Dropped my phone. No visible damage, but audio started to fail. Qualified for replacement at AT&T store. They started me with asurion. Online process simple. Phone arrived next day. Data transfer took longer. Only complaint, deductible cost ($275), but much cheaper than new phone.
Lost a phone, stop by the closest store so I could call or have them help me get the process started. Nope, manager could not dial 1-800 outgoing call, and then the online, asks to send a link to the phone. Someone has disconnect there, and totally forgot people can loose phones and what happens if the screen is so damaged you can't see it. Totally stupid! Drive home and call, now the representative 1st tells me it will be there that evening. Sweet, I wait, I wait, then check email that the delivery will not happen and they canceled my claim. Called back, filled another claim. Remember cannot do this online. They explained it had to come from a warehouse and would come next day, nope. Wrong again, came the day after.
I've been paying the Asurion premium on my ATT phone for years. I had water damage and called to make a claim. Received an email stating the claim was approved and processing. 2 days later I had not yet received my shipping information. I called Asurion and was given a FedEx tracking number. Fedex was showing delivery at the end of the day. Checked FedEx later that day and it showed the shipment was returned to sender by the Asurion request. I called Asurion and they told me my claim was canceled due to "fraud". Turns out that the claim was cancelled shortly after it was approved days early. I received no correspondence from Asurion about the about the cancelled claim. The Asurion rep I spoke to earlier in the day still gave me the FedEx tracking number while never bothering to tell me the order was cancelled.
The only fraud going on here is by Asurion. Loyal, long paying customers like me pay their premiums every month and Asurion does not follow up on their end. Furthermore, their customer service is painfully incompetent.
Maybe that's their plan to frustrate customers so they just go buy a new phone and Asurion doesn't have to pay out?
After spending 50 minutes on the phone with customer service and their "fraud group", I have another claim filed and am waiting for the phone to arrive. I'm not holding my breath for it to arrive.
I contacted Verizon back in December of 2020 to see if they could help me resolve a power (battery?) issue with my Samsung Galaxy S3 smart watch. Verizon sent me to their "insurance" carrier Asurion with the premise that they would fix or replace any damaged electronic device in my house. All I had to do was wait out their 31-day delay before submitting a claim, which I did in February 2021. But, when I tried multiple times to submit an online claim, it was denied because I stated that the issue with my watch occurred when I first contacted Verizon. I then demanded to speak to a customer account manager and was told by him that, instead of going through the claims process, I could contact their small device repair outlet (aka: UbreakIfix) and he guaranteed me that they would be able to resolve my issue. I asked him "hypothetically" what if they can't repair the watch? He, again, guaranteed me that they would fix it. So, I call UbreakIFix as instructed only to be told that they in fact DO NOT repair smart watches.
Long story even longer, I'm cancelling my Asurion contract and will be contacting T-Mobile to get away from Verizon as well.
Well,I had dropped my phone and the front of my screen had broken. The phone was cracked and the bottom of the screen was black. My phone would not do nothing. I didn't know what I was going to do,so I went to the nearest at&t store. And I told them my problem,and they took my information,and looked it up and told me that, I had insurance on my phone with Asurion,they put in a claim with Asurion for me. We talked with Asurion on the phone and they told me that I could walk in to one of the Asurion locations near me they gave me the location 15 minutes from my house, and I went to that location. As soon as I went in the store they waited on me took my information, looked at my phone told me my phone would be ready in a hour, the hour went by my phone was ready, my phone had a new screen and it was working Great.I was so happy! And they told me I didn't have to pay nothing because I had insurance with them. They made my day and the employee's was Very nice. Just a Wonderful first time experience, I will recommend Asurion to everyone I know that have a phone very fast service.

Amazing team work from Asurion and AT&T store, I really appreciated the effort from the reps at this location, never tried to upsell or push me into a new plan, I'm unemployed and needed my phone to work and keep my budget to a minimum, I paid the Fair deductible to get an upgraded version of my phone,
It was a very easy process and only took a little time to complete and the refund only took 1 day after they received the product. Which they sent a prepaid label to ship with.
