entirely remanufactured sorry excuse for a phone.

Waste of time and money!
They make you jump hoops, send your license and an affidavit then wait 3 hours just kidding they must have Verizon cause 6 hours later they "just received the email"
Oh you want to have us use a different email okay you now have to start over.
This company this insurance is the biggest pile of trash I've ever dealt with.
I will be leaving Verizon because of this horrible 3rd party insurance bs game.
I thought I might have to fill out an affidavit for this review!

After filling out my claim, it was unclear it if actually went through so I used the live chat. Initially it was rejected bec they thought the seller should still cover the grow light malfunction. But we looked together on Amazon and couldn't find anything by the seller currently being sold [including my grow light]. So my money is being refunded. I bought a 4 year plan and needed it w/in 6 weeks! So happy to have it bec the seller is no where to be found. TOTALLY worth spending the extra money for insurance!

For context we have asurion for one line on our Verizon phone plan, the other lines have apple care. It has been incredibly hard to communicate with support and get the reasons for a rejected claim. When a claim is rejected, we didn't get any follow up responses for why it was rejected. We only received an email saying it was rejected. In this case some of the pictures on the ID weren't clear enough so the entire claim was cancelled. We were only able to figure this out after calling for hours.

When communicating with support, they said emails would be resent but the emails were never sent making us feel like an afterthought. And yes we did check the spam folder. The experience was extremely inconvenient and I will be moving away from this in the future. I would recommend that everyone uses apple care or an equivalent instead.

Rebecca helped me fix my phone screen which was to be expected, however she went above and beyond, giving me directions to near by areas I would find interesting so I wasn't bored while waiting, fixed my screen and cleaned my audio ports and offered the best conversation experience. I filed a claim on line and the end result was for me to call the 800# to talk to repair man. I hesitated for almost a month because every time I thought about calling them it was Sunday or it was late. I finally called on a Sunday, just to check their open hours, and to my surprise someone answered. They are very easy to talk to and in a matter of minutes she determined we needed a repair man to come to the house. They came out 2 days later. He determined it was 1 of 2 possible parts so he ordered one and a few days later it showed up, I called the repair man and he came back within 48 hours to do the repair. He had to order another part. Same routine. He determined their was more to it than that so I was issued a complete refund which I received within 24 hours. I'm extremely satisfied. BTW, this was all taken care of the 2 weeks before Christmas.

Jose was the best when it came to my cracked screen fixing. He was open and honest with timing, told me the data from previous weeks of overheating messages, and recommended ways to avoid that, even without me being notified through the phone. I 100% recommend him if you are close to the Carle Place, Garden City area and you need your screen fixed.

Once the CSR found my service/protection plan in the correct division, the actual pickup and repair service was excellent. Second time Doc's Electronics, Nicholasville, KY has serviced a TV through Asurion for us. It once again, was flawlessly done. Tech Jason is professional, polite, and does what he says he is going to do. Products returned fixed and hung back on the wall as found at pick-up! Highly recommend this plan and their service agent for repairs! Definitely worth the money for this plan!

Tip for consumers:
Be sure you keep receipts as proof of purchase and proof of having had service performed through Asurion. Any issue we had was woth them “finding” which division of their company our plan was through/with! Asurion eventually figured it out after 3 phone calls.

Products used:
Have had 2 TV’s a 75” Samsung flat screen and a Hisense (Walmart) 50” flat screen fixed through the plan. Also an Apple Macbook Air 13” laptop over the life of our plan.

In my opinion my service tech was kind, courteous and handled the call with a level of professionalism rarely seen these days. I was completely impressed with her ability to flawlessly handle my activation while politely engaging in enough conversation to try and upscale the products offered by Asurion if I hadn't already had it I would have purchased for sure.

God awful. My phone broke in a car accident. Did the same day delivery with asurion. They sent an iPhone 8. I had an iPhone XS. The tech couldn't switch over phones so I was out a phone for 4 days. Ended up going to Verizon and buying a new phone myself. Called to get my $199.99 refund from asurion, and two months later I keep hearing the same thing. "The refund is pending"
Horribly ran company.

Losing something so dear to you is unacceptable. It is so depressing to lose some memorable moments of my life from yesteryear. The only thing that cheer me up is the protect advantage of Asurion and my phone has been replaced. I can't imagine the days without a phone is like alone in the dark, nobody to talk to, to guide you and more. Lessons learned.

My screen has been cracked for almost 5 months and they keep ordering my screen to come fix it but then on the day of my appointment they say they don't have my screen yet, has happened 3 times. They rescheduled again in 3-5 more days so we will see if it happens again.

I called Asurion, because I had bought a 3-year protection plan, and they set up a claim number and emailed me an address label to return the keyboard free of charge, via UPS. The next day I heard from Asurion that they had noted the package was on its way to them, and I got a cheque in the mail within three days. I am extremely pleased with their service. Be sure to keep your documentation, the price of the product, and Asurion warranty, in a safe place in case you need them later.

Tech was great! Got my problem resolved...but issue I had was trying to offer me more add ons. I know this is part of his job but this is where verizon went wrong. I already spend enough with Verizon I am having an issue, why you think is a good time to see if I want to spend more money with you...there's are problem fix it!

My phone screen is broken so I call Verizon to see what my insurance is looking like. Turns out Asurion will repair my phone at home for $29! Amazing, right? No... the system is wack. Nobody showed up for my appointment TWICE. It took an entire day to get through to the company due to my cracked screen which presses buttons for me. When the call successfully went through, the woman sent me to the "escalation" line because she heard my frustration. They then told me I had no appointment at all. I have all confirmation emails, a receipt, and I had previously CALLED that day (!) to confirm my second appointment. When you call the hotline, Temporary pin they send via text DOESNT WORK. What do I mean? Simply that. Thankfully my screen was in a good mood and allowed me to bounce back and forth through apps. I wonder how people with broken phones would go about completing this!
