9/7/16
I had scheduled an appointment at A Unique Touch for Tuesday September 6th. I became very ill on the previous Sunday and called to cancel on Monday the 5th. Since it was Labor Day, the phone went to voicemail and I didnt leave a message knowing they were probably closed and wouldnt get the message until Tuesday morning at the earliest. I called back at exactly 10am when they opened on Tuesday and cancelled. The following day I had a $30 charge to my bank account. I called to inquire about the charge and I was told that since I didnt cancel within 24 hours (which they were closed on Labor Day so I didnt leave a message) I was being charged a late cancellation fee. Even if I had left a message on Labor Day she wouldnt have gotten the message until Tuesday morning until the office opened. She could hear over the phone that I was sick as my voice was very strained and no grace was offered to me for being sick or for her office being closed on Labor Day she only unfairly charged me $30. She informed me that I could have cancelled online, however Im not a current client and I didnt know that. Katherine was very shady and unfair to have charged me a cancellation fee when I had no control over them being closed on Labor Day and she was shady to have charged me $30 without telling me she was charging my card when I called to cancel. I know she didnt lose business due to my cancellation because she told me she could fill the spot fast as she had a three week waiting list. She was very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. Katherine acted unfairly and was shady to have charged me for something she shouldnt have.
