This company is a scam. They claim they can change based on availability of their flower arrangements but WITHIN the same type and following the arrangement chosen. So what they do is create a mediocre arrangement that looks absolutely nothing like the one ordered and not the size specified making the customer feel embarrassed and angry realizing what the recipient received! Not to mention the worst customer service ruining in this case a Birthday. I need accountability from this company. I am beyond disappointed. NEVER ORDER FORM THEM!
Went in with co workers to send get well flowers large arrangement, balloon,and get well card to fellow employee. They received small arrangement no card no balloon. I was embarrassed because I collected money and ordered the flowers, never again looked very cheap!

I tried to secretly orders for my wife, she loves Daisies. I ordered the largest bouquet they offered. They. Called back and said that the designer's in our area only had. 4 Gerber Daisies in our entire area. I said to cancel the order, I'll look elsewhere. The lady said that they would add other flowers as fillers, so after a couple of phone calls, I agreed, They said the order would be there around 5:00, I said five was late but they had to be there by 5. She then said for sure by 6 but that they deliver until 7.
I got home at six and my wife hated the small bouquet of flowers, and why did they text her 3 times and called her one time. So the surprise was over and she was actually mad at me for spending $88.00 on a set of flowers that was an oversized corsage. I will never buy from them again. I ran out to Kroger and got a large bouquet of flowers for $30 and she loved them. Thanks Kroger!

I ordered a balloon bouquet for a friend who's in a nursing home. I was shocked when after entering my credit card service fee $24.95 popped up. I couldn't cancel or stop it. Worst of all the card did not include name of sender. Bad. Bad. My friend didn't know who it came from!

My friend sent me flowers recently. She got a text that they delivered them but I never received them. After much back and forth between she and Avis and I and Avis they agreed to send again.
They sent with overnight UPS delivery, but they weren't picked up for a day and arrived after five days. Needless to say the flowers were very dead and very stinky. They went into the trash. This is the third time friends have sent me flowers from Avis Flowers aka 1-800-Flowers and the flowers were dead upon arrival. I would never recommend this company.

Run and use a local well respected florist in the city or town you are sending the flowers from and the recipient lives.

I ordered this morning at 8am for a delivery for today paid $136. I was calling all day as I got no time frame of delivery. Finally got a hold of someone to only be hung up on I called back and they said they were closed. I will never order from this florist again and I guess the delivery won't happen till tomorrow and no one will be home to except it as she will already be in the hospital. So unhappy

I recently ordered flowers for a visitation and funeral and the flowers were not there. I called customer service several times and got the run around. They told me that the flowers were given to the funeral director, but I looked at all the flowers and mine were not there. I never got a resolution or my money back. Don't use this company unless you have money to throw away.

This florist is awful. So far my delivery is a day late and still have no update on when it will be delivered. They keep telling me I need to call to resolve but I have told them multiple times that I am deployed and do not have phone service for making calls. Besides I paid enough money to not have to call. You already have my money. Deliver my order!

Ordered flowers for sons funeral. Adequate time for florist to fulfill order. My 3 daughters also ordered flowers. All paid for on line. On evening of viewing at funeral home, our flowers were not there as promised. Checked with funeral director who confirmed that no flowers had arrived. My daughters called Avas only to confirm our order had been received but was not able to be filled. What? No phone call or any notification from Avas. These flowers were for my son! How could they do such a thing? Yes we were given a refund a few days later but that did nothing to produce the hundreds of dollars worth of flowers that we ordered for my son!
If you are reading this, please do NOT ever order from Avas.

I ordered 4 arrangements from this place and the 3 that got delivered were not what I ordered and paid for, instead they were smaller and cheap looking. The 4th arrangement was never delivered. Stay away from this place. No one at AVA flowers has returned my calls or emails. I was really hoping this was my new florist.

Ripoff is an understatement! $10 fee for same day delivery is bad enough, but an additional $29 for a "service fee" to cover same day delivery as well?! Flowers that arrived were wilted and half dead. Embarrassing! NEVER, EVER use this company!

These people pose as an actual flower shop and they are not. They are order gatherers taking your order then keeping 50% of it sending it to a flower shop only giving them the other 50% so if you spent 80 the shop gets 40 and then they have the nerve to cancel an order a week a month or three months after it's been done and try and take that other percent from the florist. They are thieves and criminals. Stay away from them call your local flower shop.

Do not order from Avas. So jipped and embarrassing. Send saddest version of a $130 order. Awful, embarrassing sent wilted and was so beyond cheapest quality not 1 flower i bought! Then they pathetically want to pick up up a wilted wrong sad bouquet 5 days later! From an RN supervisor in a nurse facility How sick! Embarrassing no money back which i beg. I ordered an upgrade on the plant I ordered. From 4 to 6. Total came out to over $100 for plant and delivery. The plant my friend got looked nothing like in the picture and there were only 3 different ones in the basket. I am very dissappointed and plan to never order from here again.

Ordered flowers to send to my niece in Atlanta for her graduation day. Made sure the florist was local - or thought so - Ava's flowers showed a physical google maps address in the Toco Hills neighborhood within a mile of my sister/ niece's house. After order placement I noticed a $28 (!) service charge added to my order in the final step (on a $75 bouquet). It looked scammy, so I tried to call and make sure the flowers would be delivered the day requested, told them to leave at door if no answer (even though someone would be home all day). First two times phone didn't work. Then a voice message in Spanish came on. Third time a person answered in English. Assured me my arrangement would be delivered that day by 5pm. Flowers never delivered. My credit card charged over $120, trying to get my money back. Crooks.

The experience was an awful experience. I spent a great deal of time on the phone with the floral sales agent. When I received the confirmation receipt it was not written the way we discussed. You do not get a copy of the receipt until after they receive payment. They add a 24.99 sevice charge plus a delivery charge in addition to the flowers plus tax. They didn't deliver the flowers till 7 pm the day it was supposed to arrive. I called numerous times to find out where the flowers were and they had no information.
